Why thank you for your confidence in the matter! I decided my final exam should be reflective of my entire college experience as a whole, so, I didn't study. Studying is for the losers. hee hee hee

Thanks for all the congrats for my DD and wellwishes for my son.

He made it safely to Alabama. He called at 8 pm. He is at a hotel 10-15 minutes from base. That was my biggest fear, an 8 hour drive.

It was my mom's birthday today too. She turned 94.

Well, I'm trying to get all my preparations finished up today and tomorrow. I've been pounding the Airborne for two days, but am going to get some bronchitis meds (if I can) to take with me, just in case. Tonight, I went and had a Malibu treatment and got my hair re-trimmed because it just wasn't looking right. Also, I went to the dentist today because my fractured tooth that I had repaired on New Year's Day decided to act up right before my trip. So . . . tomorrow I get to have a root canal I tell you, I'm having ALL kinds of fun lately @@!

Marita, glad your son made it up here safely. Will they even let him contact you tomorrow? I have visions of Officer and a Gentlemen in my head. Like someone will be screaming at him to shape up or ship out. Maybe not so much when you get to training school. Did you get to talk to your mom today on her birthday?

Well, DD got hit again! No, not in the head, but on the ankle. At least there wasn't as much drama tonight. When I got back from the concession stand with the bag of ice, she was already standing on base. She got a brownie sundae out of the deal though. DH stopped by the local ice cream spot and bought her one. She may get hit more often now.

Moo, Eek on root canal. I had one once, it really didnt hurt, that plastic bib they put in your mouth was the worst. Hope you feel better!

Yes, I did talk to mom today. So did both kids. DD said she didnt sound excited she was coming in July. Poor mom has nurses twice a day and other attendants, and the thought of a 23 yr old probably didnt thriill her. And communication was a bit of an issue, since mom hasnt been here for a few years and is a bit rusty.

PJ, I still savor the tought of never having to take another exam again, after listening to to the young people at work. I have to take occasional onlne quizzes, though.

Moo - My DS survived two a couple of years ago after getting hit in the Church's non-contact flag football tournament. Do you see a common thread with my kids? Do you have an Ipod? The oral surgeon recommended my DS listening to it while he worked. DS said it was a piece of cake. Good luck with that tomorrow, and hope the Airborne starts working and you don't get any sicker.

Back to work today. Boss is on vacation so I'll be un-busy this week. Don't you so much prefer to have too much to do? It makes the time go by so much faster.

I do have to say that I am glad the students are gone. Don't get me wrong. I love them but....now that the dorms are empty there is sooo much less traffic and my grocery store is quiet again. Even my 2-fer-1 margarita place will be less crowded now.

Mooo....Not a root canal! Ouch! RE: cold...Don't forget to takes copious amounts of Vitamin C! Feel better! Did you get some *just in case* meds? When do you leave? Aren't you going to NC first for graduation?

BNCG...So funny about the tooth fairy. When DS lost his tooth at my mom's, we brought it back home to put under the pillow so we could be SURE the tooth fairy would find it. It never occurred to us to just text her/him.
