This mamma is tired. To many hats today.

I thought of you Twinks when I got my test back in psych today, heh.

He's our extra credit assignment from that class.

I have to wear a pink triangle on myself for a few days. If anyone asks what's it for I have to respond: I am wearing this pink triangle to commemorate the gay men and lesbians tortured and murdered during the Holocaust.

I was given back ground info to answer questions that may come up.

I have to write a paper on how people responded and how I felt while wearing it. If no one bites I am encouraged to show the pin and get people to talk about it.

Ok, I work with a bunch a kids all day long. I forsee all of us wearing pink triangles tomorrow because 1: they are pink, 2: it's a shape they all know and love. 3: If Ms. Monica is wearing one, they all will want one.

I think tomorrow's theme will be pink triangles........

I do have a bar outing I'm contemplating for Friday, let's see how adventurous I am feeling then.

Have a wonderful night!

LIl'G, i heard that too today, they closed MK to all guests, but it only lasted about 1 1/2 hours, then it was reopened to at least resort guests. I feel for those poor folks stuck in a park at total capacity.

If anyone has followed ZZUB's blog, he posted his final post today, from what it looks like.

Again? How many times is he going to go into hiding? Why is he shutting it down?

Hard boiled eggs are easy. The last 3 dozen I've done have peeled really easy. I dump baking soda in the pan stick the eggs in and cover them with water. Bring them to a boil, turn off the burner, set the timer for 17 minutes. Then I get them in ice water ASAP. Even Kaleb helped me peel them.

We colored 3 dozen yesterday between my boys and my nephew. It was a blast. The babies were dunking their whole hands in the color while keeping a grasp on the egg. Isaac has an egg with little fingers on it. Too bad it can't be kept. lol

Moo - Is your DH having the same surgery as you?

Mony - Hope you're feeling better today.

I had an u/s tonight, but they canceled it because the DR. had a meeting come up at the hospital. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks. :headache:

There are 4 kittens. :headache: Do you know how hard it is to keep those suckers alive once they get about 8 weeks and wander around?

mony - hope you feel better soon. the pink triangle experiment should be interesting.
at least you can write a paper that's more child development related since your kids will all want one!

moo - the extra chills is the weirdest part.
My hands stay cold most of the time now.
In fact, I'm freezing right now!

it snowed yesterday. no sticking or anything - just flurries - and then this morning there was frost on my windshield! crazy!

b - you ok healthwise? no more hospital stays?

hi to peej and to everyone else.

MommyP - Yes, my hubby is having the same type of weight loss surgery that I just had, but he's going through a different doctor (same practice though). It should make shopping and eating a little easier in the future!

Hmmm, I've never heard of putting baking soda in the water to hard boil eggs. My last batch did not peel well at all, so that's why we have been buying the ready-to-eat ones lately. I can't eat eggs until later this month.

Cel - The not getting overheated so easily aspect is an unexpected benefit for me at times! Although, I have felt chilled now and then because I'm not used to dressing warmer yet. I still have plenty of insulation, so it doesn't really make sense to me - must be a metabolic thing.

Lil'g -- I sent that cold to you with a no refund policy. :lmao: I can also sent you more Girl Guide cookies if you would like. Hannah is selling them. We have four boxes left so that isn't too bad.

Moo-- are you working from home today? It has been freezing out the last two days, it has only been 10F here. Isolated snow flurries too but none is sticking to the ground thank goodness.

I have been busy cleaning what I can around here because the piles are starting to get to me so the rooms with no piles need to be clean. That and my bathrooms need attention bad and with my BIL here now I have to look good...

After a good morning of school...(yay! I think not starting Ethan in anything yet was the best thing I could do. He learned to recognize numbers 1-10, maybe more, and write them on his own and he is really ready for learning letters, sounds and writing. I had him write upper and lowercase Ss and he never once whined or complained, which my other boys did do, and he did almost perfect work. )

...I detrashed and decluttered the truck and vacuumed it and soaped it down AND armor alled it. Yay! It was so nasty filthy! I might go do the outside this afternoon...

