P.J-- we have to be the first to volunteer or we don't go because so many parents want to go. Just remember to ride at the back of the bus so you get to feel every bump. And the noise level ....I must be getting old.

Moo-- that is a lot of stuff those blizzards. I love the Strawberry Quake one...yummy. Good thing I don't have them often.
Well if you're getting old then I already am old. I HATE bus rides. I'm sure the teachers will be standing up on a rotating basis telling kids to sit down and shut up. I mean, "please remain seated and lower your voices."

PJ I envy you!!
That's understandable, most people want to be me. ;)

Happy anniversary to the Pumbas!!
Wow, a posting frenzy today, that's great. I'm too tired to go back and comment.

Another long day today. At least it was at home again. At 4:30 I had nothing to do and went to almost leave, but made the mistake to stop by BB's desk. She gave a project to do tonight. I asked if I can it from the couch, she said, no, you have to be in the office 8 hours  But she let me leave by 5:10.
Tomorrow is the big forecast day where we roll up all the resorts and play big boy/girl games, so that will definitely be a late in the office for sure.
Good luck with forecast day!! :cheer2:

Go talk to yourself.

Glad I could gift you all with my posting tonight. I will now be heading to bed. Sweet dreems to everyone.
:grouphug:

Hey, stranger - I'm surprised you could still find that pirate flag!

I think I might need to make use of it this weekend

bbn - Have you ever heard of "Western" as a baby name? Someone on one of my other forums just named her baby boy that.

Pumba - Happy Belated Anniversary!

Moo - You really didn't need to post the nutritional value of that. Holy cow. Especially since we did go to the ice cream place and get ice cream for dinner. lol. I had a small Butterfinger thick shake, which is about twice the size of a small blizzard from DQ.:scared1:

One more week until my big U/S. I hope we can get some answers this time!

B! I've missed you! Even CelMama asked where you've been lately.

moo - thanks for the calorie content. No wonder I felt sick after a third of the small blizzard.

For my imaginary trip, I'm not sure if coming in a day early will work. Nothing is available on the 25th!
I'd have to stay at All star sports! ick!
I toyed with the idea of grand floridian for one night - then I saw the prices.
Nope!
I'll play around with it some more.
Plus I want to minimize my time off from work since I'm low on vacation time.
I was down to one hour after my March vacation! :scared1:
But now I'm back up to 25 after I take half a day on Monday.

Today is our 42nd anniversary......yah I know.....We have been married longer then some of you have been on this earth......Its been a pretty good 42 years......I still get that flutter in the tummy when I see him all "cleaned up good"....he is a good hubby and a good daddy and a good papa and a good doggie lover......Guess I should keep him around longer cause he knows how to use this sewing machine and I DONT......and also makes the giant pies for the holidays......ROFL.....I know I am nuts...

HOpe you all have a good day

What a great story! I love your description of what to look for in a husband. ;)

An edited out pirate flag? Someone will have to give me the cliffs notes.
One more week until my big U/S. I hope we can get some answers this time!

What are the questions? I thought you were not finding out if you needed the pink gingham or blue gingham so all that leaves is the actual due date (which isn't worth a sack of hair at this point) and exciting things like how many fingers/toes and chambers of the heart.

Moo- I have never met a Western but I know two baby boys named Wylie.

bbn - Do you need some horsey blinders to wear while riding with Julia??! Have fun with your shopping :thumbsup2 Of course, we'll expect to see a photo!
.

ok. I'll fire up the ol photobucket account. or not.

Good to see twinks and babycow around!

why ty celery. it is good to see you around too.

Good luck with your bathing suit shopping. I'm so excited that I was able to fine a super cute and flattering one for this pregnancy. You know I've been pregnant 6 times now and the only other time I bought a maternity suit was my FIRST pregnancy... :lmao:

I only had one maternity suit. I think. It's been so long ago....

BBN Saving the throwing of lemons - altho I did use some honey to confuse them completely!

Well it certainly confused me.

. 1. Tomorrow we are going to middle of nowhere Kentucky to see Abraham Lincoln's birthplace.

2. Shoot me now.

3. Get me out of misery.

1. It's not near as good as Lincoln's boyhood home in Indiana. Just sayin

2. gladly

3. WTheck are you doing there? Having a smelt melt???

Happy Anniversary Pumba and Mr Pumba!!!!!
.

I'm signing my name to this post. (thanks Nab):)

Wow, a posting frenzy today, that's great.

Thats what happens when twink and i stop the space/time continum thingy and post. we really are pretty awesome.

at least that's what their tattoos say.

Go talk to yourself.

In other words employ the Princess Jasmine method of entertaining oneself?

Moo- I have never met a Western but I know two baby boys named Wylie.

I don't know a Western. The only Wylie I know chased roadrunners. Did anybody else ever feel sorry for the coyote that he never caught the roadrunner? I did. And I felt sorry for Sylvester never catching tweety. And for the Trix rabbit never getting to eat a bowl of cereal. Hope y'all enjoyed that little trip into my psyche. YW

BBN Great Recap - thanks - Now how is your lemonade??

Moo I'll try and wrangle a computer this weekend!! DIL and DS have invited us over Sat to celebrate Mother's Day....

Pumba MORE ANNIVERSRY WISHES and BLESSINGS 'cause you've earned them!!

