Marita -- I say that about hamburger. Why can they not pack them in 1 pound packages it is always 1.5 or more.

I need new clothes too but that is because I am getting bigger. :scared1: My tops all getting too short. Maybe I shrink them , yes that is it.

We just had a passing cloud go by with rain. Now the sun is out again. Better go finish my gardening before another cloud comes and doesn't leave. Poor Hannah is going to be camping in the rain by the looks of it, haven't heard anything that it is canceled. :confused3

2300 is bigger then my house!
It's like 500sq. ft bigger than mine. It always gets me when hotels and vacation rentals are larger than my home and say my family is too big to stay in them.

Your house is bigger then mine . Ours is 1634 ft. But I guess it will be bigger living space once the basement is done. They don't count that when you buy it because it is unfinished. And of course yours is a bungalow and my is spread over two floor so yours will look bigger too.

We built ours at 1600, but since we closed in half the garage it became 1800. We have about 300 more unfinished sq. ft. that we can close in one day. The rest of the garage and back porch.

I think 2 story houses look bigger. :)

Marita - Sounds like you had a heck of a work week :headache:

That's too bad that Susan Boyle didn't win, but maybe some of the pressure will be off her now and, who knows, she may end up with a record deal and/or singing for the Queen some day any way!

Thanks for posting the Leno/Billy Crystal video. I enjoyed watching that since I missed it last night.

I've been having a relaxing day today. I made a couple batches of those mini quiche bites -- the Philly cheesesteak ones again (yum!) and some pizza ones for Don. The pizza ones were OK. MUCH better than the smoked salmon ones I made. I had a couple of those, then the rest of that batch went in the trash, LOL!

Cel - Sounds like ale in all you're having a nice weekend getaway!!! Too bad your Internet isn't more convenient.

Nabbie - Did Hannah get home? Hope she didn't get too wet!

Lynette - Too bad schools don't teach table manners these days since apparently some parents don't do a good job of that :scared:

I'm sure that PJ will be more than happy to incorporate Table Manners into her curriculum :)

I made some Red Lobster bisquits tonight, after dinner. Late night snack, I guess... But now I have to clean the dishes after everthing was cleaned before, GRRRRRRRRRRR!

OH, My only ever so far sports shoutout:

GO MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

No Hannah isn't home. We dropped her off at 6:00 and a storm went though about 7:00 , lightening and all. I was waiting for a call saying come pick her up but didn't get one. They are actually camping in someone's huge back yard so I am hoping they were in the house when it went though.

I wouldn't want to be camping tonight. It is suppose to get colder too!

Nicholas and hubby are watching the hockey game and I am here and doing the wash at the same time.

I will be careful Marita :lmao: For some reason the dryer is behind. I hate when that happens. The towels are taking extra long tonight.

For some reason I never think of your hubby being home at the same time as you....he is usually sleeping or working when you speak of him....:lmao:

Nab, the only time hubby and I are up at the same time are Friday nights and Saturday and part of Sunday afternoon. And rhen we are usually in different rooms.

I cleaned up the bisquit dishes. Have to put those away and empty the dishwasher. Funny thing, since the kids left, we rarely use the dishwasher, pretty much never during the week. No cooking to speak of. I actually planned using enough dishes to justify the dishwasher toninght, LOL.

Run my dishwasher everyday. We would run out of bowls and teaspoons if I didn't. Kids use a bowl for everything, when they have cereal in the morning to snacks at night. Cut up an apple it goes in a bowl, crackers bowl....you get the picture. Not sure why they use so many spoons. :confused3

Soon I will be running it and the washer after 9:00 always. June 1st they are going to charge us 9 cent per/kilowatt of power between peak hours, when we pay 5 cents now. But after 9 it will be 4 cents. There is a middle time to where it is still 5 cents but not sure the times yet.

I am rambling now , I really should got to bed....

Go see UP - take kleenex!

Ds and dil are at odds - ds came over Fri and said dont come Sat - I decide to call dil - just in case... at 4:30 middle ds and his gf come over, lets go see UP - I dont want to see UP, why? I"LL CRY!! Dh buys tickets on Fandango - dil calls - why dont you come over for dinner - we promised you a Mother's Day... why yes, yes you did, but since you didnt answer DS and GF are taking me to the movie! :sad2:

my world of drama. :sad2:

Congrats to Detroit. Wings beat Penquins!

Orlando Magic wont the Eastern NBA finals. w00t!!!!!!!!!!

Nab, I used to run the dishwasher all the time too, but since the kids left, no need, we are mostly in manual mode.

Sandy, I read a review of "UP" yesterday, it got 4 out of 5 stars in the local paper

DH is really annoying me by still being up, I dont know why, he is quietly in his room LOL.

I think I'll go empty the dishwasher now

Happy Sunday to all! We are enjoying a gorgeous day here. DH took Boris for his Cub Scout Marshmallow Musket Muster. They've been working on a marshmallow gun for about 2 weeks, and today is the day they're going to show it off and put it to use. Boris was quite excited. He also has soccer tryouts later today for next season.

Natasha and I went for a schmai through Target this morning. Bought new bed pillows, some toys for Mojo and other random stuff I didn't really need.

Now I'm getting some cooking and laundry done while we wait for DH and Boris to return from their adventures. DH is hoping to get to the pool supply store later so he can open the pool!

Lynette - Too bad schools don't teach table manners these days since apparently some parents don't do a good job of that :scared:

::yes::

I'm sure that PJ will be more than happy to incorporate Table Manners into her curriculum :)

Having shared 2 meals with Peej last summer, I can definitely say that I would greatly prefer her table manners to Caveboy's.

Since I'm such a lazy slug that I don't want to search yesterpage for the link to the biscuit recipe, would you mind re-linking? I think they'd be great with the minestrone I'm making today. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, Marita!

And now for Pumba's presents!!!!!!!!!!

Pumba, if you're going to have a camp, you really ought to have a boat to enjoy as well! Here you go....
