Mony and Moo...looks like a wonderful meet!! I couldn't believe all that SNOW! Today was our first real cold day here. I mean, there were cool days, but today at recess, I was freezing!!! There were a few flurries in the air as well which got the kids all excited. Glad you 2 had a nice afternoon, and thanks for sharing the pictures.

I got serviced today by the Schwans man......I have not been serviced for over two years......and he shows up today.......I didnt really want anything ....but I did get the 24 pack of ice cream cups....just plain vanilla...You can not buy dixie cups with plain vanilla ice cream.....i want to make a belly ache sodas and I need vanilla for it......

So I was just changing my sheets (in case anyone was wondering) and I have a question. L, this is pointed in your general direction. Is there really any good way to put a duvet cover on a comforter? My psycho cat was hissing at me the whole time. I think he thought the comforter was coming to life.

Turn the duvet cover inside out, then grab the edges inside on the far side (like the head end). Grab the edges on the duvet with hands in the cover corners, lift and let the cover slide down. It will be right side out, Easy as pie!

Works for pillow cases too.

Oh, speaking of Martha Stewart tips:

Just saw on the Food Network that they have new bags out that let you steam veggies in the microwave (like ziploc bags). Saving room on stovetop. So if anyone plans on steaming anything for Thanksgiving, check it out!

Ohh, gross!!! So the show on FN tonight is Thanksgiving disasters. They just had a spot with Paula Deen. She was saying how they make stuffing in huge batches of stuffing for the restaurant, and you have to mix it with hands. So she got acrylic nails and then went to mix stuffing and lost one of the nails. She said it took her about 1 1/2 hours to find the nail. Which leads me to believe they served the stuffing later............

1. Perhaps we'll have to make it our official title. Ponder on it.
2. I couldn't agree more. Those illustrations just made me want to jump right in the book and sit around and sing with the family while Pa played the guitar! (for some reason I remember that one in particular)

Hola Moovers! Hope y'all had a great weekend! My DH turned 40 yesterday, and we had a party for him Saturday night. Nice turnout, good times. According to him, it wasn't a 40th birthday party. It was the 10th anniversary of his 30th b-day. Heh.

After doing all the planning, cooking and prep work for the party, I now feel like I'm in full holiday mode. I even played Christmas music in the car on the way to work this morning.

We have a couple radio stations around here that started playing Christmas music the day after Halloween!

Mony and Moo, thanks for the photos! Looks like you girls had fun! But do me a favor and keep that hideous white stuff out of New England, 'kay? I feel safe speaking for Pumba that she and I don't want anything to do with snow!

It WAS fun! I'm looking forward to getting together while in Florida and meeting the rest of the family too.

All that snow yesterday was a bit of a shocker. It stuck around and grew even deeper today I'll try to resist blowing it your way I know how much Pumba hates the stuff. At least it wasn't a foot.

That would be tres cool!!! And I'm sure the hours would be a lot more bearable, although our Schwann's guy arrives fairly late. I stayed at work late tonight and missed being home. Guess I'll need to order my holiday stuff next time.

Cause I was dreaming that my train that I was sleeping on (sleeper train, read bed) was stopping in Mindelheim (little town in Bavaria that my aunt lives in that I went to as a kid). And I had to change trains to go to Hawaii. Now why I was going to Hawaii, I have no clue!

Anyway, I got up up early so I wouldn't miss my train to Hawaii....

Yes, I know there is no such thing as a train to Hawaii ....... It was an early morning fog thing....
