Good Morning Ladies and Germs.

It's been busy here in the real midwest, but I thought I would pop in and say "Yo Dawg. 'Sup?"

and now to veer completely off subject....Does anyone else think the Backyardigans theme song sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard? No cartoon should be that annoying.

lil g! I can't believe you called WT a worm! :rotfl2:

regarding the hotel - I believe you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, so I am not throwing a fit.
 :snooty:
I got 10,000 hilton honors points out of in Peej town last time just by being polite when there was a problem.
It's not the poor front desk person's fault the system went down.
She even turned the heat off in the stairwell for me when she saw I was doing laps.

I've never seen the backyardigans. I don't think.
I think what I've seen is in the barnyard.
which is pretty funny.

I forgot to answer peej about my laptop.
it's super hot!
I can only stand to have it on my lap for about 30 minutes before it burns me up.
the cooling tray works some, but not a lot.

Welcome to the Cel forum! All Cel, All the time!

eek and ack!
I messed up my bank account.
I'm down to 22.50
oops.
:guilty:
Thank goodness I have food for the week and I get paid midnight on thursday.

Celery -- your funny! Cel's forum :lmao:

So when is the next date? When do you come home? How is the weather? Where is Riley? Did you have that drink last night? Is that laptop thing made of plastic? Are you are work right now?

What kind of forum is this anyway....should I be asking different questions.

Yay! Someone to talk to!
Not sure on the next date. We sent texts back and forth on Sunday, but I haven't heard from him again. He's probably sick in bed. I'm starting to feel wuckety myself, which sucks if he got me sick cuz we didn't even kiss!
It's very hard not to text him, but I texted last on Sunday, so it's his move.
He probably got scared cuz my mom is stalking him.
:lmao:
She googled his name!
No, I didn't tell him that. I didn't even know it until Sunday. :sad2:

I come home Friday afternoon.

It's raining and pretty yucky, but there's no snow, so I'm happy!

Riley is with CelMama.

I did have a drink, but I did not overdo it. I even did more homework before I went to bed.

The laptop thing is a plastic tray with two fans in it.

Yes, I'm at work, but it's hard for me to concentrate since I'm bitter over Ben getting the promotion I wanted. But I'm trying hard to be a good girl and work like I should.

Thanks Moo.

If I were anywhere close by or if they were even available( which they are NOT), I would go for eiither McD's Hashbrowns or a Croissant with a cheese omelet right now.
DANG!

sorry about the vagueness of DVC - and phones - I havent read the DVC board this am to see if more rooms became available -

I like to dream of being a dVC owner!

(pass the hashbrowns please!)

GOOG Morning back at ya

I've missed Backyardigans - I get annoyed at Sponge Bob - mainly because he's on too much!

lil g! I can't believe you called WT a worm! :rotfl2:

Cel - we stayed at a Hilton property (Hampton inn) for 5 days - they were so nice, kind, accomadating - they have a hot breakfast - and one of the desk clerks heard me say "and I just want a bottle of water!" (desperate times when DS was in the hospital) well from then on every morning they packed dh and i a bag of breakfast snacks + a bottle of WATER!! complimentary! It was the little things -

then we had to go to Marriott for 4 days for the wedding - I HATED their "corporate policy" now, the people we dealt with were nice - (they have free food for dinner m-th - the one guy gave us a pitcher of beer - FREE!

So I wrote an email - and got a standard - you should hear from us in 3-5 days - nada nothing

then 2 days after our stay - a survey came to me! HAHA I let 'em have it - from specifics (why in a 2 bedroom business wing were there no internet access in the bedrooms, the living room access couldnt reach ANY TABLE! no trash cans in the kitchen, directions for getting more glassware - never followed thru etc etc Plus a few BIG issues (over charging us by $20 per room per night - $200+)

No answer!

