Monica- I didn't do anything for the daycare father's either, :faint:
A hammock, eh??? Sounds like a nice place to nap and such.

BH-Sounds like a lovely time! Sorry 'bout your mom! OH! Before I forget, DH can't take off that week of October! So we are going one of the weeks prior (October still)...SO sorry!!!! I was all jazzed to be in DTD's Big-Guys TR this time! :rolleyes1 I think my friend Misty (Spongemommie on the DIS) is going with. We are making, or attempting to make, Ariel''s Ghetto ressies for just us girls and Blue Bayou ressies for both our families combined (WITH a nanny, 13 people). We decided not to do the Halloween party. And we still are doing Universal and Sea World and the San Diego Wild Animal Park. 6 full days of Family Fun.

Marita- I napped too! Geez! I can't get enough sleep lately! I'm all out of whack. Chicken a la king sounds yummy!

Nab- You're dad sounds wonderful!

Lynt- Lounging by the pool sounds lovely right now! I seriously love this heat!!! If I didn't have to worry about one or more of my kids drowning or "running", I'd gladly sleep or read a steamy novel poolside. Jump in when it gets too hot and evaporate/read again.

Wendell, I really LOVE the heat too! Everyone around here spent last week squawking about the heat and humidity (it was above 93 degrees with very high humidity). I LOVED it! I'll take heat over cold and snow any day!

Since I took Thursday and Friday off from work, I have spent oodles of time with the kids by (and in) our pool. Today was the first day in 9 days that the kids didn't swim (it was 68 and raining today :( )

I even ducked into TJ's earlier today to try on swimsuits for WDW. I didn't buy anything, but I did try on some cute tankinis. In junior size 8, even! I'm going to check out Macy's before I buy anything, since I have a gift card for there that's burning a hole in my purse! :rotfl:

Question to the masses: Anyone got any ideas/coupon codes/sale info about airfare? I have searched Expedia, Travelocity, Hotwire, IgoUgo, Sherman's Travel, and most of the airlines directly, but am still not loving the prices. Hints, anyone?

I'll be there in 5 mins.:worship: ..I have to get the sci fi transporter fired up or it would be 2 mins.:lmao:

OK, you're late for dinner!

But don't worry, I saved you some. You can eat with DH tomorrow.

Big L, I have no answers, but a question of my own for the masses. How does that Ding thing work for airfare? Since I might be flying to the exciting city of Montgomery, AL soonishly. (NOAllie)

Sounds like a lot of nice Fathers Day celebrations are going on today! We just got back from going out for ice cream at my hubby's friend's place. Yummmm. And as a bnus, it wasn't super busy so my hubby got to chat with her friend for a bit.

And we were able to talk with our daughter on the phone :) She was able to get her dog to swim in the river this weekend, so she was pretty geeked about that!

L, I was checking Airtran prices for my potential trip in December and it doesn't look like they have jumped too much. Have you tried their Web site?

Goog luck on the swim suit shopping!!!

Wendy - At least you still get to go to DL this fall! You'll get to ride Toy Story Mania!!!!! Sorry you won't get to have a mini-meet with the Big Guys.

Moo, AirTran is the airline that has the best price/flight schedule. It's not an awful price, it's just not spectacular. I guess I'd better just cowboy up and book it. :(

Wendy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:( :scared1:

My battery cable broke today and I dropped the replacement, so had to get bailed out by my buddy Alan. After we got the thang going, we went to eat and he told me about his upcoming trip to Branson with his sis. Long story short, I booked it for him when I got home. Saved him over $100 on his hotel. Rerouted him so his drive is 130 miles shorter. I luv planning trips. But wouldn't want to do it for strangers full time.

Yeah, I hear you, L! You might want to book it before the price jumps unless you have a chance at a Southwest ding rate. Airtran is usually my best option, but it's an hour plus drive to the airport. Much better than flying Delta or NW out of the airport closest to me though.

Quack! The Dis ate my post!

Dear part time TA DTD!

Could you please find me the best way to get to Montgomery, Al, on about Aug 4th?
Open to diving or flying.

I'll pay in Disney tickets (limit 2, the cheap bs!)

Your pal,
Marita

GOOD MORNING!

