Yes the mutant insects (cicada's) are here as well and totally evrywhere...millions of them ....they are so noisey you could hear them over the lawn mower while mowing the lawn.

BH- that aint no water bug and I'm told they carry off small children and pets. It was the size of a toddler shoe (I exaggerate slightly). It literally was HUGE. It had claw-like FEELERS!

Wendy - We had one of those big suckers stuck in the corner molding of our Pop room one year. It was their for the several days we were. Alive.

No lie.

I wish we just had those palmetto bugs, these are actual small infestation roaches. As soon as I see droppings I'm bombing.

The kids have two weeks left of school and Hannah's teacher is driving me crazy. I know report cards have to be done by now and she gave them two projects due last week and now tomorrow they are having a science test I may have accidently throw out one of her science folders out last week that she bring home because it was full.

Hello Lil G. I sure hope all is well with you and family. So it seems. Things are rainy and wet here too. But not today. Or yesterday. At least outside. Inside might be a different story. But I won't bore you with that. Things are busy and crazy. All over I know but especially here right now. I think I need to change the title of that other thread. Maybe I will. Thanks for all the FD wishes. Mommy get an exterminator or my 9 year old boy. I have a headache and can't think. I think I need to go to Sunnybrook where it never rains. Or at least play golf once in awhile. During the week. What happened to THAT job?

ADT seems like a distant memory. I don't think I could anymore. I rarely even skim. So, if you said something to me or (more likely) about me I likely missed it. I need to go read a good Western.

Lex/MP/anyone else dealing with BUGS- We still have ants. But it is just one or two a day instead of an army. Keeping them at bay is like a part time job. I can deal with ants. The "aircraft carriers" skeeve me out.

So the DH says to me today "What are you up to today?" it a wistful voice as he dressed for work.

I say "Other than driving kids to and from swim lessons, basketball camp, and gymnastics? feeding them and cleaning the kitchen? keeping ahead of the laundry and paying bills? killing ants? why absolutely nothing!"


Ha. But I did do something exciting today- I booked a NON-DISNEY vacation. I know! Did you know there are other places with other discussion boards?????? Whooda thunk it?

I am pretty excited even though it is just a couple of nights at the beach. Four out of five twinkie children have never seen the ocean. Also I strategically located our reservation in the middle of the 10 days devoted to visiting inlaws. See. I am smarter than the average bear.

that bug looks like one that ended up in the back yard last summer....I almost had a major coronary....HONEST.......Megara was trying to get it and would bark at it and then back up two feet and then bark and back up...so I put a bucket on top of it...hubby came home and put it in the bucket and water.....thinking he would drown the thing...WELL..come to find out it is a type of water critter..called a Northeastern toepincher......if I EVER saw one of those in the water I would never ever ever step foot in it again.....so one type of bug once a year is not bad....

I guess I will take the 3 or 4 feet of snow and the twenty below zero temps and stay here......I hope we dont go up north to the woods either.cause the ticks are wicked bad this year.....

Mom has been on my mind alot lately with mothers and fathers day...she is deeply missed in our family...Mom was the center of our family ...telling us what to do...you know how that goes...lol

I worry about my Mom a lot these days too. She's in Dallas and I really wish that she would move closer. She works as a nanny/babysitter and my step-dad works for Home Depot. They could do those things here, easily.

Ants are everywhere here! argh!
and I found one roach when I was cleaning out my brother's crap. Hopefully I'll make him clean his stuff more and they will NOT come to my part of the redneck trailer.

My mom helped me deredneckify some more today. Things are starting to look better.
Pretty soon I'm going to move the computer into the spare room so my brother will stop SMOKING IN MY ROOM!

We had another wicked storm last night again. Knocked out our power again. This is becoming a regular thing this summer. I was just glad it was back on this morning..

ACK! Sorry about the storm, Nabbie. It was beautiful here today. Sunny and 70 I had an e-mail from my cousin and she said their power was out from Sunday through this past Thursday. Goog thing they were able to borrow a generator! The big pine tree that fell across their driveway is all cut up courtesy of the power company, but not hauled away yet.

Keep plugging away on your basement. I really need to de-junkify my room this summer too

Yes, I can definitely vouch for Bonnet Creek! It was VERY nice. Too bad all the properties allow though. At least BC was new enough that that wasn't an issue.
