Twinkie, yay on fittin clothes!

Moo, I took some Trisquits to work today to eat with the soup, but I just wasn't in the mood for them.

Sandy, forgot the V-8 again!

OK, I was just going to email myself or/and someone a reminder about something for tomorrrow, and I totally forgot what it was about!!!!!!!!!!!

Who stole my brain???????????
Didja forget the Gildo Balinka, err Bilbo Galonka, er er. Gunko Bilaboo, oh whatever that stuff is I take to help my uhh, oh yeah, memory?
Twinkie- I feel that way about my Splash Mountain tshirt. Just wearing it takes me back to the World.
Who mentioned Top Cat? That was a great cartoon, they just didn't make many of them. But down here in the South, it was Deputy Dawg! I've managed to find a few on line to watch. And I always loved Tom Terrific with his dog Mighty Manfred, and his mortal enemy, Crabby Appleton, who was rotten to the core.
All this talk of eating at work. Believe me, my problem is NOT eating at work. Pizza and chicken nuggets and tacos and meatloaf and roast beast and bbq pork and.......
Marie, yo get to see the World without the heat fogging up your glasses, yay!
I thought I'd be up late last night and sleep in, instead I crashed at 9 and was up at 5. I work latish(6:30) the next 2, then Friday morning, then a whole weekend off.

Twink?! An undiscovered wardrobe? How can that be? I packed all my summer clothes in a teeny-tiny suitcase in my closet last Sept. when we got back from Disney. But I didn't forget it. Cuz I wouldn't have anything to wear. What did you wear last summer? Maternity clothes?

Yes. ::yes:: Last summer I was wearing maternity clothes. :lovestruc I knew I had a box of summer clothes somewhere and I have been searching for it for months. I thought I had looked everywhere but the DH found it under a pile of boxes of his junk/treasures. I was afraid I had given them away in a fit of pregnancy-brain.

I have to go write the Dreaded Chore List. Ha.

Have a great day everyone! :moped:

Summer clothes packed away in a box?

You guys crack me UP!

We have year round clothes, in our closest.

That we share.

We each have a couple light jackets and a couple long sleeve shirts. THAT'S our winter clothes.

Everything else is summer/365 days a year clothes.

I need to get to the library, I have something in and I don't know what it is.

First I need to finish school.

Twinkie - The job is going. It's nice when he is working in a upper class neighborhood because they HAVE to leave by 6. Otherwise he's not home until 8:30ish. By then the kids are in bed. Sad. They really miss him and he really misses them. I can deal with these hours during the week, Saturday is what's going to be hard.

Talk about feeling wucky about yourself. Nothing makes you feel wuckier than when your sister who also just had a baby is tinier than she was before the baby and still losing.

Monica- We all love the video! How old is Mal now? Goldenchild is quite smitten. My freakin' genius children even recognized the background.

She's 3 years, 9 months, and 29 days going on 13.

Monica!!! Malory is PRECIOUS! She is the best one!

I have to totally agree!

Monica - She is the BEST and the CUTEST!!! :cutie:

All those darlings are just so cute. I love watching the little kids "dance".

:cool2: ...i want one of those hats!..not the goofy, but the one

...mony 's lil'princess: 's wearing...:thumbsup2

mony..it look like they're having their own private....party: & the
audience be darn!

monym., ...you should be proud...it's self evident..she has alot of her mommy
in her!! that's got to be good! :dance3:

I was very surprised at how outgoing she is and no reserves about being on stage and performing. I don't know where she gets that????? I am proud and thanks for pointing that out.

Mony-- so cute and a natural, she must be a great listener to get all the moves right.

did I mention we stayed up late countless nights practicing until her eyes closed and then I had to use toothpicks. I want to be on that Danny Bonaduce show real bad!

[Backstage_Gal;25861910]Mony, Mal was definitely the best and so cute![/QUOTE]

:lovestruc

That was ADORABLE!!!

She really did surprise me.

Malorie clearly had more talent than the other wizards.

Wheat Thins

As long as that was clear.

Mony - That is the cutest thing I've ever seen!!!!!!

Thanks todays the show.

Mony - I agree with EVERYone on how adorable Mal was!!!!!!!!!

What's the latest on Tim? Did Dr. Ugly finally clear him?

Yes at Noon on Monday. So, Friday is the surgery for reals.

BigL, W00t on the pay raise! High fives!

Maybe you should bring CBM some brownies tomorrow to make him feel good and mellow and like he is a great boss? He would feel kinder towards the staff if he feels appreciated.

Don't forget the special ingredients either.

Monica
....Mal is clearly the only kid that learned the dance! Which obviously makes her the smartest and most talented. She is adorable!

[/B]

She has already set the bar. Only freakin' genius kids allowed over here. Right Twinks.

