Allie - I've had such easy and uneventful pregnancies, labors and births that I am a prime candidate for a home birth or birth center. I can't wait.

We are pretty much decided to just be us. Once I mentioned that I was thinking about it Chad was all for it. We just have to figure out how to tell Mom. :scared1: We also want some time alone with the kids before everyone comes around. We've never had that before and I've always hated that.

GUESS WHAT??????!!!!!!!
I AM GOING TO GO SEE THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!! I LOVE Ellen. I watched it in college a lot. I maintain she is the funniest person alive. She totally cracks me up. We're going to be in LA for a few night after Disneyland so we're going one of those days. Someone from the show called me today to get our info for the tickets. I picked it up even though the kids were in the room and I was just so happy!!!! Now, how to make enough of a spectacle that we make it on the show? :scratchin

Good gravy.
You're welcome. I had a feeling you would appreciate it. Glad to hear the beurking hasn't spread! What a relief! Continue with the Lysol routine and all is sure to be well.

Allie...I was laughing at the visual of all your little buggers covered in purple and red frosting. WHITE frosting people...WHITE!!! We always do birthdays at the end of the day (except when we have pringles ;) ) so I never have time to get them to wipe their faces. I always send them off to the bus with colorful mouths.

MommyP...glad the tour went well. Sorry to have scarred you for life with Obama.

My thoughts for the day:
Boys are dumb. I don't like them.
Girls are dumb. I don't like them.
Dogs are nice and kind and will always be there for you.
I'm going to date dogs!

That is all.
Can I offer you a little Carrie Underwood? I'll just give you an excerpt.
I close my eyes
And I kiss that frog
Each time finding
The more boys I meet,
the more I love my dog

I know I quoted more people. I'm sure of it. I was going to wish Moo a happy telecommuting day and then something for Nab maybe? I dunno!

One of my kids had to go to the ER today. He stuck a pencil in his ear and the lead broke off and was stuck in there. They had to flush the ear out or whatever. His mom called me back. Apparently it was a painful process. What a doofus. Don't think he'll be sticking pencils in his ear tomorrow!

Peej! Does she still do the dancing thing!!! It would be so cool if you could dance with her!
I think she's hilarious too.

Thank you for the carrie underwood lyrics. Definitely true.
Doesn't she sing the red high heels one too?

So what? I'm still a rock star and I don't need stupid boys!

Yes! She does!! I will be more than happy to dance. We're thinking we should bring the infamous Clue picture to show Ellen. As if we'll actually get to speak to her. Hey, we can dream, right?

Red High Heels is Kellie Pickler. She has some really good ones too.

Come on, what's not to love? This is right after the inauguration. I think I laughed for an inexcusable amount of time when I first saw this one. I wanted so badly to laugh when I saw Aretha Franklin wearing this at the inauguration but had to set a good example for my kids.

howdy everyone...

Its Wednesday .YIPPEE......Tonight hubby and I went out to a mexican restaurant....it is our favorite place .....delicious...so anywhoooooo.....it is nice to go out with him and just sit there and TALK...no interruptions or doggie trying to get between us and kiss HIM......hahaha

FOR Lent I never made my children give up something......rather I would say that they were to be good to others and kindness to everyone.....I remember one year when ever I said a ca ca word I would have to make another pair of penance slippers. THEN give them to the school for their winter festival.....I tried to explain that once to one of the nuns at the school....she laughed..

My daughter in law came yesterday and she hadnt had any power for two days....when she went home last night about an hour later the power came on...she was very happy.......they had all come here to take showers and clean up a bit.......They are going to take our generator and keep it at their house......they are more apt to lose power then we are.......

have a good day everyone

When Nicholas was in grade 1 a kid came by and tried to take his pencil and erase his work, Nicholas tried to stop him and the pencil went up his nose. Huge nose bleed and I got called to come and all they said was he got a pencil up the nose. I thought he did it himself. The lead was broke off so I had to go get him checked out. It was a sub teacher that day too, I felt bad for her.

Cool on the Ellen show. You will have to tell us when it airs.

About the pencil leads -
I have two in my wrist - one on each side! Not on purpose - one was in 4th grade - I thought it'd be smart to go to recess with a pencil in my pocket! :rotfl2:
The second was in 10th grade - I turned around to talk to a guy behind me and he just happened to have his pencil up.
Oops!

But up the nose?
And in the ear?
ACK!

Pumba - what are penance slippers?

peej - YEs! Bring the pic!
Is it just you and Eren that day?
Hollywood and Ben (was he in the pic) won't be there?

because I was trying to be good during Lent that year......(hahaha) ....whenever I said a bad word or talked about my X friend.....I would say......okey for that Marie you have to make another pair of slippers and give them to the church for the schools festival.....SOOOO I called them my penance slippers.......Penance meaning an act of being sorry for my sins ...which in this case was saying dirty words or talking about others ....

I am brain dead!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have variances I cant explain. They are making us put in adjustments that mess things up, and is due at noon tomorrow.

I can't think anymore!

In Knitfreak news, she learned today that her future in-laws are arriving a day earlier than planned in May, so she gets to meet them and spend the evening with them all by her lonesome for the evening (first time ever), while her fiance is working. She was thrilled .... NOT!

Extra thoughts - fingers crossed for a beurk free martha household.
congrats on the grades, mony.
allie is the southern martha.
note to mommyp: Apparently I'm dating zero boys. I dunno. :confused3

Thanks, Cel. And hang in there. I always say, "Men are like buses...one comes along every 10 minutes." :rotfl:

Lynette -- I will keep my fingers crossed that you and the rest of the family don't get it. This has been a bad year for stomach flu.

Thanks, NAB! Boris is feeling well again, he had a light suppah and decided to shower and go to bed early. I'm still praying that we've seen the last of whatever it was.

Cool! That should be fun! But don't fret......I have NO doubt that you and the Peejettes will make a sufficient spectacle to gain some facetime on camera.

Ha! That hat inspired a raucous whoop of laughter at a wildly inappropriate volume the first time I saw it. It's so Aretha-as-Fancy-Nancy!

Know what I realized this afternoon? I forgot to watch Nip/Tuck last night! ACK! I didn't even remember to DVR it. Was it new? Cel? BBN? :confused3

How exciting to get to see Ellen!!!:cool1: Definitely worth pickin' up that phone for that one! :thumbsup2

Um, how about NO CUPCAKES AT ALL!!!! :) <- that's my mean lady smilie face. ;) I like the mama's that send in cookies, or even the mama that sent in mini doughnuts last week. Much better than the cupcakes. We had ours after lunch. Glad we didn't have them at snack (which is at the beginning of the day). ::yes:: I just don't think mom's realize what a mess they are. :sad2: I must say I have a new appreciation for a lot of things since becoming a helper.

Man, I'll take my cupcake disaster over your pencil lead broke in the ear incident. YOUCH!!! :scared:

Oh, and my coworker, who I'm subbing for, got to come home from the hospital today. :thumbsup2 She still has to rest and recover at home for the rest of the week, but I know she's happier at home. And I'm sure the hospital is happier too.

Ouch. Poor Nicholas. I just felt so silly making that phone call. "Uh yeah, I need you to come get your kid, he stuck a pencil in his ear and we can't get the lead out." This was not at all surprising coming from this child. Before I could even finish saying "he stuck a pencil in his ear" the mom replied "of course he did." :lmao: She was very understanding.

I can't wait to hear who will be on that day too! Kenny Chesney??! Jacob Black?! ;) Surely it will be someone great.

You HAVE 2 in your wrist or HAD 2 in your wrist?

As you desire, I will bring the picture. There may or may not be another "re-creation" picture I could bring. :rolleyes1 It will be me and Eren for sure and possibly others. Hollywood is coming for part of the time and is not sure she can stay until the day we go to Ellen. We have a friend we went to college with who lives in LA who will more than likely be joining us that day. We have 4 tickets, so we'll find someone! Any takers?

Good luck getting everything done in time.
:grouphug:

Cool! That should be fun! But don't fret......I have NO doubt that you and the Peejettes will make a sufficient spectacle to gain some facetime on camera.
The Peejettes!!! Is that anything like the Rockettes? Maybe similar but cooler? I'm really diggin that. I think they should have shirts made. Mine will say The Peej and theirs The Peejettes. And they have to do everything I say. Now to convince them. :scratchin

Allie...you snuck in on me! I second the NO cupcakes! SO messy!!! I HATE the ones with the little plastic rings in them more than anything. Unless we eat them at the end of the day I am confiscating those and throwing them away all day long. @@

What's all the fuss with Nip/Tuck? Why's it so good? What's it about? What am I missing?

Peej! Love Aretha's hat on Ellen. What a hoot!!! :rotfl2: That's so cool that you got tickets to her show. I hope you're going to do live updates during your trip for us.

My telecommute day is tomorrow  I have a doctor's appointment mid-day so the day should fly by.

L - Yay for beurking boy feeling better. What a relief that it hasn't spread.

Nabbie - Chocolate chip pancakes sound yummo.

Cel - I had a pencil stuck in the side of my wrist when I was young too :scared: I don't think there's still a piece in there, but I can still see the spot. Freaky. Boo on your bad cyber date boys :sad2:

At least your WDW trip is coming up quick!!!!!

Marita: :scared1: Dang work.

Allie and all the other multi-kid wranglers here - Thanks for doing what you do. Those of us who would end up in a rubber room if we had to do that thank you!

Now I need to go look at B's youtube videos.

Thanks, Cel. And hang in there. I always say, "Men are like buses...one comes along every 10 minutes." :rotfl:

So true. Even more so when you consider she apparently dated both the Mafia and the Armenian Mob. ;)

MarthaStewart-Glad Boris feels better.

In a way freaky case of cross country internet mind control, Grasshopper be'urked allll night monday night. It was horrible. He is too little to give you any warning or hold over a toilet. We went through all the jammies and most of the towels and blankets in the house. He has stopped be'urking but hasn't had a bite of solid food since Monday night. And one twinkie twin stayed home to school today due to her arriving home off the bus with a fever of 103.6. We have been battling viruses all month. I am bored of winter and lysol.

Peej- Congrats on the Ellen tix! And why is everybody laughing at Aretha's hat? It looks great on me. :goodvibes

Moo- Have a good day tomorrow!

Allie- Thanks for the heads up on red icing. I'll save that for the really "special" teachers. *

Wendy- I am sure you will never see this but you are missed.

Lexy- The same goes for you too.

BDG- How are ya?

BBN- I am IN. When is the next olympics?