Nab
- My bathrooms always need cleaning. Chad doesn't know how to brush his teeth without splattering the mirror and spitting all over the entire sink and faucet. And my boys bathroom should have a bio hazard sign on the door.

HELLO!

Quick check in.....I'm home for lunch.

Moo! 30 pounds!?! Awesome! It's just the beginning... :)

PJ....Naked gay bars dancers? Thanks for that image. :scared:

MP.....Is this one a princess? Or are we waiting on the ultrasound. That you didn't get. princess:

Cel! It snowed here too yesterday and my windshield was frosted up this morning. Bring on some global warming.

Monica.....Glad prayers were answered for Tim.

WT....My daughter was in St. Louis over Spring Break and love, love, loved the City Museum. And the Arch. Although it's a little claustrophobic. Apparently.

Much love to everyone else!

My BIL showed up at the new house yesterday with a housewarming present....a new gas grill! No, really! I'm so excited. Now I just need the glowtini recipe, some of those glowing cubes, a few friends and I'm ready for a party!

EVERYBODY HAVE A GREAT WEDNESDAY!

Since I wasn't here on Sunday........

"When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me. I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness." ---John 12:44-46

Happy Holy Week.

Isaac eating his first ice cream cone. He made less of a mess than his oldest brothers do. :confused3 (super creepy eye, in camera red eye fixer isn't so great. lol)

Luther - We're waiting on delivery. ;) Everyone hates it, sorry!

Twink - Did you get your test written? Was it a hard one?! Too funny about the accidental call to MommyP! Maybe your little guy wanted a kitten!!! :lmao:

1. Yes.
2. I don't think so but my students said otherwise.
3. Shhh!!! Don't say anything. I wouldn't put it past MommyP to fedex us a couple.

I thought of you Twinks when I got my test back in psych today, heh.

Heh. I hope you got an A+ :thumbsup2

1. Hi Melinda!!!!
2. Despite MP's assurances below, I have my suspicisions about this one. ;)
3. Sounds delightful!!! I am ready for spring and outdoor living.

Ri-ight. We could keep a secret. We really could. But thanks for the adorable pictures- especially the big purple belly. You look great! I am still amazed at our identical strangers. Let me see if I have a recent pic.

Mommy P-- I think I need name tags on the boys...:lmao: I think they are really changing there looks. Love how you let them just get dirty. I know people that don't let there kids be kids.

Twinkie-- That must be it the hair and the beautiful blue eyes.

I should have done the plastic Easter eggs for our hunt on Sunday but didn't get that done. I only have tomorrow now to do them while the kids are at school. Short week this week and next week for them. I will boil three dozen eggs on Friday to colour. I never heard of the baking soda either ...that is to peel easier?

Twinkie - I SWEAR I do not know what the baby is. At my last u/s I told the Dr. that I did not want to know for any reason and he told me to look away when he went to check out the kidneys and junk. Isaac is the only one we ever found out with and we both swore we would never do it again.

I think besides their haircuts and blue eyes their little noses are similar and their coloring is also. Such beautiful boys!

Nab - Yes I think it is supposed to make them easier. Also chilling them AS SOON as they are done with ice water.

I actually just had a hard boiled egg for a snack. :)

I decided against washing the outside of the truck today. After getting Isaac down for his nap I decided to take it easy. My back and hips are killing me from cleaning the inside of the truck this morning.

MP- there is something about their expressions too that is so similar. Oddest thing! Your sons all look so different. It will be exciting to meet this next Little Poppins, princess or pirate. You should take it easy. I should get to work. I have a bad case of laziness. I have tons to do and company coming. TOMORROW. Not to mention tests to grade and lectures to prepare and worksheets to write.

NAB- Are you travelling for Easter? Oddly enough here on the prairie, land of everlasting teacher work days, my kids do not have Good Friday or Easter Monday off. :confused3 No school on Apr 18th however. :confused3

Nabbie - Yep, I'm working from home today and have been peeking in during my morning and afternoon breaks!