*duh

stay away from Marriott - tell them because I said so!!
:rotfl2:

Sandy - I haven't stayed at Marriots much.
I like the marriot residence inn in Billings, montana - but that's about it!
Hilton properties overall are great.
there's a few misses now and then, but I stick with them.
in spite of Paris Hilton. ;)

:rotfl2: Def in spite of Paris!

Here in the REAL MIDWEST the weather is gorgeous and I am super super busy. ;) :snooty: :wizard:

Peej et al-- Color me :faint: over that mother's behavio(u)r. Good gravy!!!

1. You always send extra treats. For the teacher. And the art teacher. And the principal. And the janitor. Or whomever your child so desires.

2. You never want leftovers. Of course the teacher should keep them in case a kid is snackless some other day. Or take them home to her kids as my girls' kindy teacher always did. They loved bringing extras for her two little ones.

3. Who says that their beurking kid needs to deal??????? Even I, the meanest mother in the world, tell my kids to go to school unless they are bleeding, beurking or feverish but for any of those conditions I drop everything and go get them. (Or call the DH to do so because one time I had just started an experiment with I kid you not 12K worth of chemicals/DNA that would be ruined if I didn't finish it... plus he worked closer to the school and could rescue the beurking child quicker).

4. I will admit I don't always consult with the teacher because often my kids have a designated snack time every day so that is when birthday treats happen.

5. One twinkie twin took low fat animal crackers in cute lil' bags today. The other is waiting till after President's day because a) it is someone else's bday today and b) there is no school till next tuesday.

6. What in the heck is everyone celebrating in late May? In the girls classes they have a ton of birthdays in Mid February (plus not many school days). My twins were due in March so I don't know.

Hi Celery- thanks for keeping the thread alive.

Sup, Moovers? I am doing a drive-by post just to say hey. I should really be working, but I am not in the proper frame of mind to get anything done, so I came ovah to check on y'all.

Cel, I see you're being super-productive today too. Atta girl!

and now to veer completely off subject....Does anyone else think the Backyardigans theme song sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard? No cartoon should be that annoying.

Heck yeah! That theme song is on a par with the Teletubbies' nonsensical yammering. Bleh. As a general practice, any theme song or character voice which threatens to shatter my fine crystal gets nixed from the TV playlist in our house. Thankfully, Boris and Natasha are past the age of interest for that show.

I am counting the minutes until I can skedaddle outta here. Quick...somebody entertain me!

Celery: I'm sorry you didnt get that promotion. That stinks. Will you be able to do watch nip/tuck tonight? (that's the most important thing after all)

Sandy:
1.gif
(belated):flower3: Did you have a nice day?

Twinkie: I do not know what people are celebrating in late May. All I know is I had a baby in winter, one in summer, one in spring, and one in the fall. :rolleyes1 (there's always something to celebrate here at Sunnybrook?)

Lynette: GMTA! My kids are too big for the show too. But occasionally they forget to turn off the t.v. and it comes on and my ear drums feel like they are going to burst. ACK

Nab: Hi. Do you watch Hell's Kitchen? Or is that Marita? or both? Have you been watching the new season?

Does anyone want a pure bred 11 month old Beagle? It's a long story, but it belonged to our pastor's granddaughters, but he ended up with it. Whelp, his wife fell and had to be hospitalized and have major surgery. They asked if we wanted the dog. We really do not need another dog. But the dh felt bad, b/c of all the extinuating circumstances that are too numerous to list, and ya know it is a PASTOR. (do you get extra points for helping out a member of the clergy? lol)

The point is he is now at Sunnybrook. And the kids named him Peyton. I told them not to name him, but of course they did. BUT, a girl at work said she might take him. PLEASE keep your fingers crossed that she does. He is the sweetest puppy and such a cutie, but we are trying to downsize.

Babynurse -- yes I am a reality show junkie. :happytv: I will have to do some juggling this Thursday since Survivor starts. I think Marita watches Hell's Kitchen too.

