Twink and Mony - Sorry to hear you're having issues getting your ressies. Good luck!!! Since there's no free dining during my week, I decided to only book a few table service meals and play the rest by ear. Some ressies were still tough to get.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to purchase one of those Tables in Wonderland cards though so I can save 20% on the table service meals that I did book. Because I WILL be going back next year since I have bought into DVC at Bay Lake Tower and it finally closed (Sorry, Marita!) Now I just have to wait at least 10 months to use it. I'm going to visit the model and meet my Guide in December.

Peej - How did school go today?

Mony - I think my little sis is going to join me on Sunday. Mari didn't know of any restaurants in the area so I guess we are on our own finding a place to eat. Or we can ask for a suggestion at the shop.

It's a go on my end cheryl, we will be there, baby included.

RO is a busy place with lots of places to eat, I am not worried.



Twinks: Because NW changed our flight twice, I had to cancel a 4:15 dinner ressie at Rain Forest Cafe outside of Animal Kingdom. I even cancelled doing that park and just thought, once we are settled in we'll just head over to Magic Kingdom, to ride one or two Major rides and find our spot to watch the parade and wishes.

We've never done that before and always just walked off an attraction and looked up.

So, I need suggestions where to set up camp for Wishes.

One night I have a ressie at Tonys just before Spectromagic, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed we get a good table for that and hope dessert is during Wishes.


I did snag a 5pm ressie at Rain Forest for the next evening.

I just can't get into 1900 and Mal is gonna be soooooooooo unhappy cause she was told by Anastasia in August that they are BFF's and she has all these pictures to give to her.

Hi, Cel!!! Sorry about the slow Internet, but at least you have access. Even if it is a la bbn I forgot to say last night that the pumpkin spice Graeter's sounded yummy. Schwann's has a pumpkin flavored ice cream that I'm going to order on Monday. I have to say that I love, love, love the milk chocolate chunks in Graeter's ice cream because they are soft and creamy, not hard and chalky some in some ice cream. Not sure if some varieties have dark chocolate.

Also, thanks for the congrats! Hope DVC wasn't a crazy move in this economy. But I'm not sad that it will force me to take regular vacations.

Marita, I'd been waiting a while for BLT and am glad it won't impact your work load. That was a late work night for a Friday! My hubby would LOVE to be able to see shuttle launches from his back yard.

The corner near Casey's is pretty nice for Wishes - you're less likely to get trampled there and can exit through the stores. The train station isn't the greatest spot for Wishes due to the lights staying on, but it's a good place for watching Spectro.

Moo, a couple of months or so ago we went to the Contemp for lunch (before the business lunches got nixed). It's quite a ways from checking in at the main bldg. to the annex. Something to consider, you don't want to haul luggage from there to the annex.

BUT, as BLT owner, you get access to the top floor to see wishes,

OK, I think I am done for tonight, I am cooked, fried, baked and any other kind of done! Tomorrow should be a fun day with the global team understanding things, I can't wait

allrighty.. I'm here cause marita PM's me.. thanks, sweetie! (I have a hard time keeping up with these daily chats, my bad.) which reminds me, once when jeremy was like, 14 (he's 26 now), nebo was trying to sound cool to him, and said "me bad"(instead of MY bad). I thought Jeremy was going to die! (sorry honey).
monica, we always like to watch spectro from somewhere in frontier land.then hightail it to somewhere along main street for wishes. (all you need is a piece of ground to stand on... of course, we don't have little ones.) wishes is choreographed to watch from in front of it. too close to the castle, and you miss a lot of the fireworks behind it. and you have to stand somewhere between the castle and the watch co.. cause from there on till the entrance they leave the lights on, and detracts from the effects.
we have watched it from bothe bridges to tommorrowland. it is a great vies. but, again, you don't get the effect of the fireworks on EITHER side of the castle.
once we got stuck in Fantasy land and they wouldn't let us leave. you had to look one way, towards the castle, then turn around and look the other way to see a lot of the fireworks. felt lke you were watching a ping pong match.