MommyP and Twink!
I'm lovin' the boys' photos today!!! And B should be happy to see an updated preggo pic ;)

Hi, Lex!!! Yay on the housewarming gift! :yay:

Bye, everyone . . . back later.

Twinkie - I am so glad my boys all look so different. I'd hate for them to just get lost in the "crowd" because we have a large family(of all the same sex, minus me. lol) It seems so often that large families all look alike. My sisters is like that. All blonde hair blue eyes. I'm glad Chad and I are opposites!

Moo - lol

Today was an interesting day in the world of thugs. One of mine got suspended. This is his second suspension this year (fourth overall), so he might get kicked out for real this time. I'm not sure how I feel about that yet. I mean, he earned it and all. Another one of my little girl thugs had this headbands with a bunch of circles/holes in it. It was plastic. She stuck her fingers in the little holes and got them stuck. I mean they were really stuck. And when I would try to pull them out she would scream. We tried lotion. We tried soap. Then I finally gave up and just broke the dang thing since it was plastic. Hope her mom doesn't mind!

After all that I got an email offering me a job at a private Christian Montessori school on an island off the coast of Georgia. It's a small class of about 10 third graders and it pays well. They want to fly me out there and interview me. Tempting, but I'm sure I won't actually do it.

I am waiting to get a new cord for my camera to hook it up to my laptop. I lost mine. What else is new. When I get it I'll post some pictures. We make our big Ellen debut on Monday. I'm sure our dancing will be prominently featured.

Monica
...hope you're feeling better.

Moo...glad to hear of your success already!

MommyP/Twink...wow! They really do look alike! That's so crazy. They're both absolutely adorable.

We don't get Good Friday or Easter Monday off either. Lame. I was thinking of taking a personal day one of those days. :scratchin Again, tempting.

Lexi...it's so good to see you around lately!! :goodvibes

Peej! I'm so happy not to have missed the Ellen show you were on! I'll be sure to set the Tivo. Looking forward to seeing the trip photos :hyper:

Boy, that job in GA does sound pretty tempting!!! Just think how much closer you'd be to the Mouse ;) Sorry the thugs were so naughty today.

I got some great news this afternoon - Mari is coming home a day early!!! So she'll be here tomorrow night :woohoo:

Threadkiller Moo, I think you transferred your former appetite to me:laughing:

I was looking at recipes online to see if I could find a good eggsalad recipe, but I think I'll stick with my old one.

ANyway, along the way, I ran across a Paula Deen recipe (quick and easy) for steak Diane. Got almost 50 reviews with average 5 star rating. I might try that this weekend or some other time.

Here is the link if anyone wants to look:

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/steak-diane-recipe/index.html

I saw some people say the recipe leaves out to add some oil to the butter for browning, also lots of people liked more mushrooms.

MommyP and Twink, wow on the boys. Twins seperated at birth!
I agree on having nametags on the boys, I never remember which is which.... (except for the baby). Cute pics, and your belly looks perfect, LOL!

Lexi, great to seeing you popping in again.

Peej, no Easter candy for the thugs. I would go with staying closer to home with family and friends, myself. I speak from experience (a bit farher than Kentucky and Georgia)

So I had Friday scheduled off as vacation day. This afternoon late, we got a meeting invite from the Director for "All Hands" meeting on Friday. Which looks like they are going to announce out new org structure, which will like impact my team. So I moved my day off from Friday to Monday (but there is another meeting I want to be in then), back to this Friday, then to next Friday. GEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone,

Sorry, I was spending most of my day, evening making pierogies.

Yummy!

We have to finish tomorrow.

We made farmers cheese, kraut, potato, and tomorrow more kraut (my recipe) and mushroom with cabbage.

We means, me and my mom.

I tired and my nuggies (new-gees) hurt.
just in case any of you were wondering, that means my feet hurt.