And we are finally getting Nip/Tuck here. We used to have it when it was the first season then it wasn't to be found again. Now I saw that it is premiering on Wednesday nights at 10:00 started this week. Don't know if it will start in any particular place or it will start from the beginning.:confused3

No more Treehouse TV for us anymore either. Now it is The Life of Zack and Cody, Hannah Montana, and some wizard show. Nicholas favourite show right now is Knight Rider.

Speaking of Nicholas I have started to listen to the words of the songs he likes. I was floored. His favourite song right now is something something like the Discovery Channel.

Celery-- sorry you didn't get the promotion. I didn't know that Ben got it instead.

babycow - is it an indoor or an outdoor beagle? how big is it going to be?
I'm not sure if I'll get to watch nip/tuck or not. the tv schedule here is really weird.
they have tnt listed as 36 - so I put it on there and it was the westminster dog show.
also a good thing, but I was trying to find the closer.
eventually I found the closer at 9:45, but I didn't want to watch the last 15 minutes!
:sad2:
Maybe I can find f/x tonight BEFORE the show comes on.
but I get distracted when I flip!

nab - that song is super old! like at least ten years, I think.
"You and me ain't nothing but mammals so let's do it like they do on the discovery channel!"
very funny song, but not appropriate for nicholas!
how did he even hear it?
or is there a newfangled version out?
peej? twinks? babycow?
do y'all know?

speaking of newfangled -
have y'all been reading about chris brown and rihanna?
:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

we need a lil g assesment there.
or did he do one and I missed it?

big l - if by "super productive" you mean "Not working at all" then yes! :thumbsup2
I did get some homework done, but that's not what they pay me for.

I did get another call from the headhunter, so we'll see -

mamacel - if you read this, don't get your hopes up! and don't ask me about it! and don't tell daddy cuz then he'll ask me about it!
i'll tell you if it pans out.

does anyone else hate telling their family news cuz then everytime you talk to them they remind you that you're a loser? inadvertently, of course. I know they mean well.

love you, mamacel!

sandy - did I miss your birhtday?

:cool1: :dance3: I took advantage of the 60deg F weather - and the 30 mph wind! got in 1 1/2 miles (my pedometer said 2.5 miles, but I was only gone 30 min - and I am NOT fast! :rotfl2: )

Reality Shows :cool1: :yay:
Hell's Kitchen (I keep forgetting when its on)
Amazing Race (spoiled for final 5 :rolleyes1 )

Little People Big World

and some days are really boring tv wise!! :rotfl:

Rianna :scared1: truly - I hear she's out of the hospital and on her way back to Barbados with her family - she turns 21 next week -many things were cancelled... really sad!

Cel Goog luck with the headhunter - bummer on the job pass! WTH were they thinkin!? :confused3
and I think I have the family loser category well covered... unfortunately. sad that.

BBN love to take the puppy! :lovestruc I hear beagles are really hard to raise tho - so yep, extra brownie points for ya!! (and I think a beagle is part of the downsizing pkg!)

Nab google is your friend when it comes to song lyrics!! :wizard:

princess: yep, a milestone birthday it was... :rolleyes1 dont tell anyone but I sure hate the number!! Kids came over, I cooked a big turkey dinner, ds/dil made the cake.... then the water dept shut off our water for 5 hours! (a main break down the street)

but the big present was - A TRIP to DISNEY!! I have to run 12.1 miles!! but we get to stay 9 days and thanks to a great :wizard: dusting DVC Beach Club!!

Celery -- he told me they play it at the Church dances. I think I need to start volunteering at some dances. He also was hooked on Ride a Cowboy for awhile too. I not sure if they listen to the words to the songs as much as dance and catch the verses. :confused3

Sandy -- Happy Belated Birthday! I remember you mentioned it in Chat then I forgot. Feb 8th right. :flower3: :cake: :drinking1 party: :rockband:

:rotfl2: Def in spite of Paris!

Thanks for the post Sandy. I'm thinking they probably have more staffing on weekend because people call when they off, but I don't know that for sure.

I bet there were a lot of people sweating it on Monday. :scared:

In other news, My FB for Dummies book finally arrived today! :cool1:
