BBN sad to say, even tho our weatherman confirmed it was cloudy, that darned groundhog rat saw a shadow so 6 weeks more cold - weatherman said it must've been fixed -

What Alli said - dh and I running the marathon - I"m doing 12.1 miles, dh is doing 12.1 miles +26.2 miles = Goofy -

We were told by the professionals we needed to focus on us- so dh said a trip to Disney, but we'd have to run for it!!

At least I got got all my work laundry done and hung up.

I have to find a laundromat down here by the hospital - I go online for 2 hours at the library - but IF dh is home AND he doesnt have to work on his computer, I can snag it and post!!

Steph - I'm sure Sandy won't mind me answering for her. That is the clippie for the Half Marathon in 2010. Don't know if she has actually signed up (aka paid the money) yet, but I know she is planning on doing the Half.

MommyP - We're not really sports fans either, but we really like to see the commercials. And I love seeing the half-time show. My hubby can take that or leave it.

I also thought Jennifer Hudson did a nice job singing the National Anthem.

Cheryl! I'm a sports fan, dh is not, it was fun to finally sit down and watch the last quarter with DH DS - and a pan full of "agee enchiladas"

Jennifer Hudson did indeed do a marvelous job - AND I couldnt believe she "lip synched" it!! I think she sang, but with the mic off - because she was certainly using her diaphragm - and muscles in her jaw to do a fantabulous job!

Moo-- thanks for the beautiful weather! Thought I lost my change since I didn't go out yesterday. Suppose to be above 0 again today. It did make it tricky walking the kids to school today though. Ice everywhere from over night.

No, she didnt, cant blame it on her for flour and sugar, I was low anyway, we dont use much.

I think my Banana bread is a bust. DH apparently tried some today (very little) and it feels mushy/sticky. Solution: DH, please buy fewer bananas at a time!

Our regional team went out to Fuddruckers (burger place chain) for lunch today to celebrate one of the associates from across the lakes' birthday. He is a BIG Chinese guy (I know, it sounds like an oxymoron), but he is tall and wide. And from China (moved at aged 5). Now I have never been there before (both Fuddruckers and China). I looked up and saw said Chinese guy pick up a 6" roll with 1 lb of burger on it. I was amazed and exclaimed OMG! it was a sight to see.! Never seen anything so big!! He finished it too, plus fries.

He said if his job doesnt pan out, he will enter competitive eating. :roll eyes:

I was in no mood for a burger and got Nachos. About worst I ever had. Not sure if it was the Nachos (mixed regular, red and black) or the cheese (it tasted sort of off), or a combination of it. How can you mess up Nachos with cheese?

So I better go get some dinner now, I'm starving....

I'm alive, I'm alive. I just read back. All the way. For real.

I did, as reported by the bbn, go to Cincinnati. They were still telling people not to go out and there was black ice. So how could I NOT go???

Let's see....there were so many shenanigans this past week with my friends and I. We went to the spa, there was sledding, picture reenactments, laser tag. All this and more. One day we went hiking down in the "holler." Wow it was gorgeous with all the ice and snow. Then one day I let my little sister drive my car and when she tried to go up the icy driveway (really big hill) she went flying backwards and got stuck in the neighbor's yard. We had to get my cousin to come pull my car out of the snow with his truck.

We didn't have school again today. too many of our buildings still didn't have power. We will have school tomorrow though, despite that fact that many of the buildings still don't have power. I just opened an email advising us to be ready to make room for kids from those schools who could be in our gym, art room, hallways, etc. Could be interesting. They also said the district is appealing to the governor so we don't have to make these days up. Keep your fingers crossed on that one!

It was cool and rainy here today. 50's for the next few days, but rain should let up.

I HATE driving in the rain, especially on the Beachline where they have miles of concrete blocks set up on both sides. SHUDDER!!

How does this math work? You had 3 free drinks, I'm guessing?

I just talked to a friend I talk to once in a while, who is a contractor for computer programming. Got summoned for jury duty for state supreme court. So if he gets picked, he gets paid $25/day, and no supplement from work. He said he might be able to claim economic hardship if its a long case, but anything in state court is likely to be long.