Seriously all those babies are just so stinkin' cute. I get to hang with all of them tonight since I'm a backstage "mom". We have a few cryers, so it will be challenging with those. But I have a plan of attack. Keep one specific mom out of the backstage area and her daughter won't want to keep running over to her.

Have a great one everybody.

Doing a quick fly-by post!! :moped:

Everyone have a GREAT DAY!! Storms are supposed to be coming thru soonish -

Friday Mon - THIS Friday?!

Marita - dont forget the V-8!! ;)

Hound?! You drive all that way to babysit. You're a goog guy.

Thanks Melinda, he is my main little man....its about an hours drive...my BIL cooks awesome on the grill which is my motivation....lol
Today My sister and I will go CVS shopping ...rolling over the soon to expire extra care bucks that spend like cash at CVS...did I tell you I bought my parks camera and 2 memory cards(2GB each) for 15 cents plus 130.00 in CVS bucks that I had earned over the last month :woohoo:

Plus talk about a Dec trip to WDW...still all up in the air if we go?

My sister said that my niece was at the Govs. School of the Arts competeing for a full Scholorship with 15 others in her categorythe next 3 weeks in Lexington ( she won the compitition at WKU last week at Photojournalism Camp and won a 500.00 grant.)

I also have a warehouse full of used furniture, glassware, collectablea, antiques for my Business's here in Louisville and need to restock in my Bowling Green Antique Malls stores Tomorrow and Friday.....DTD look out here I come....lol

Hey, Moovers!

Just a drive-by! I'm at work, but things are s-l-o-w, so I thought I'd take a minute to catch up here. Doesn't look like there's much to catch up on though!

MommyP, I WISH we didn't have to have winter clothes! How I envy you! I always dread the dragging out of the coats, hats, gloves, scarves, boots, etc. that herald the beginning of cold weather. If it never went below 40 degrees overnight, I'd be happy as can be!

Melinda, Boris and Natasha love Tom & Jerry too. I never cared one way or the other for them as a kid. Lately, DD has also been watching the Pound Puppies and Smurfs on Boomerang. Can't say I'm a fan of either of those either.

Gotta run for now, but I'll check y'all later.

Asst #2 sent this out. My SIL (aged 56) died from one a couple of
years ago. She had complained of pain her left shoulder, but was alone when she died. so I don't know if she ever had the symptons below.

Marita

Hi all,
My friend, Joyce Connolly's sister had these exact symptoms when she was having her heart attack. She is alive today because she knew what it was. Please read and commit this to memory! It could save your life. Pass it on...

NURSE'S HEART ATTACK EXPERIENCE

FEMALE HEART ATTACKS

I was aware that female heart attacks are different,
but this is the best description I've ever read.

Women and heart attacks (Myocardial infarction). Did
you know that women rarely have the same dramatic
symptoms that men have when experiencing heart attack ...
you know, the sudden stabbing pain in the chest, the cold
sweat, grabbing the chest & dropping to the floor that we
see in the movies. Here is the story of one woman's
experience with a heart attack.

”I had a heart attack at about 10 :30 PM with NO prior exertion, NO prior emotional trauma that one would suspect might've brought it on.
I was sitting all snugly & warm on a cold evening, with
my purring cat in my lap, reading an interesting story
my friend had sent me, and actually thinking, 'A-A-h,
this is the life, all cozy and warm in my soft, cushy Lazy
Boy with my feet propped up.

A moment later, I felt that awful sensation of indigestion,
when you've been in a hurry and grabbed a bite of sandwich
and washed it down with a dash of water, and that hurried
bite seems to feel like you've swallowed a golf ball going
down the esophagus in slow motion and it is most
uncomfortable. You realize you shouldn't have gulped it
down so fast and needed to chew it more thoroughly and this
time drink a glass of water to hasten its progress down to the
stomach. This was my initial sensation---the only trou ble was
that I hadn't taken a bite of anything since about 5:00 p.m.

After it seemed to subside, the next sensation was like
little squeezing motions that seemed to be racing up my SPINE
(hind-sight, it was probably my aorta spasming), gaining speed
as they continued racing up and under my sternum (breast bone,
where one presses rhythmically when administering CPR).

This fascinating process continued on into my throat and
branched out into both jaws. 'AHA!! NOW I stopped puzzling
about what was happening -- we all have read and/or heard
about pain in the jaws being one of the signals of an MI
happening, haven't we? I said aloud to myself and the cat,
Dear God, I think I'm having a heart attack!

I lowered the footrest dumping the cat from my lap, started
to take a step and fell on the floor instead. I thought to myself,
If this is a heart attack, I shouldn't be walking into the next
room where the phone is or anywhere else ... but, on the other
hand, if I don't, nobody will know that I need help, and if I
wait any longer I may not be able to get up in moment.

