Interesting fact of the day. Keep this a Dis secret, no guarantees anyway, this is a gamble.

Apparently the strategy of Revenue Management is to overbook the Values and then move the overflow to the Delux Resorts for the 7/4 deal. So you could (emphasis is COULD) find yourself booking POP and getting upgraded to a delux. But if you booked a QSR meal plan, you might find yourself scr, a, messed up on that end, as some dont really have any QSR place;

Oh, I remember now. Just on one day, we got 75 parties that got shipped over from values. Which means that we are understaffed everywhere because that was not in forecasted volumes... Not huge in total terms, but still....

On a different note, I'm trying to decide how I'm going to spend my Saratoga Springs developers points since my sister decided she can't afford to join me after our family trip for DD's birthday. With my points for four nights, I can get 3 studios (!!!), a studio plus a 1 BR, or a 2 BR, so I'm thinking a girls' trip sounds really good, but I would have to figure out who could I get to join me in September

I just got ripped on the Salma Hyek breastfeeding thread (I know Cel keeps telling me to stay off the CB!) I just happened to relate to Selma bf a newborn African baby -

but sheesh - did I upset a mom who breastfed all 3 of her kids!! just hit a nerve!! (I related how one time when DS was a month old we were helping friends move- her baby was 1 day old, and she forgot she was nursing - that baby was screaming - and it was before cell phones!! The guys thought I should step up and nurse the screaming baby- I was shocked, and hormonal - but just as the debate got going mom came running in!! WE LOL'd at the prospect of me "sacrificing"

Well, Sandy, if I can't convince some of my IRL friends or family to join me, I certainly will be checking with my DIS peeps, because I will NOT be letting those points go to waste!

It sure would be easier if they could be used more places than SSR or Disneyland. I'd LOVE to try a cruise or BCV. Sigh.

The dh said "It will just freak her out a little bit."

But what The dh didn't know is PJ is an irl stalker/trollop so she befriended The Tad.

I sent him (The Tad not The dh) a text telling him that he is an idiot.

Today's fun update:
I’m staying at a Hampton Inn in Pittsburgh. It’s undergoing a massive remodel, which I knew. So the workout room is temporarily closed – you can see me every night in the parking lot walking/jogging since I’m trying to lose some extra weight.
And remember the key card machine is broken so every time I want in my room, the front desk has to walk me up and let me in.
Then this morning there’s no electricity!
I had to use my Nintendo DS as a flashlight to see.
I did get a hot shower, thank goodness – so after not having hot water in Cincinnati, I think I like not having power better.
I asked the front desk clerk what they were going to do tomorrow to liven things up – she said she thinks maybe a bonfire in the lobby.

Busy day. Work then get off early to go see DD's Tech. Fair at her school followed by the Valentine's event. (can't call it a party, but that's what it is) Then Piano this afternoon, and somewhere in there I need to ride my bike for 40 minutes, so I can be ready for that darn 1/2 marathon I signed up for.

Had to drop the kids off today because is is pouring rain with one heck of a wind out there.

They are going to the show and skating after that. So they are having a fun day today. They say it is to celebrate Family day which is on Monday and they have off. Weird to call it that since there family isn't there too. We were invited to go but I have Valentine cookies to make so I can send them to school tomorrow as a surprised.

Sandy-- you can be as old as you want to be. Are you at the library again?

Twinkie-- sorry for your yucky week. Hope someone comes along to entertain you since you do such a good job of entertaining us.

yep, at B&N he found 2 puzzles, one is a globe of the world - a round globe of 550 pieces! It comes with a stand too -
the other is a small wooden 3-D angel fish (the wooden puzzle we had years ago was a dinosaur, this angel fish is cute!!)

On a more serious note, can you switch to a hotel that has electricity, hot water, and doors that work? Just a thought.

I"m not feeling myself gang, this mooer is down in the valley due to lack of sleep. 3hours and 30 minutes of no sleep last night . Luckily for me I'm seeing the Dr. tomorrow. Unfortunately for her, she'll have to listen to me ramble and self diagnosis myself.

I lock down my Facebook account too. Its nice to have yourself out there, but its more important to protect yourself as well. The article Sandy is spot on .
