Oh yeah and maybe wear a hat. I think I sun burnt my head yesterday at the safety village. It was great fun. Who wouldn't like handing out traffic tickets to 9 year olds. Especially the boy that kept going though the red light.

Today I have to run and get gift cards for the teachers. I usually get a coffee shop one but both my teachers don't drink coffee or eat dounuts. Nicholas said his teacher drinks 2 litres of water everyday. He wanted me to get her a case of water.

Tomorrow is the last day of school but report cards come home today.

The basement is getting there, he is in the laundry room now. I guess I can't complain he is doing 5 rooms and the other ones are primed, some spots needed touch ups and then we are ready to paint.

Babynurse can always borrow he hubby's hat, but I think that she already has her own cowboy hat.

I loved UP did you see it in 3D? It was sad, but had so many funny parts. I loved Russel and Kevin.

I went and got my teachers gifts this morning. And what did I do. I locked my keys in my car trunk. Had to stand out in the heat until the tow truck came. What a dumb thing to do. Then he was training the guy, which actually was funny because he set off the alarm. Scared the crap out of him, he looks at me. I can't do anything my keys at in the trunk. I was in a hurry to get the milk in the cooler bag and dropped the keys in there. Good thing I did grab my purse or I wouldn't have had the phone or CAA number.

Kids got there report cards. Hannah is an A student , Nicholas a B average. Can't complain.

Marita-- That trip to Germany must have rest you clock to get up early. But you stay so late , your going to burn yourself out.

It was plenty hot here today. 95, I think! At least it wasn't super humid. I went to a different water aerobics class tonight. This one's an hour and 15 minutes with a 15 minute free swim at the end. Dirt cheap - only $4/per class. Less if you buy a punch card. It was a great workout. I went with a coworker. My little sis was supposed to join us, but she fell asleep after work. Cleaning up the flooded basement has really been a big job for her and her housemate.

Nabbie - Congrats on the kids' goog report cards Are sweltering up there yet??!

Cel - I agree with Nab. You should toadily take in the celery shirt!!! I forgot to ask my sis about our dinner. Doh! I'll call her tomorrow.

Hiya, Twink! Tollhouse cookie ice cream sandwich. Yum! I made some "ice cream" earlier this week using chocolate protein powder and soy milk. It tasted kinda like a Frosty.

I think that this line in your story sums it up perfectly. If you don't want to be stalked by creepy men, stay out of the XXX stores in the middle of the night.

So last night after my appointment we used all our free kids meal coupons(and I had a free chicken sandwich coupon, all from VBS) at Chick Fil A. We had no money this week, so it worked out perfectly. Chad used his weekly money to get his sandwich. Want to know how much it cost for just Chad to get a meal with drink and fries and an extra large fry? $9.00. Is that ridiculous or what? It costs us $15 for ALL of us to eat at McDonalds with no free coupons. lol.

In other news- did anyone see Will Farrell on Man vs. Wild? I give it three mocking/laughing smilies.

Also a lost child in UTAH credits Man vs. Wild for his survival after being separated from the group. Kind of reminds me of Indiana Jones "everyone is lost, but me"


Here on the prairie it is hotter than it should be and there is humidity and no wind. It is almost like being back in North Carolina- minus the mountains and beaches of course.

I thought the same thing. While Farrah was not always all here, battling cancer is a horrible thing. And I don't think she ever molested children.
Of course, I partially blame his parents - but not completely.
I hope his "children" are safe. and that their grief is abated.
I've been drinking, so the real cel is appearing. Sorry.

Twink, ITA about MJ. Tres rude to upstage Farrah. I don't really feel bad about his death (NO to any MJ fans). I haven't liked his music since the Off the Wall days (aka, before he decided to change his race and gender). Plus, I am generally not a fan of anyone who molests children.

On the other hand, I do feel for Farrah's family (even her thug son). Poor Farrah....what a horrible, painful end to her life. Hope she's at peace now.


In other non-news, Mr. Lalijack decided to take today off to spend the day with Boris and Natasha. He took them to some Family Camp Day thingy at the Bass Pro Shop (too bad the BBN isn't around to know that her fave store was mentioned), where they talked about fishing and hunting and other outdoorsy things. So after work today, I had the luxury of being able to wash the downstairs floors without the worry of kid feet tromping all over them. Yay?