I pulled myself up with the arms of the chair, walked slowly
into the next room and dialed the Paramedics ... I told her I
thought I was having a heart attack due to the pressure
building under the sternum and radiating into my jaws. I didn't
feel hysterical or afraid, just stating the facts. She said she
was sending the Paramedics over immediately, asked if the
front door was near to me, and if so, to unbolt the door and
then lie down on the floor where they could see me when they
came in.

I unlocked the door and then laid down on the floor as instructed and lost consciousness, as I don't remember the medics coming
in, their examination, lifting me onto a gurney or getting me
into their ambulance, or hearing the call they made to
St. Jude ER on the way, but I did briefly awaken when
we arrived and saw that the Cardiologist was already
there in his surgical blues and cap, helping the medics
pull my stretcher out of the ambulance. He was bending
over me asking questions (probably something like
'Have you taken any medications?') but I couldn't make
my mind interpret what he was saying, or form an answer,
and nodded off again, not waking up until the Cardiologist
and partner had already threaded the teeny angiogram
balloon up my femoral artery into the aorta and into my
heart where they installed 2 side by side stents to hold
open my right coronary artery.

'I know it sounds like all my thinking and actions a t home
must have taken at least 20-30 minutes before calling the
Paramedics, but actually it took perhaps 4-5 minutes
before the call, and both the fire station and St. Jude
are only minutes away from my home, and my Cardiologist
was already to go to the OR in his scrubs and get going
on restarting my heart (which had stopped somewhere
between my arrival and the procedure) and installing the
stents.

'Why have I written all of this to you with so much
detail? Because I want all of you who are so important
in my life to know what I learned first hand.'

1. Be aware that something very different is happening
in your body not the usual men's symptoms but
inexplicable things happening (until my sternum and
jaws got into the act). It is said that many more
women than men die of their first (and last) MI
because they didn't know they were having one and
commonly mistake it as indigestion, take some Maalox
or other anti-heartburn preparation and go to bed,
hoping they'll feel better in the morning when they
wake up ... which doesn't happen. My female friends,
your symptoms might not be exactly like mine, so I
advise you to call the Paramedics if ANYTHING is
unpleasantly happening that you've not felt before.
It is better to have a 'false alarm' visitation than to
risk your life guessing what it might be!

2. Note that I said 'Call the Paramedics.' And if you can
take an asprin Ladies, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!
Do NOT try to drive yourself to the ER – you are a hazard
to others on the road.
Do NOT have your panicked husband who will be speeding
and looking anxiously at what's happening with you instead
of the road.
Do NOT call your doctor -- he doesn't know where you
live and if it's at night you won't reach him anyway, and
if it's daytime, his assistants (or answering service) will
tell you to call the Paramedics. He doesn't carry the equipment
in his car that you need to be saved! The Paramedics do,
principally OXYGEN that you need ASAP. Your Dr.
will be notified later.

3. Don't assume it couldn't be a heart attack because you have
a normal cholesterol count. Research has discovered that a
cholesterol elevated reading is rarely the cause of an MI
(unless it's unbelievably high and/or accompanied
by high blood pressure). MIs are usually caused
by long-term stress and inflammation in the
body, which dumps all sorts of deadly hormones
into your system to sludge things up in there.
Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep.
Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know,
the better chance we could survive.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this mail
sends it to 10 people, you can be sure that we'll save
at least one life.

**Please be a true friend and send this article to all
your friends (male & female) you care about!**

Goog Evening, my friends!

Thanks for that PSA, Marita  My hubby is planning to Tivo the George Carlin show. He's watching him right now . . .

Well, I took Sukie for her first obedience class tonight and she did great!!! It was inside because it was kind of rainy here today. I'm pooped from the standing and walking. Sukie was the littlest wuppie there. Two of the dogs are German Shepherd mixes and one got a bit aggressive toward one of the other dogs but the trainer took things in hand right away and put him into a submissive position until he chilled out. I will be a bit wary around him with Sukie. The other two dogs were a Lab and I believe an Eskimo mix. I'll have to ask next week.

I'm going to try to practice with her every night, but the trainer said to take the weekend off.

I was going to take a little nap, but DH is watching Oceans Thirteen.

Here is a bonus photo of my daughter with her new haircut!

Mari2.jpg

Moo, she looks lovely in that DO! Ask her what she has to do to keep it up please, I might go for that myself.

