MommyP,

Glad you had a fun day without the kids.

Great sunset photo!

Yikes on the flooding, but you got lucky it didn't get in the house. People over around Melbourne here got way too much rain, 25", flooding homes all over the place.

Good riddance to Fay!!!

Hi Marita did you have any flooding or wind damage?

Evening, all . . . I had a girls' afternoon with my daughter. We went to Ann Arbor (where she went to college for undergrad) and had a late lunch at Zingerman's deli (YUM!) and did some shopping. So she is all set with a suit, a cute blouse, and the right make-up for her interview. She kind of struck out on shoes and will probably return the ones she found because they don't look all that great with her suit pants. Hopefully, the ones she ordered from Zappos will arrive on time and will work better.

Wendy - Zingerman's has wonderful garlic potato salad. Hope your par-tay went OK!!!

Pumba - Prayers sent for baby Brielle and your niece tomorrow! :grouphug:

And more prayers for your friend, BH.

MONY! I know it's too late probably for you to see this, but I hope you have an amazing trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Twink and MommyP - Loved seeing your pics! :thumbsup2 Hope the bulk of the rain is gone.

I'll post how the interview went later in the week, Twink! Fingers crossed.

Nabbie - Maybe it will be cooler for you tomorrow. It was here today.

Marita - Yay for finishing your book! I have a bunch at the library to pick up tomorrow. I love it when my favorite authors have new books out. I'm still working on re-reading a favorite series and am halfway trough book 5 of 6.

Off to check on my games . . .

.

Moo, all appendages crossed, prayers and pixie dust for Mari's interview tomorrrow. Hope the shoes make it, but I doubt anyone would really even notice. But it might help the self-confidence.

Talked to my mom today, she isn't sounding all that great. Not bad, but just not happy with her situation. She keeps asking me if have booked a flight yet, and I haven't. She was very disappointed I put it off tlll mid-Octiber, but I told her that at least twice before.
So anyway, I need a good book or 2 to read for the trip, Any and all recommendations are welcome!

I'm kind of glad the Olympics are over, I am ready to get back to a regular routine.

Thanks, Marita! Mari's interview is on Thursday, but she is going to be prepping the next couple days as she has to put together a presentation on a topic they provided and give it to the committee as part of her interview :scared:

So, she is doing some research on it and I will be providing some pointers on putting together the Powerpoint presentation. I'm going to bring home a couple examples presentations tomorrow for her to work from. It's often easier to work from an existing template.

One of my favorite authors lately has been Dorothea Benton Frank. She writes about the South Carolina low country.

Get your trip booked soon! Budgets and forecasting can wait!!!!!!!!!

Family Fun is over! One of my niece's IS pregnant :lovestruc Her baby daddy is in prison at the moment though.

And it was actually sort of FUN thanks to my Misty and her fam-dam-a-lama!

AND, and it's back to school day tomorrow!!!!

Here's a (NON-rick-roll) video that describes my emotions on that topic prezacktly:

Yes, thanks for that. :cutie:

I'm going to start watching Fallyn(Ivy's new baby sister) 2 days a week for half a day. Just enough for some money to stick in my "rainy day" jar and by "rainy day" I of course mean, "look I've saved up half of what it will take for a WDW trip can we save up the rest from your money?" jar. :lmao: Actually I'm positive that I can get a Friday-Sunday trip for just Chad and myself(and Isaac) during the food and wine festival. As long as I can save up the moolah he'll be up for that.

It's been raining all afternoon, but no severe weather or flooding (thankfully). We are just getting some much needed rain. We aren't getting as much as MommyP though.

Prayers being said for Baby Brielle, and generous Godmother. Also saying prayers for Mr. Murry, Bloodhound.

Wendy - I LOVE that commercial! Luckily mine have been in school long enough for the older one to come home with a progress report next week. Although, I have to start back the day after Labor Day, so my fun is about to come to an end as well. :sad1:

I have seen you in the arcade.. You are still Queen of the arcade that is for sure!!

Glad you back!!

Mommy P-- your have a home made swimming pool there. Does all that water attract the mosquitos? I bet the boys want to play in it especially since the swing set is sitting in the middle.

BH-- that is so sad. Hope they find the papers. We have ours in order.
