FYI, I did brush and floss and use Listerine. It was just "a day", if you know what I mean.

So here's another time-suck: My mother, who is 65, and in ill health is coming to live with us on Feb. 13th. We're preparing our home to be user-friendly for her. Now, when she came to "help" when my babies where born, I almost became an alcoholic (NOT really). Now, I'm trying to have a positive attitude and find the many blessings involved of the whole thing, but...

So you who pray, pray this will be a blessing for our whole family. She really has never been around my kids, so it that may be a start of something good. Or not.

Is there grass in the backyard? Yet? Maybe she could sit outside and enjoy the view. Of a mud racetrack. With the rest of your neighbors. And their realtors.

me and riley went for a two mile walk yesterday at the park. I never start walking from home because I don't want him to think he's allowed on the road - so I always drive somewhere and then walk.
so I just let him and little man out -
and where do I find him?
on the road.
I made him march his butt in here and get in his crate.
It took several minutes because he doesn't come running in when he knows I'm mad, but he came.
Little man kept going down the road.

If I get this job, I won't be traveling anymore, so I'm thinking of getting a another westie when I get back from Disney World.

the new church I've been going to is having a chili cookoff after the second service, so I'm going to stick around for that and try to talk to some people.
I still haven't finished my paper, but I've been working on it here and there.

Be back in a minute with a bible verse. I gotta see what speaks to me this morning.

Hims not the smartest pup, but he knows when I'm mad.
Now don't get me wrong - he really has no clue what I'm saying half the time - but he knows when he's in trouble.
(I've been telling him I might be home more and he might get a new brother, but I know he has no clue what I'm saying)

Cel.......first off......Megara swallowed the thigh chicken bone about three weeks ago........what if it didnt dissolve.....does it? or does it stay in the belly...

Second of all.....your verse brought tears to my eyes......I know I am a good person and I do believe.....but sometimes I feel like maybe I should of been involved in another type of community religious type......catch my drift....

dogs do know what we are saying and Megara talks to her daddy....... not to me........some times she starts this hysterical barking and she runs to her daddy and he says to her......is it another doggie, and she will bark in another voice and he will say is it a kitty cat and she will bark in another voice and if he hits it on the head she will start the voice in a whining type ......so yah she talks to us....she also will see cars coming and knows exactly which one is her little people (our grandkids) and if it is some of the rug rats.....she whines....she knows busses brings kids and if they go past the house she will whine.......smart I tell ya.....

Sandy, start planning what trip now? To Germany? There is nothing to plan, except pick dates. I will stay with mom and likely go no further away than the butcher, the baker and the grocery store that I can walk to. Glad you are having a GOOD boring day.

DD stopped by this afternoon, after going out to breakfast with DH and her grandfather, and then helped herself to leftover chicken livers stroganoff, which she declared her favorite meal ever. And scolded me for not calling her yesterday to let her know I was making it.
I asked her to tell me about her new BF, but she said she would if it lasts more than a week, and it's only been 4 days. So no news on that end, GRRR!

I'm just reading trip reports and looked around facebook some more. I cant wait for the Dummies book to get here. I really dont see anything like message boards, other than the newsfeed section. I must be missing something

I love your annual birthday party posts. They are always a timely reminder not do something stoopid like invite a jr terrorist or give away a birthday cake. The twinkie twins birthday is in a couple of weeks. They too will be 7. I have no clue what we will do or who we will invite.

Wendy - I will be praying that your situation will be a blessing. You are a wonderful daughter to take her in like that though. I always say my Mom is going to have to go stay with the daughter with the grown children, which is why we keep having them.

I have to call to dispute a charge to my credit card for $90. Not only did I not order it, I never got it! I HATE that! I hate conflict with a passion!

I ordered a free sample in December, only pay $2 shipping. I got that, and I havent even tried it. So I definitely did not reorder,
nor did I get more cream. GRRRR!

traditional programs....are gone, and those nurses are scrambling,
compensating..by "doing", ongoing---on the job training.

me?...i really don't like telling those ob's stories..me & my wife
went thru....way to chilling,....just be the grace of god, we
made it thru them. now, because....i kno...."what type of care"
she should gotten~~~ , c'mom! no excuses..that our
medical system...delievers...such...neglectful/poor care.
how dare , that hospital....put my wife & child .....in risk ,
of death!!! * i read..some of the stories..started by some
who lost..a child.

look @ our society!..lok..at what we are exposing....raising/
of kiddies to? this is what it's all about...the environment, the
dreams..for our children..to find some one to share life with!

ptsd....is what our local hospital...gave to us! * oh, jus a lil note..
when..my wife had an episode....of false labor?...yo kno? the
lil'wash basin..+ kleenex..they tried to charge us? $500!!!