Will do, Marita! I think she JUST got it cut. It's not quite as avant garde as Lex's Mimi's cut ;)

I'll also have to find out if she can still put it up while she's milking the goats :lmao:

Mehhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Moo, LOVE your DD's hair! I'm in the market for something new, but I think I want to let my hair grow a bit. I had the inverted bob for about a minute...then I had to chop it after seeing my haircut on every other chick in town! I have a hair appointment Friday afternoon, so I'd better make up my mind with a quickness!

Marita, that info is similar to the info I read several years ago on heart attacks in women. I remember reading a lengthy article in a women's magazine about the various symptoms, and how they differ from the symptoms which are usually depicted in movies and TV. That article sprang to mind 2 months later when my mom explained to me one morning how she had been coughing and coughing until she vomited, and was having some pain in her back. I suggested that I should call an ambulance, and she actually got mad at me and said dismissively, "Oh, for what? This isn't a doctor thing!" I insisted that she go to the hospital, and she was REALLY pissed at me, until the doctor who examined her told her that she was in the middle of having a heart attack! Not a doctor thing indeed! Sooooo many women don't realize how very different the symptoms can be for us!

L, my daughter hasn't tried that look before, so I'll be interested in hearing how she likes it!

It's an interesting change after all her various streaks. I like seeing it its natural shade of brown!

Marie - Hope everything went well today! Please post an update when you're able:hug:

Mony! Friday is coming right up!!! Glad Tim finally got cleared

off to work. too busy to read back, but wanted to say Hi y'all. catch up when i can!

hope you have a great day.:goodvibes

GOOOOD MORNING!

Another day of football camp and a 3:00 birthday party thrown in just to keep things interesting. Gotta wrap that phlat football before I leave this morning.

Mimi got in at 4:30 this morning. Her boyfriend's band played in Evansville, IN last night so with the time change and the drive it was late enough to put a mother on edge.

Moo....Love Mari's hair! Very cute!!! I'll let Mimi you called her avant garde. She'll love that! ;) Also a big YAY for obedient puppies.

Lynette....I let my bob grow out too but I'd like to get it cut short again. Pick something out for us.

MommyP....One wardrobe? That's why I'm moving to FL! I'm counting down...11 years til all the kids are gone...then I'm headed down to my double-wide on the ocean side.

Marita
...Thanks for the info. I didn't know any of that and heart disease runs in my family. BTW....did you see my comment on the WS? If I were Marita, I'd eat at Tangierine Cafe everyday and wash it down with one of those Grand Marnier slushies.....mmmmmmmm. It's my dream lunch break from work.

Hound....I think any kid who makes it to GSA is guaranteed a full scholarship in any public university in KY. Your niece must be very talented. She'll have a great time at Transy. How do you earn those CVS points? That's goog stuff.

Twinkie....What's on the Dreaded Chore List? Sounds menacing. You know I really need to hire me a husband. Not for that! But just to do some chores around the house. I have a honey-do list a mile long and DH never seems to have time.

DTD....I've never heard of those cartoons??

Where's Donnisha? And Wendee?

Everybody else
.....consider yourself waved at. :wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Melinda: check out Newspaper for "Handyman"...no job too small...lol

How many CVS Drug Stores are in your area? its very time comsuming ...get there weekly add and buy only the stuff that gets you 100% money back in extra care bucks...right now its a soybean snack bar that ends up being free.
The trick is to find coupons in the newspaper, and on ebay for items in the weekly and monthly sales add. My sister showed me and learned it from hotcouponworld.com....its really gonna add up the ECB's when you get the online coupons for $3 off $15 coupons plus the news paper coupons for the same items purchased.

[Twinkie....What's on the Dreaded Chore List? Sounds menacing. You know I really need to hire me a husband. Not for that! But just to do some chores around the house. I have a honey-do list a mile long and DH never seems to have time.

The Dreaded Chore List is for children not husbands! My mom named it that one summer when I was a kid and now I am raising the next generation ;) The theory is children, even small, have more appreciation for the free time and relaxation of summer IF they begin every day with a chore list that must be completed before any fun.

I actually divide mine into three chunks: morning, after lunch and before dinner. The teenager does useful things like clean bathrooms, vacuum floors and take out the trash/recycling/compost. The girls keep their room clean, pick up toys, sweep, fold clothes etc. Goldenchild runs errands and pretends to be useful.

It really helps because ferrying children to and fro sports, pool, camps, church activites, play dates etc eats up half my day. The other half is devoted to the laundry that develops from sports, swimming etc. Also with an army crawling baby in the house I need to keep the toys need picked up and the floors vacuumed all the time!

Last day of swim lessons and sports! That gives me 4 days to have a yard sale, clean the house and pack. :faint:

Twinkie - My garage is full of garage sale stuff. It'll have to wait for cooler weather though.

Moo - You DD haircut is super cute! Unfortunately everytime I read your posts at first glance your pups look like their getting jiggy wit it. :faint:
