Marita-- Your son got two speeding tickets since he has been home? Can't say I don't speed but because I just haven't been caught yet.

No Nab, not since he got home, since he went to Texas in August. Plus he didnt actually get tickets, he got off scott free!

And yes, that cake is really goog!

or should I say I delegated the last minute forgotten items like crackers, creamed corn (for Melinda's casserole that I've had to do 3 years in a row

Wendy, Would you mind forwarding that recipe again? I lost everything when my old computer gave up the ghost. And Melind is MIA Lots lately.

Plus I have class tonight. I really wish I could ditch.

Class on the day before Thanksgiving???? That is just unthinkable! That should be against the law!

Oh, here is something unthinkable too. The paper said local low tonight is going to be 42. DH's boss said he read that it's going to be 35 at Disney. So DH has to go in for frost control at midnight. Plus go to work on Friday (he gets up at 2 am). So he is going to one tired guy! No overtime either....

I really can't imagine it getting that cold, but I guess he has to do what the boss says. He is in bed right now to get up at 12 AM

Have a blessed holiday!

I'm not quite undead. ;) Just dead on my feet tired from work and holiday prep.

I made Knorr veggie dip, it's so good!, Except I have not water chestnuts on hand. Plus I need proper bread chunks to eat it with, or bagel chips.

My internet is insanely slow, it doesnt show what I type for 30 seconds. What the heck? Never had that issue before

Anyway, happy Thanksgivng to all!

w00t! I'm officially doing the single digit dance today :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: And so is Nabbie! I think Twink is way too busy to join in

It's so nice to see EVERYone before Turkey Day tomorrow!!! I think it will probably be slow around here too.

I don't have to cook tomorrow, I just need to bring a veggie tray (pre-cut, just have to arrange it in my veggie tray), dip, and rolls, so I'm not stressing at all tonight. Just recuperating from a very hectic day at work.

Marita - YAY for having your son home and for beating the tickets. That cake sounds delish :)

Mony - I feel your pain. Hope your class wasn't too onerous tonight :headache: Happy Birthing Day!

Wendy - Hope your fake punkin' pie tastes OK. I'm trying the low carb thing this week and my body is not liking it all that well. I think it's in shock from all that protein :scared: I ordered a new scale on-line - hopefully one that will lock in. The scale we have now can fluctuate up to 5 pounds. Once the new one arrives, I'll probably be Peepin again :rolleyes1

Moo, YAY for low stress holiday and new scales,

That cake us really goo, not good for Peeps though.
OMG, My Internet is driving me nuts!

IGNORE THIS POST, IT'S A TEST

testing, testing
Hmm, Mozilla seems to work just fine
Guess IE has issues tonight

Good evening, Moovers! Just popped in to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I have cut, chopped, peeled, sliced, chilled, roasted, toasted, and pre-baked everything I possibly could. I feel pretty well prepared for tomorrow....whew!

Moo, I'm going to pretend I didn't see your post about a scale on Thanksgiving Eve! Ack! Have mercy, woman! :rotfl:

Marita, glad your son is home for the holiday!

I hope that each of you has a lovely, peaceful holiday with your families! I have to crash immediately so that I can be up bright and early tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! :grouphug:

good morning.....and HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL.........it is also the day of our sons birth......he was born on Turkey day 39 years ago......every so often we get to celebrate the bird with the birth........I remember after he was born I wanted that pumpkin pie and I was giving it and looked at it and said BLAHHHH....Not really hungry after 16 hours of labor........We are so fortunate that our son and our daughter are such good kids.......I know at 39 and almost 37...they arent considered kids......but they will always be my babies......We love them so ....

This morning I woke up at 4:30 thinking how many hours for the bird to be cooked and brought to our son and dil's home for turkey dinner....someone else is bringing another bird.....as there are 25 going to this feast.....This is my first year of not having the family here........miss my MIL and MOM so much...but this will be good to celebrate with the next two generations to follow in the footsteps of family.....turkey was in the oven on time stuffed to the gills......or to the wings......

So my friends ......have a great day and remember how wonderful it is to have friends and family ...or one or the other......always

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!

We're headed to my mom's today for Thanksgiving. I'm really going to see my grandmother. I don't think she's got many holidays left in her.

Everyone have a safe and happy holiday!

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever."

Just popped in to say Happy Thanksgiving Moovers!!:yay:

HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!!!!!!

I will be thinking of all you today eating turkey and being with your families.

Angel -- nice to see you again , where have you been hiding.

Pumba-- Happy birthing day to you and Happy birthday to your son.

Mony-- forgot yesterday to say Happy Birthday to your oldest.

I was just now making said Corn Casserole, Melinda!!!

Still in my pajamas with my iPod up loud. A far cry from the pearls, aprons, and darling-coordinated-outfits of all the Martha Stewarts of the world, but I set a festive table, I tell you what. :thumbsup2

Next up is the caramel corn that I can't touch or I'll pay for it with treadmill miles. :rolleyes1

Happy Thanksgiving, Movers!!!!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!!!!!

Wendy, I have no doubt you set a table fit for Martha herself.

Melinda, thanks for the recipe!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Whew!

I have just sat down for the first time since 6am.

I made a New York Deli Cheesecake (fist time)

Pecan Pie (first time)

Stuffing

Turkey is stuffed and sewed and in the fridge.

Ham is in the oven first

potatoes are cut and in the pot.

green bean casserale is prepped

Pierogies are boiled and in their pans for sauteing later

Corn and carrots if I feel like it will be steamed later

Rolls will just need heating and slight browning.

Setting the table??????????????? :scared1:

At least its clean and all junk has been removed.

I announced to my family that there WILL be a walk scheduled this afternoon. Before dinner.:yay:

NaB: ADDICTING? Really? Ya think? Yes, my husband just brought this up to me the other night. It seems like I have been going to bed way to late, lately.:rolleyes1

Marita: I love you avatar.:lovestruc

2 years ago today we were on our way to the hotel by the airport for our disney trip. This year I have 13 days to go!!!!!

Sounds like everyone's having a nice day :)

We are heading off to my SIS's sister and BIL's house shortly. It felt a little weird not to be cooking anything today. Plus the roofers decided to work today and came over and are finally tearing the shingles off our roof (hail damage from this past sumer). It's been pretty noisy. Jasper and Sukie have been worked up about it all day.

Lynette - Sorry to bring up the scale so close to the biggest eating day of the year :rotfl2:

Moo, love the pic. Hope you have a great day! I am enjoying not having to cook today. We are leaving in about an hour for my nephews house.
Poor DH got home from work about 11 am and just took a one hour nap, back up to go to work at 2am tonight. DD called our phone at 1pm to tell me to wake her dad up. I said "where are you?" I thought she was in her room. She said "in my room"............. which is about 10 or 15 feet away:rolleyes:

I am really enjoying having DS home :lovestruc
