For those of you who take your Catholic faith seriously. Of course, this should come as absolutely NO surprise.

BDG
Someones actually finally speaking against him? You mean he's not the messiah incarnate?
No it is not a surprise seeing as how he voted FOR partial birth and late term abortion and even the right for a doctor to kill an aborted baby if it miraculously survived a botched abortion during his time as an Illinois state senator.
Our forefathers are rolling over in their graves, I'm sure. Does it make me a pessimist to say I think this is only the tip of the iceberg? Or a realist?
:crazy2: If that isn't murder I just don't know what is. :sad2:
Bbn, are you playing hookie from work? I bet they kicked you out d/t your racy capt. jack scrubs.

WT...I have a few avatar suggestions for you.

:lmao:

When you say that out loud it sounds like a chicken noise.

Twinkie - My brother has a camera, he even took some pictures of some diapers for me last week, but he has yet to send them to me.

The room is all done! It looks wonderful! I haven't actually moved any of my excess clutter down there yet, but one day I'll get around to it.

I miraculously got a hold of my medicaid worker today 20 minutes before my deadline was up. I mailed her my 4 new check stubs on Saturday. She said,"I'll give you until Feb. 2nd to get me your check stubs." So HOPEFULLY nothing happens to them in the mail and she actually OPENS them and applies it to my application. If so I should be set, I am hoping we will qualify for a little bit of food stamps too. Chad hasn't made a full check in months. Every week they always stick him on a trim out which only pays about $70 for 9 hours of work, and that's keeping us from getting 40 hours. :headache:

wow, this has to be one of the lowest post counts ever!

Cel, sorry about being stood up again, and good luck for the job. Hang in there! pixiedust:

MP, goog luck on the medicaid stuff!

Nabbie, hope the weather improves for you!

I am stressing about work stuff. They threw more kinks into things, and I already have more kinks than anyone at my property. And the boss wants Asst #2 do it all. Not gonna happen, I'll tell you right now. But its stressing me out. :scared:

Well, for now, I need to eat some dinner.

Everyone :wave2:

Would someone please shut the deep freeze already!! BRRRRR! It was a whole whopping 20 degrees today.

HEY HEY HEY!!

what a day!!

Thanks so much for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers!! The wedding was gorgeous, the drama was alive and well, but I was able to remain grounded, and helped the Bride also!! (God moment - 9:30am Bride's godmother, who raised her... etc, was taken to the ER with a heart attack (according to EMT, I grabbed her, she was sobbing so hard, and my friend and we held hands and hearts and prayed - mostly to have God shine His light and give us His peace, and to show us HIS way - at noon we got a call that she was released from the hospital, and would rest, and be at the reception!! Miracle! there were a couple more...

Also my ds did wonderful... so hard... he will do some out patient work this week... its just so hard... (and I bought a lottery ticket - anyone have $10,000 to help pay for this??? Honestly, that's with insurance! a co pay and a deductable have to be met!)

have to find my camera cord before I can post pics!! I'm just trying to figure things out... and I have no control, God is in Control!!

Ali hey girlfriend, do the Half marathon in Disney 2010!!

(is it wrong to have that goal with the hospital bill mounting? It will force me to take time for me, to train by doing 30 or 60 min workouts... I want to focus on an "ending" at my happy place...)

Good evening everyone! Nothing good to report here..just thought I'd say hey!

I see y'all talked politics while I was elsewhere. I have this to add:

1. No it is not a surprise seeing as how he voted FOR partial birth and late term abortion and even the right for a doctor to kill an aborted baby if it miraculously survived a botched abortion during his time as an Illinois state senator.

2. Our forefathers are rolling over in their graves, I'm sure. Does it make me a pessimist to say I think this is only the tip of the iceberg? Or a realist?

1. That's for sure, E! Hope and change, huh? For whom? And at what cost?

2. Hmmmm.....:scratchin....I say realist. But maybe I'm just skewed by listening to conservative talk radio?

1. Someones actually finally speaking against him? You mean he's not the messiah incarnate?

2. :crazy2: If that isn't murder I just don't know what is. :sad2:

:lmao:

3. When you say that out loud it sounds like a chicken noise.

1. MommyP, watch out! I'm pretty sure you're running the risk of being struck by lightning with that "hate speech"! Obama IS the change we seek, you know.

