Morning.

Today is the last recital.

Also prep for surgery day.

We got there yesterday at 5:45, got home at 11pm. That's one long night for a 3 year old.

It was a crazy night with all those young dancers. Just ridiculously crazy in that room. I'm so worried about Mal being there without me. I had several crying kids to deal with on and off all night.

Then there were the ones that weren't in your group that singled you out and chose you to be their go to person.

Then there were the ones who were very spirited and I was just worried they'd get hurt. Then they needed mom's to fix make-up and do hair and help with changes..............

I literally feel into the chair after I got Mal to bed last night.

Tonight we watch the show from seats.

Anyone have a sure fire way to help a baby poop?

wow did you have a fun filled night.... how about some prune juice for the baby?:confused3

MONICA!

The easy internet answer of choice seems to be to give the baby 2 oz of warm water mixed with 2 oz. of Karo syrup or a teaspoon of sugar.

Good luck!

GOOOOD MORNING!

Lynette....I let my bob grow out too but I'd like to get it cut short again. Pick something out for us.

Where's Donnisha? And Wendee?
1. THAT is funnier than you know!
2. I'm HERE! (Making waffles)

Monica- for baby poop help, Apple juice will do it for my kids AND worked for my foster babies. Hope it all comes out OK! wink. DONT do the molasses trick since molasses and honey can be tainted with botchulism(sp) spores.

Congrats. I am beshamed. You didn't have to bring your warplane to stomp out my antismog stance.

Actually, I thought it was one of my better games yet you totally crushed me with your relentess bingo-ing. You must be adroiter than I. ;)

Hi Bloodhood- we are having French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon for dinner tonight. Come on over. 6:30ish.

Scrabelettes,

You all know I love to play, I'm just too darned swamped to play. I promise while hubby is in surgery I will play and catch up.

The hospital has WiFi.

I am just skimming while I was having a quick bite.

Mal lost one of her purple arm bands. We went back to the Preforming Arts Building to look for it and I saw one of the Organizers and she told me that I could come back anytime to help, so I may just do that. We didn't find the armband.:worried:

And she also said, this was one of the best years in Room B.

Mimi got in at 4:30 this morning. Her boyfriend's band played in Evansville, IN last night so with the time change and the drive it was late enough to put a mother on edge.

Moo....Love Mari's hair! Very cute!!! I'll let Mimi you called her avant garde. She'll love that! ;)

Lynette....I let my bob grow out too but I'd like to get it cut short again. Pick something out for us.
Lex, late nights are nerve racking even after they're 21 ;) It's much easier when they're not living at home.

Hee hee, maybe Mimi's hair seems avante garde to me because I'm from a small town :lmao:

New hairdos require photo documentation :)

Moo - You DD haircut is super cute! Unfortunately everytime I read your posts at first glance your pups look like their getting jiggy wit it. :faint:
Thanks for the nice comment on my DD's do!

 Eek on the wuppies comment!!!!!!!! They're just a brother and sister who are used to hanging together. And poor Jasper no longer has the right equipment to be naughty  He does try to dominate Sukie every once in a while, but it's usually a half-hearted attempt.

Still no check in from Marie? Hope all went well

Mony - Did you find the missing part of Mal's outfit? Sending PRAYERS for Tim, you, and your family for tomorrow

No worries on the Scrabble game.

Well, I need to go work with Sukie so she's the BEST behaved dog next Wednesday!!!

Melinda, Ive just powered back up we had a severe strong thunderstorm just come through here and its heading your way....duck and cover....baten down the hatches.

Heya Moo and Hound!

Moo, I still haven't found a new 'do photo to take to my stylist tomorrow. What to do, what to do.....? :confused3

Melinda, any ideas for our next "look"?

Hound, we had some pretty scary storms here on Tuesday night. Buckets of rain, really high winds, and thunder and lightning. They're saying we're in for more of that over the next few days.

Mony, Moo's right....no worries on the Scrabble games. I'll be saying extra prayers for Tim and the whole Mony family tomorrow.

I'm gonna put out an APB on Donnisha. Where is she????

Everyone else, consider yourself greeted!