.....& they hassled us. this is what ...i told the hospital..go
ahead!...i can't wait to see the judge reaction....when i show
what..you're charging us! needlesss to say..they decided to
take..it back!

i jus think...every medical center...shouldn't be..about $$$,
but the "welfare"..of our population. sadly, i hear/read..sadly
..."the professional administrators....are "buisnessme"..
and the nurses...that understand..the health care dynamics,
are powerless...& thus we "all"..are @ risks.

my voice here, is sharing feelings..of hoping...we do some
improvments. "what"..is sooooo exciting?........how much ~
the system..can improve.....it's services...is simply getting /
doing the basics. first step, recognizing....them.

..on my note, all i am saying, jus listening..experincing mental
health...the real "reality"...is self evident..& will hold up
any...manipulations....that makes...this true, " the best we
can do..is to "presents" the alternatives....that others can
"improve"..their choices...toward discovering happiness.
* the danger/s..that most of us don't recognized..is "that"
anyone...can act out mental illness. chronic mental health
problems, that i seen....?..they like the .."the high"..they get,
being sick. [ you will not believe..some of the unbelievable...
....life-threatening behaviors..they become capable].
anyone..can become sick? jus like colds?



..a lil' insight..of what we are seeing?.." sober house." riches, fame,
...whatever....living life well, is all about...the things....our parents/
schools/friends..teach us? do you see?..the language..these "stars"
uses..& they thru detox?....we're the ones....that they're "send-ing
to.

oh, the value..of sharing? on a recent cruise...trip, a poster...talked
about ..a disney counslor..were encouraging some of the children..
( i think ages 8-12)...to kiss. .

needless..to say..even on a disney cruise..there could....be dangers.
..fyi, i'm usual...trailing my family..& watching.


note..my wife's scream. when she gave birth. ....there's no words,
to described....every single student..didn't ....walk, ran out of
there. leaving us all alone. she gave it everything she had, &
with god's blessing..it was just enough..to save him.
so when she moody, grumpy..i try to remember....she has the

DS had to dispute a charge on his debit/bank account - he saw 3 charges, all incurred while he was in hospital #1

Lil G one hospital hasnt billed us yet (its only been a week - but they wouldnt take our insurance since DS was over 18 - and dont get me started on how hard it was to get them to reassure us that DS wouldnt leave the hospital BEFORE we got there - a 4 hour drive - "We cannot confirm or deny we have someone by that name"

luckily ds#1 Best Man lives in the town and agreed to drive over there - now why this guy could go see DS#2 in the ER, but they couldnt confirm or deny he was there..

Point 2 Dont get me started Hospital #2 wants us to come up with $5,000 before we can apply for financial assitance. um if I had the darn $5,000 I wouldnt need financial assitance.

Point 3 - Birthing stories are fun. 3 10# + babies,(not at the same time LOL) no epidural - I know there were screams from me! For DS#2 the EMT's wanted to "assist" - they were glad we said no!!

DS called yesterday. He said things are easy in training, but he is afraid to get too lax and then end up failing his tests. Goog for him. You never ever stop worrieng about kids!

My Prayers are with you. My mother and didn't along till about 5 yrs before she died. I would love to have those yrs. back. My mom knew my kids because she would keep them when they were sick so I could work. That's just hope she will not be needy cause you have your plate full. Hugs

Steph-- the Donald thing in her siggy is a marathon at Disney. Sandy and her husband both run I believe. Allie too.

We had a snow storm on Saturday and had to shovel out and today was 2 degrees felt like it was a heat wave Snow melting and sun shining.

I haven't been on because the dreaded flu hit our house for the second time this season. Nicholas started it Wed. went to school on Thursday and was back Thursday , Friday. Hannah and I got it Saturday. Hubby was lucky this time , at least so far he hasn't got it.