2. ITA! How else would one describe it? The whole scenario is horrifying!

3. :rotfl2:

Hello to Peej, Moo, Marita, Twink, BDG, Allie, Cel, NAB, Sandy and everybody! :wave2:

/
Hey Sandy! Welcome back! Glad they had a beautiful day! Thought about y'all all day long. I'm sure you were beautiful. You are going to be an awesome MIL to her, and you showed her that day. :grouphug:

Trying to figure out how to do 2010. :scratchin Can I sleep in the floor of your 2 bedroom? :rotfl:

I'm thinking I'm crazy for thinking of trying to do a Half at the end of April. :confused3 Just so many WISHers I would love to see. Lots of my Buzzie teammates. :grouphug: I'm just crazy! :p

You need to take time for you. Because if you aren't well, no one will be. The bills will be there, and you can take care of them when you can. You need to do something for YOU now. :grouphug:

I am plum tuckered out......I had my neice today and will for up to six weeks. Her babysitter is my niece and she is having a baby.....this is really my great niece......she is so darn cute......I am pooped but I loved it...

Sandy remember that if you make an offer to pay so much per week or per month that the hospital and rehab place will be happy with that......dont give that you cant sit back and enjoy your life too......Take care of yourself too.

SO I am going to bed.....see my eyes are slits

Sandy, I'm so happy to hear that the wedding went well and your DS is doing better and Mother(whatever) was able to attend the reception. w00t!

Sorry, no extry $10K around here. Good luck on the lottery.

And yes, definitely go for the race!

Hope all (or most) of your stress is over! :cheer2:

Yikes, Sandy! Thanks goodness everything turned out well! As for the hospital bills for your son, I think Pumba's right....make an agreement to pay what you can afford, and let 'em wait.

I don't really have much (or anything for that matter) to contribute but just thought I'd pop in and say hi...much like Lynette. Because she's my role model. Or something like that.

Sandy...glad the wedding was a success despite the drama.

Marita...I think you need a depP breath. Sorry about the work drama.

Cel...I will send a harumph in the general direction of the date stander upper dude. How rude!! :snooty:

They're calling for snow here tonight!

Yeah, Cel! I ditto Peej's harumph of stander-upper guy! How rude!

Evening, all :wave2:

Cel - Sorry about your no show. That was pretty rude!

Good luck on the new position.

SANDY!!! Thank goodness the wedding went well and the bride's godmother was OK  Prayers for your son as he continues to mend. I'm also looking forward to seeing some pics.

I agree with Pumba's suggestion about setting up a payment plan.

Steph - We're still having cold weather here too. And more dang snow

Allie - Is it the Disney 1/2 marathon you're thinking about in 2010? Is that the one they do in January?

Allie - Is it the Disney 1/2 marathon you're thinking about in 2010? Is that the one they do in January?

Yes, I would love to do the 1/2 in 2010 with my friend Sandy and all my other WISH buddies! :grouphug:

I got to go last year for the "girls only" trip in honor of my 40th. I'm trying to figure out how I could do a "solo" trip and get DH to say ok. Still thinkin'....:scratchin

Moo, we're in for more snow too! :faint: The forecast calls for 6-10 inches in my area starting Wednesday morning (in time for the morning commute...oh joy!). I want to be a snowbird!

Come on down, one and all!

It's in the 70's again (for now).

DH said today that he Maintenance guys got offered 4-9's or 4-8's. But if they choose 4-8's, they lose benefits. So who would chose that?

Things are getting scary. I know the early retirement offers are going to be coming, I can read the wrtiting on the wall. Here is the rub: Both DH and I are nearish retirement. But we both got good evaluations. SO if they dont get enough takers, will they lay us off because of seniority status (i.e., probabably making more money)? It's scary. I went through this in 2001.

Maybe I posted this before, sorry if I did.

On the good side, DS called today, he had a good first day of classes in Alabama. He is assigned acadamian again on account of his education degree. He has to give 3 briefings tomorow. And he took a pretest, where he in the end needs to get a 75, and he got a 55, before taking a single class. So that's pretty good. SOme only got 10%.

We talked briefly about this whole economic mess. He said he would do whatever to keep his job. I think his is about as safe as it comes right now.

Winter is a great time to go to WDW. Even if it's cold in Florida, I would think that it's better for running and nothing compared to most other places! Hope you can work out a trip with your WISH friends :)

Oy! I wish we could just make it stop.

I wanna be a snowbird too (stomping my foot)!!!!!!!

OK people, WTH?

How scary is this?
http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/Woodfield-Mall-Locked-Down-After-Report-of-Man-With-Gun.html

After I talked to the psych counselor, I had until 3pm to pick up ds, so I was 15 min from Woodfield Mall, and thought i'd hang there - but at the last minute I decided to turn LEFT and go to IKEA! :faint:

I cant imagine being IN that Mall, OMG - and I remember sitting in my car talking to ds gf seeing helicopters and wondering why newscopters were flying overhead...

Last edited by Minnie_Moo : Today at 09:30 PM. Reason: Marita - That is kind of scary. Especially with your boss pushing for Asst. #2 to learn forecasting.

Moo, I really think he just wants to prepare her for a promotion eventually, not to replace me. I think that decision would be made at a higher level.

Sandy, YIKES, that's scrary!
