Hey everyone!

I had a totally unproductive night! I should have been working till all hours (or at least a few more past 3 pm) I managed maybe 1

DH bought some care package stuff for DS today, and I packed it up tonight, so hopefully it will go out tomorrow. No word from either kid today.

Tomorrow we have leadership team meeting with lunch included, I hope they have something good. (it comes from the convention center) I am tired of Soup at Hand (although it is really good, I only had the Broccolli (yum) and tomoto cream so far. But it doesnt seem quite enough on its own (and I am not a big eater)

I think I might be slightly food deprived, do ya think?

Yes, Moo! But shhhhhh! His little sojourn to Staples (I sent him for black pens. ) meant an hour of blessed peace in the office.

When he returned, he came over to me to ask me to add a task to my (already long) list of responsibilities. Jokingly, I said, "Oh, you're giving me a raise? Perfect!" He went slack-jawed for a sec, and then laughed and rolled his eyes. End of discussion. Or so I thought.....

A few hours later, as I was getting in to my car to leave, he came running out of the office and told me that he is giving me a raise! w00t!!!! He made it seem as if he had already had it in his mind to give me a raise. Which I'm fairly sure he didn't. Business has really been slow lately, so it's not like there's oodles of cash flowing. Whatevah! I can certainly use a bump in pay!


DH and I are watching 30 Days on F/X. Is anyone else watching?


Oh, and Twink...did you catch the mini-sode of Rescue Me? (C'mon, c'mon....!) I'm not sure why they don't just give us regular episodes, but I'll take whatever I can get at this point. LOVE that show!

Marita, I swear, you eat like a bird! Keep some oyster crackers or mini-bags of Cheez-its (or something like that) at your desk to add to your soup. And get a little jar or some little individual tubs of peanut butter. You can dip your little crackers in the PB if you get super hungry at work

In the process of cleaning for the yard sell I found TWO boxes of my clothes including summer stuff that fits right now this means I don't need to buy a new bathing suit or shorts or anything before my trip and even though I feel wucky about myself I obviously am the same size I was post-goldenchild AND I am wearing my Expedition Everest shirt which always makes me happy

Marita, ITA with Moo....you should definitely keep some snacks in your desk at work. Peanut butter, crackers, maybe some cookies? I keep some Special K bars, rice cakes and instant oatmeal in my desk....the closest thing to my office is a gas station, so if I don't bring food with me, I don't have anything to eat!

Twink, somehow I missed this post until just now. Duh.

The minisode was okay, I guess. I can sum it up by saying, "Meh." It kinda ticked me off that it was outside of the ongoing storyline.

Thanks for the congrats on the raise. Can you believe I got him to go to the store just because we were out of black ink pens? Actually, I am famous for sending him to the store just to get antibacterial wipes. I am forever wiping my keyboard, mouse and phone receiver with them. And he knows that if we run out, he's in big trouble.


ETA: I second the YAY on fitting into your pre-Grasshopper wardrobe! I LOVE "finding" a whole new set of clothing options!
