Steph - I'm sure Sandy won't mind me answering for her. That is the clippie for the Half Marathon in 2010. Don't know if she has actually signed up (aka paid the money) yet, but I know she is planning on doing the Half.

Steph-- the Donald thing in her siggy is a marathon at Disney. Sandy and her husband both run I believe. Allie too.

Yes, her DH has already signed up for the Goofy, which means he will run the Half on Saturday and then turn around and run the Full on Sunday. That is 39.3 miles TOTAL folks. I think he's ! Tim you know I say that with all the love in the world.

Marita - If you are looking for notes, go to your profile page. You will see a box over to the right that says Applications in black letters. Underneath that is Notes. If you click on that it will show you all of your friends notes. Now at the top of the NOTES page it will say my notes, and notes about me. If someone has tagged you in a note, it will be under the notes about me. Now all that is, is that someone wanted to make sure you read their note. It is the equivalent to being forwarded an email. My notes would be a note that you wrote.

Goog evening, MOOvers!

I've been scarce this weekend because I've been trying to get a few chores done around my house and vowed I wouldn't post until I was done. Whew.

We're watching the SuperBowl, mainly for the commercials and half time. There've been some cute commercials. I always love the Clydesdale ones.

Cel - Great verse you shared. LOLing about Riley's antics.

Pumba - Hope Megara is okay

Nabbie - So sorry you're dealing with the flu. Feel better soon! If our weather comes your way, you're in for a nice warm up!!!

Marita - I hear you re: your son. My daughter is moving to a different house this weekend so she can live on her own. Too many issues at the house where she has been living. The owner's mom was there visiting for seven weeks and she didn't feel free to use the house while she was there. Plus, Cash was having some behavior issues due to the other dogs in the house and escaping from the fence. So I hope this new place works out better. But DD was exhausted from moving all her stuff when we called to check in this afternoon.

Wendy - I wish you well with your mom coming to live with you. When my mom was sick, she was more comfortable in her own place, so I just visited frequently.

DH, who rarely drinks, stocked the fridge with about 12 bottles of beer. So far he hasnt even finshed ONE. I asked him to please put the bottle in the recycle bin (he is bad about that) He said he cant lift the bin. HUH? with one or 2 extra beer bottles? I said I would help. And what am I going to do with all the extra beer bottles for another year? Drink them, maybe

We watched the Puppy Bowl a bit. Saw Matilda win MVP!

Bowl is on now. I am rooting for the Steelers.

Made my usual Super Bowl guacamole, fresh-made tortilla chips. Also made chili, and creamy corn. Was going to make cornbread too, but ran out of steam.

MommyP - We're not really sports fans either, but we really like to see the commercials. And I love seeing the half-time show. My hubby can take that or leave it.

I also thought Jennifer Hudson did a nice job singing the National Anthem.

So I was facing 4 bananas that were very ripe. Nobody would eat them, but perfect for Banana bread. I have never made any from scratch.
So I looked up a simple recipe
Ingredients: sugar. ummm I had about the third of what I need
Flour: about the third of what I need

Wooden spoon: I used to have many, where did they go?
4x8 pan: Yes, I had one of those too, but where is it??????????and
Pinch of salt: Is a teaspoon more than a pinch?

But I did have sufficient vanilla and baking powder.

Well, I combined whatever I had and it's now baking in a square glass dish. I don't know if it will be edible or not....

It brought me to tears (but that's not hard to do) thinking about how proud her mom would have been to see her. Family members who won't get to see her sing again.....SAD!

Yeah, a sneak peak into the oven kind of told me that too

But I'm hanging in, 10 more minutes...

So if it all sucks, I will be throwing out old bananas, old flower (does it get old?), remnants of sugar, some vanilla, some baking powder, some margarine and some salt and and an egg. But I guess I will have used what we have in the house!

ETA: Just got it out of the oven and it wasnt too cooperative being lifted to a grid/grille. So I covered it up and left it.

..i spent the afternoon..out on our land. it's beautiful....all covered
in snow. a big hawk..flew right pass the old apple tree. crazy squirrels
..were "mustering"...right where i was @. the birds..love the corn too!

disney..is my favorite sport, by far~

.....theres another "rude" thread going...., it made me think..of
our encounters. what i find...in disney favor?...rudeness..is actual
rare...occurance...&, i think those showing kindness...create the
best memories. woof!