PJ but of course!

Alli how are things today?

Celery have you considered what that lady in PA did to stay at GF?

(she faked a kidnapping and embezzled money (allegedly) took her DD 9 to DISNEYWORLD ) WTH is wrong with people? (and why only one of her 3 kids? geez!)

DH- - THE BLACKHAWKS LOST - what are you going to do? "shave off my beard of 10 years...(and just so you know from the age of 18 he has shaved his beard off 3 times - it so traumatized dd that he started growing it back that day :rotfl: and its a family legend story - so what did dd do this am when she finally saw him beardless? Started Screaming and refused to talk to him - she cried to me, she thinks he did it on purpose to punish her :rotfl2: Good gawd teen drama!!

You know like am I going to have a wonderful, yet graphic birth story to tell you guys, or just a scheduled c-section-hopefully-not-gone-wild story. ;) I'm still not cleared for a v birth because it is uncertain what my placenta is doing at this point. :confused3

What an excellent idea.

Sorry I didn't check in, but the DIS would NOT load on my parents computer!:badpc:

Mom did well! The surgery went fine, and she now has a nice new hip! :cool2: They got her up and had her walking on Tues. night. I stayed with her at the hospital Tues. night, and then my dad came and relieved me at 4:00 AM on Thursday. He did that so that I could go back home and sleep in a "real" bed. :cloud9: I got a few hours of sleep which was good since I had to drive back yesterday. I stayed a little too long and got to enjoy the Atlanta traffic. :rolleyes1 Actually, it wasn't too bad. I think it helped that it was a holiday week, and some folks probably weren't in town. I will have to go back next week, and help out some more, so I will probably go MIA again. Sorry! :grouphug:

Thanks for all the good wishes! They worked! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to see mom walking around again.

UPDATE: My mom is home! :yay::woohoo::dance3::cheer2::thumbsup2 She sounds really good! A lot better than when I left yesterday. The Dr. and her PT said she was doing really well. Keep sending lots of good wishes and pixie dust that things continue to improve! Love to you all! :grouphug::love:

You've got them from us Allie :wizard:  :cheer2:

Almost done with laundry - you'd think I've washed everything by now - 15 LARGE loads... but still need to do rugs and some more comforters... ALL the towels are done... (and if not, I dont want to know! DD hid quite a few under her bed!) Not sure at all how to raise dd! I do feel as if I'm failing!!

Allie-- glad your mom is doing so well.

Mommy p-- you never had a c-section have you?

Was P.J's trip today? Hope she had nice weather. It has been raining all day here.

Had Nicholas home with me today...knee is pretty swollen. His uncle bring him some crutches.

I made chocolate chip cookies and Brownies to take to the Brownie potluck tonight. Unlike Lynette I am not a good cook and would not know what to make for 12 people. Only think I make in my crock pot is chili. Someone suggested meatballs but since we weren't told what to bring I thought that would be something everyone would bring. Who knows we might just have dessert for dinner.

Nabbie - Awww, poor Nicholas! Hope he feels better soon

Sandy - My hubby pointed out last night that our daughter may be needing some financial assistance down the road, so our trip is on hold for now :sad1: Dang, fiscally responsible spouses!!!

Allie - Yay for your mom being home!!! Prayer sure does help :grouphug:

MommyP - Calories don't matter much when you're having a pregnancy craving! :goodvibes

Pumba - I really feel for you on the low carb thing. I had a couple ounces of chicken tenders (marinated in OJ, soy sauce, and garlic and cooked on the George Foreman grill) for dinner and I would have liked to have eaten it on a salad with a bunch of chow mein or rice noodles.

Moo-- I live on carbs. What do you miss the most? Sorry about your trip being put on hold.

It was carb heaven at the potluck tonight everyone bring a noodle dish. I didn't like how they did it though. They didn't tell us what to bring just that it feeds 12 people. Someone bring in a 12 slice pizza. Well of course everyone wanted that so the first table took all of it and someone bring in KFC bucket. First table up took that too. :sad2: I think they should have just took money and order everyone pizza. Especially the pick kids that ate little.

But now Hannah is or could be a Girl Guide. Have to register. She is not to sure yet. Little afraid I think because the badges get harder.

They get to go camping one last time and it has been raining for two days straight. Hope it drys up by Saturday they go rain or shine.

Nabbie - I think I am missing pizza, rice (I want some full-fledged Chinese food and sushi!), and chocolate the most lately. Not having ice cream doesn't bother me all that much. There was an ice cream social at work Tuesday and I just took my lunch in and ate that. I did have a few Triscuits with some cheesespread at a retirement open house today, but I didn't have anything else and there was cake and a ton of cookies on the table.

But there are lots of other good things to eat. I have had some almonds and a few cherries lately. I have just been buying a very small quantity of things that I crave.

Marita checking in..

Got home at 11pm for the office tonight, UGHH! Drove home in the dark with wet roads, and I don't see well in the dark. Almost rearended a van was was dead-stopped at a toll booth that is drive-through, WTH?

Stupid me volunteered to work on something for BB tonight after I got home, and she emailed me a little while ago to expand on what she wants. GREAT! But she did say IF I work on it, so I guess I have an out if it is too much for tonight.

Moo, sorry about the trip.
Aliie, YAY for your mom.
Everyone else

Off to do some more work....