Gotta hit the ground running today. DS is attending his friend's VBS this week. (The friend came to ours last week.) Emily starts a camp today too. So I'm running two carpools this week.

Wish I had time to read back. Hope you guys all had a great Father's Day.

HAVE A WONDERFUL MONDAY!

Morning all,

We had another wicked storm last night again. Knocked out our power again. This is becoming a regular thing this summer. I was just glad it was back on this morning. It is hard to keep the kids out of the fridge when the power is out. They also learn fast what they take for granted. No TV, lights to read etc.

I would take heat over cold any day too!! Just don't like the lightening, thunder and heavy rain and winds.

We decide over the weekend moving things around down stairs is not going to clean it up enough. So today my job is to haul some boxes and stuff up to the living room to store until my BIL gets some of the basement done. The living room was also used as my make shift kitchen and had all those boxes....Good thing we don't get much company.:lmao:

Hope all you people planning trips get your flights straightened out. That is hubby's job. I do the other planning...or give him details and he makes it happen.

My Sister and I have talked about taking Justin to WDW the Dec. I just dont know if I can swing to Disney trips so close togeather($$$)

Good Morning!

I can't take the time to read back, however, I can try better to keep up now.

Know why?

Chad's working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He got a job with a local residential/commercial electric company. They chose him from the bazillion applicants because of his 8 years experience with just one company. They require that he has to go to school 5 nights a month so he can get his journeymen license, which will open up better doors for him.

And the best thing is that we didn't have to spend any of the money we made in Ga. It's still sitting in the savings account. So we're starting fresh with a few thousand in the bank, a new house, new baby, new job. God is so good. Of course He was good when we were broke without a job. We were never without, but it's so good to be on the other side of it now.

Unfortunately this new job isn't without it's price. Chad was told to be expected to work up to 66(ish) hours a week. That is going to be super hard on us, especially the one of us raising the kids. :headache: On the plus side we will be able to put tons of money in the bank.

Today is his first day. We had to get up at 5 because it's all the way in town. He's going to have to get a motorcycle to save gas:moped: since we only have one vehicle and it's a gas hog. I'm waiting to hear from him at lunch time to see how it's going.

As soon as he's worked a couple weeks and things look good I'm ordering myself some HIGH SPEED! I've had it with dial up. :badpc: Now that he isn't here all the time I can find time to DIS and once I have my high speed it will be even easier because I won't have to take 20 minutes to sign on. :furious:

It is super hot here. We've only been getting rain a couple times a week, which isn't good.

The baby woke up with ant bites the other day. I searched his crib and found a few, changed his sheets and looked around but I couldn't see any others. Later that day when I went to lay him down there were dozens of fire ants. So I stripped everything off his bed, again and we moved everything away from the walls. Chad went outside and found a trail of them climbing up the wall outside his room and into the attic. So they were coming down the inside of the wall and under the carpet, I guess. We put a little Seven Dust between the baseboard and carpet in there, let it sit for a day, vacuumed and wiped down the baseboard. Then I put a spit up rag and put it in his crib to see if they came back. :rotfl: They didn't, so I moved him back in their...for the day anyway. I am afraid to put in him their at night. I hate to think of what all those ants could do to him. :worried:

And I've killed 3 roaches this morning. I don't know where they are coming from or what they think their doing here. Everything in my house is packed up in Tupperware and we all know how obsessedly(is that a word?) clean I am. :confused3 It's been about a one a day killing since we got back from Ga.

It's always something.

We also have a major Black Widow infestation. Outside, in the garage, I've even found one inside.

So everyone let me know what's up with you. :)

MomP: Great News on his new job... more time for Dis plus disposible cash :woohoo:

Those fire ants are horrible...I walked on a nest once and was eaten alive.

MommyP!!!! SOO good to see you!
What a blessing the new job and opportunities opening up for ya are!
Again, I beg to differ on the horribleness of having one's spouse gone 60+ hrs a week :rolleyes1 LOL. Just don't tell my DH that opinion! :rolleyes1
YIKES on the insects! Roaches??? UGH! What about those mutant huge beetle creatures leftover from the Jurassic period y'all have?
Fire ants? Remind me of the newest Indiana Jones movie. :faint:

BH- your wife looks young!!! She doesn't look a day over 20, lucky duck!