Hi, sorry I miss my french toast eggs and bacon...maybe next time

I think Donnisha must be still with that boy from work....lol and thats why she is MIA

Hi everyone!

Mony, prayers for your DH tomorrow

It took me over an hour AGAIN today to get home, so I convinced the boss to let me work from home tomorrow :cool1: Mind you, he was very reluctant.
Whenever it rains, traffic gets horrible, and it's been raining early lately (3pm).

DS called tonight, I guess thins are going fairly well. I asked him if it was safe to book a flight, and he said he thinks so.

He got his orders today to go to Randolph AFB (near San Antonio) for his technical training. He gets 5 days off to make it there and he wants Nicole (DD) to go with him to help drive. Then he gets some more days to find off-base housing. Then he will be there for, get THIS! 5 months before his techinal trainin starts as a Navigator. Doing something I think called casual service (answering phones and heaven knows what). He has to wait for the next semester to start.
Oh and here is something I learned today. Apparently it's not just a navigator anymore. From Wikipedia:
Combat Systems Officer is the new term for US Air Force navigators who attend Combat Systems Officer training at either Randolph AFB, TX or Naval Air Station, Pensacola. CSO training merges three training tracks formerly known as the Panel Navigator (NAV) track, the Weapon Systems Officer (WSO) track and the Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) track into one coherent training cycle in order to produce a rated officer who is more versatile. The only separation that currently exists between navigator candidates attending training at Randolph and those who attend at NAS Pensacola lies in the type of aircraft the candidates will later fly. Navigators graduating from Randolph AFB will fly transport, special operations, or B-52 bomber aircraft where navigators from NAS Pensacola fly either the B1-B bomber or the F-15E strike fighter.

In other son news, he said they got the new guys in on Tuesday, and they are all shaking. And he said they were, for some reason, 90% former enlisted men who got selected. He said you could just see their books shaking as they were holding them. I asked if he was shaking too in the beginning, and he said YES, everybody does, it is that intense at first. But once you make it past the first 3 weeks or so, it gets much better.

DD should have had her Vatican visit today, but no word. Not that we expected it.

Moo, good luck with Sukie! Are you taking Jasper next?

Pumba, hope all went well with the surgery!

And where the heck is PJ?????????

And Celery?

I had a dream about PJ last night. She had a brother. And I liked him a lot.
Heee.
I was going to ORlando to visit him because that's where he lived. :confused3

I have weird dreams.

Hi marita! I'm here.
I've been reading, just not commenting much.
Work has been busy plus things are difficult financially for the breadman right now so he and I are both down about that.
(possible layoffs in the future)

The recession we're headed to is very scary.
At least for a gen x or y or whatever the heck we are.
Twinks?
What do we call ourselves?
Former grunge listening, atari playing math chicks?
Although I didn't really like grunge that much.

Funny story from knitfreak today.

Celery, you might appreciated this.

So knitfreak went to this free dating site quite some months back.
So far plenty of frogs, no prince. But she did make a couple of friends there.
Last night she was talking to two of them, both of whom had made advances to other women. She said at one point, she had just written back to both of them "so what did she say?" And then thought what a sad commentary tht was on her love life that she was playing counselor to 2 guys on a dating website.
In the good news category, we gave her tomorrow off (despite being in the midsts (?) of budgets to go to "Convergence" (big conference/trade show), which is apparently a huge deal in knitting/weaving/spinning circles, and which rarely comes to Florida, which is not a big knitting/weaving/ spinning circle hub. Who knew? I never ever knew there was such a thing as "Fiber Festivals"

Funny thing is, when I was first approached about transferring knitfreak to my place, I was freaking out. Shw has a strong personality and I thought we would really clash. But is all worked out great. I just wrote her yesterday how happy I am to have her on out team.

Hi Cel, wow, layoff threats are very scary, been there more than once! It's no fun!

I'm happy too, marita.
You're the one who told me about plenty of fish from her - and that's how I met breadman. :)

Tell her thanks from me.

Yeah, it makes me happy and thankful for my job in spite of the problems.
Not that's I'm not still looking.
:rotfl2:
