Whatcha gonna do now?
Well, Sandy, if I can't convince some of my IRL friends or family to join me, I certainly will be checking with my DIS peeps, because I will NOT be letting those points go to waste!
It sure would be easier if they could be used more places than SSR or
Disneyland. I'd LOVE to try a cruise or BCV. Sigh.
I think I know someone who is going to Disneyland who could use those points. You could give them to her! Now what was her name again?

Kidding, kidding. I vote for the 2 bedroom. Then again, you'll never be able to go back to a studio after that.
At least you've finally come to terms with what we all already knew.
Today's fun update:
I’m staying at a Hampton Inn in Pittsburgh. It’s undergoing a massive remodel, which I knew. So the workout room is temporarily closed – you can see me every night in the parking lot walking/jogging since I’m trying to lose some extra weight.
And remember the key card machine is broken so every time I want in my room, the front desk has to walk me up and let me in.
Then this morning there’s no electricity!
I had to use my Nintendo DS as a flashlight to see.
I did get a hot shower, thank goodness – so after not having hot water in Cincinnati, I think I like not having power better.
I asked the front desk clerk what they were going to do tomorrow to liven things up – she said she thinks maybe a bonfire in the lobby.
Hey, your day sounds a lot like mine!
Peej- nevah let the parents get your real email, phone number or address
Life continues to be overbooked this week. Fortunately my eye apt was cancelled. Unfortunately work is kind of yucky this week. I need some light and fluffy entertainment so post away
Too late. Plus the parents I had to call today (only 2) had to be called from my cell phone since we had no land lines d/t no power.
I tried to think of something light and entertaining to post. And then I gave up. The end. You're welcome.
Had to drop the kids off today because is is pouring rain with one heck of a wind out there.
They are going to the show and skating after that. So they are having a fun day today. They say it is to celebrate Family day which is on Monday and they have off. Weird to call it that since there family isn't there too. We were invited to go but I have Valentine cookies to make so I can send them to school tomorrow as a surprised.
Sandy-- you can be as old as you want to be.

Are you at the library again?
Twinkie-- sorry for your yucky week. Hope someone comes along to entertain you since you do such a good job of entertaining us.
This is not getting my stuff done....better go or I will still be here in an hour.
Sounds like a fun day for the kids! I made my kids valentine cookies, too. My assistant wrote them all poems, printed them on really cute paper, and had them laminated. Uhhhhh yeah, the kids will be getting a paper valentine and a cookie from me!
Marita...I wonder if anyone would ever complain about being upgraded. Idk, maybe there's someone out there who just looooves Pop and would rather stay there than the Beach Club. People are wIerd, ya know.
Well, today was quite the day in Montessori-ville. I walked into the building around 8:15 and there were no lights!! The power was still out from the storm. There were various faculty members herding kids up to the gym since the cafeteria (where they usually go in the morning) was pitch black. You should have seen them all stumbling up the pitch black stairwell. We only had one flashlight. I rescued one of my second graders from a pile of kids who had all fallen. Seriously. Most of my kids get free breakfast at school, so they brought around dry cereal for breakfast in the classrooms. For lunch they ordered Papa John's pizza for the kids. Can't cook without power!!
The stairwells were more or less impassable and the bathrooms were a mess. I don't even want to remember it.

There are no windows in there so it was of course pitch black. Our assistants took turns holding flashlights in the stalls, but we didn't have near enough flash lights. The kids could use the toilets but not flush them. That started smelling really nice really quickly.

My kids were all freezing and we all had our coats on in the building. I mean, I'm all for not having any more make up days, but when you have kids in a building and you cannot feed them, they're freezing, and there are no bathroom facilities, that's a good reason to cancel school. We finally got a generator around 2:00. Hopefully the power will be back on tomorrow. I'm exhausted, the kids were out of control with all the excitement.
To add to the day, around noon the principal brought me a little girl and said "surprise, you have a new student!!"

Is it time to go to bed yet?