hey peeps! did you know monica sent me a HUGE box of baby clothes for my grandaughter?!!! what a sweetheart!! (and I DO mean HUGE!) what a great friend!!
I had a great night. a couple who are regulars were in for dinner with another couple and their 2 daughters and the one's fiancee, celebrating their new engagement!!!! no fish frys here! all steaks and lots of drinks! $338 bill!
(and they ALWAYS tip nicely!) wahoo!!! (plus I had other tables)
(makes up for those $15 slow nights tee hee!)
now we are just trying to figure out the holidays. of course, no one wants to work thanksgiving, christmas, or christmas eve. since I work every fir, and sat. night, and all day sundays, I never get to see my family much(extended family, like my kids and grandkids and my dad, etc. and of course everyone lives miles away from each other, so it's not like you can just "drop in" for an hour. sigh! sometimes I hate my job. Jeremy gets tired of hearing "yeah, I'd love to see you and Laura and the baby, how does a tuesday night sound?"
nebo doesn't care one way or the other. "honey, how would you feel about spending Christmas by yourself while I'm at work?".... him.. "no problem, I can watch Star Trek episodes with the volume turned WAY up, and smoke all I want without bothering anyone? with a manhattan? and I don't have to "mingle" with relatives? sounds good to me!"

We took the kids mini golfing last night. What a hoot! lol. I will get to work on getting the pictures and video online soon. Sadly though it is going to be crappy because my camera is back at Walmart.

Cool front coming today, tomorrow's high is only 70. Yay! We should be able to turn the AC off most of next week.

Choose a Deluxe Resort or a select Deluxe Villa Resort (Old Key West or Saratoga Springs) and receive the regular Dining Plan for FREE. Available for bookings made on or before 2 December 2008.

This is what I was afraid of with the new stupid quick service dining plan. If this is what they are offering the UK, I bet it's going to be the same for the US. Which totally sucks.

MP- Disney dining SUUUUUUCKS! With 4 kids, I can't imagine having to stay at a non-POP resort to get "free" Quick Service Dining during peak humidity and love bug season.
I'll save even more by staying home and eating raman noodles and generic hotdogs ((just kidding, I don't buy either))

Hi I suck at dieting. I can't do it, I am way to busy to even consider me at the moment.

My kids are driving me insane, my class schedule and homework load are ridiculous. (I have 3 exams again this week)

I have 25 more sleeps til disney and that's totally stressing me out cause I have had no time what so ever to even look at my lame attempt of an itinerary I started a few months ago. I'm lucky to remember to throw a load of wash in the machine, which is usually after my child yells he is out of (insert any type of clothing you can imagine) and if they do get washed they sit in the laundry baskets waiting to be put away.

Oh, but the TV is always on and someone is always watching it. and it's not me.

I'd rather just post here where I am not reminded how bad I suck at dieting.

MommyP - You weren't skimming! I mentioned DVC a couple weeks ago during our chat but not here because I was waiting for it to be official. Of course, BLT doesn't open until next fall, so it's not as if I can use it yet I probably won't be renting out points anytime soon!

In January, Disney will be upping the minimum BLT points you can add on to 100 and is increasing the minimum original number of purchase points to 200 instead of 160. As an incentive, last week they started offering matching developers points that can be used at Saratoga Springs and Disneyland Resort on Interval International. I was pretty ticked to have missed out on that by making my deal soon after BLT became available, so I called my Guide about it and it looks like I will be getting the developers points. I am hoping to add on some more DVC points someday, but it will probably be at a different property now where I can add on in more affordable chunks.

My hubby doesn't like to go to Disney every year, so I'll probably be having my daughter/sister/cousin/friends join me occasionally

As far as free dining goes, I think it's a little too warm for me in Florida that time of year. I think I'll be visiting more during Food & Wine Festival/Halloween -- at least while I'm still working because September is usually a super busy time for me at work.

Mony - I'm going to map out my drive for tomorrow. My sister will be joining me! Looking forward to seeing you and the girls

I have been watching the Food Network for a couple of hours now. Not that I am much of a cook. Rachel Ray is on now. Thanksgiving dinner in 1 hour. Paula Deen had a whole hour on fried foods. Thats not happening at my house! Either the 1 hour meal or the fried version.
Not that I will have Thanksgiving at my house anyway, we are going to my nephew's McMansion.
Which reminds me, DS informed me yesterday that apparently there is a rift between niece and Niece in law. So DS and DD are invited over to the nieces house the same day. Why does there have to be those dang differences????????

Anywho, I will make turkey and ham (well, buy the honey baked spiral cut ham) and trimmings for xmas, so I have the shows on.
Gonna go fix the green bean casserole now that I found the recipe for (1/2 of it) to see how it turns out.

And the whole family better show up at my house for xmas eve or I will cancel it (that would be HEAVEN!)
