I KNOW! I am FREAKING out. Who the heck do you go to when your "good neighbor" dumps you? I'm hoping that the state regulators will say, "Stay! We'll give you your increase." If not I'm going to my agent and asking her who she is going to insure her house with and that's who I'm going to.

I just hope we can afford this.

Hey, I dont know if they do, but we get car insurance through them, really, it's with Met Life or someone, not Disney, just an affillation.

A participant who pays Disney for stuff(advertising). So I have no idea if Homeowners is an option even.

This is a great opportunity for DH to use his new MAC to research options, hahaha!

Totally unrelated stream of conciousness post: So when my HORSE of a dog got out not once, but TWICE this morning, I thought, whew, at least the kids are in school at this time. Not that horse dog would harm a fly, he's old and feeble and doesnt have a mean bone in his body. But he is big and kids might get scared. Wouldn't you know 2 young boys around 5 and 6 were running around outside and playing with the dog. Clearly, they were old enough to be in Kindergarten. So I worried for 1 1/2 hours, just in case something happened. I cant catch the dog, he is too big, I have to wait till he decides to come home. Yes, I'm a loser, dont say it!

Why has nobody posted ideas for generating $150K in POSITIVE results yet?

How about charging non-Y&BC riff raff (from other on-site resorts) to use Stormalong Bay during slower times of the year? It might entice them to book at Y&BC in the future.

Does the resort get revenue from its restaurants? If so, maybe expand Beaches & Cream into the video area and move that to a different location.

Is Y&BC used much for wedding stuff? Seems like they could market that unused DVC area (don't remember the name) for wedding receptions, etc. to generate revenue. I've read a lot of comments where DVC people complain about it sitting empty most of the time.

How about some Little Mermaid-themed rooms that they could charge a premium for, ala the Pirates-themed rooms at Carribean Beach Resort?

2) Ideas are in the works for a new food court type area, but anything restaurant related is VERY expensive. If anything happes on that, it will be years. Plus it wouldnt be my "creative idea"

3) We have a wedding Gazebo. And the old Ariels space is used a lot for weddings

Thanks for the ideas. I will just list them. I think if they get implemented or not is a different matter, maybe? I think at the end of the day I get evaluated on my day to day job performance anyway.

Another one of my objectives is 40 hours of training. While that was fine in 2003 when we got a major new operating system, it doesnt mean much to me these days. I have almost 37 years here, how much training do I need? I think that objective was added for all the new kids we get all the time and was slapped onto everyone.

So I am a total dork. I freely admit it. Make fun of me B, I can take it.

With more people posting on facebook and me feeling totally lost there, I did it! I ordered a Face Book for Dummies book. Yes I did!

Years ago, like in 1996, I read "Foxpro for Dummies". That was when I was working at Epcot, and you couldn't download all the date into Excel or Lotus. So I had to learn a database program. And it was fun. As in a funny book to read, as well as educational. So I am spending $12.48 on a used bur like new dummies book. Part of me feel like EWWWWWWWWWWW!!
But then again, I save $10 and dont have to drive anywhere. And I am not desperate enough to rush out to have it this weekend. Unlike when my laptop died. Facebook is not essential. Laptops are!

Florida has nothing for us in the way of work. Who knows if we can make it as many years as it's going to take for things to get better. If they do..

We would move anywhere else that Chad could get a stinking job.

They just cut everyone's pay by 10%. So now he's making $12.60 an hour, IF they give him 40 hours.
