Hello everyone. It's been a crazy few days here. Day before yesterday, DH fell at work and hurt his ankle. An all-day trip to the hospital yesterday gained him a new set of x-rays and a lovely new boot to wear for the next two weeks. Apparently, he tore some ligaments and will be out of work for that length of time.
The good thing is that he is not in much pain. The bad thing is that he's going to be home for two weeks! Help! While I'm at work, he'll be home making a mess in my kitchen and leaving things around all over the house! Eeek!
Yesterday, while driving down Main Street in my town, I had to swerve to avoid a dead coyote in the road! Scary, since it was around 4pm, and the coyote had JUST been hit. I am told that coyotes are looking to mate around this time of year, which might be why he/she was out while it was still daylight. Yikes!
Lastly, we got MORE snow today...enough that my town actually called off school for the first time this school year. So I decided to take the day off and spend time at home. We enjoyed a lovely day together, just the four of us. It switched from snow to rain several hours ago, but now all the snow we already had is soaked, so there are lots of warnings about collapsing roofs and flooding. Double yikes!
Sounds like this storm hit lots of us pretty hard. Peej, are the roads clear enough to get out of LooUhVuhl? Poor Cookie! I hope he's okay in your class until Monday!
BBN, sorry about your intermittent power. Hope it stays on now! BTW, did you watch last night's episode of Nip/Tuck?
The last few minutes were horrific!
Cel and Twink, did you watch too?
Marita, sorry about the work trauma. And belated woohoo on your 8,000th post!
