our friend got her check today in her direct deposit........nice to know that they came early.......

Lynt....That's a lotta clay. Post a picture of the finished dino.

Will do. :thumbsup2

Allie! I was thinking of you this morning! I pulled out of my driveway, started down my street, and came thisclose to hitting a duck which was flying out of the pond beside my house!!!!! Had to slam on the brakes! (Don't worry, friends! No coffee was spilled in this mishap! Whew!) Then I had to pull back into the driveway until my legs stopped shaking. :sad2:

I stopped in at a Catholic Retreat/Gift Shop this morning to buy a special prayer book for Boris' First Holy Communion, which takes place this Saturday. He doesn't know it yet, but he'll be carrying my Papa's rosary...the very one my Papa carried when he received First Communion. Boris is named after my Papa, so he'll appreciate the sentiment. :goodvibes

Guess I'd better find something to wear to the party, since (happily) none of my dress clothes fit me anymore.....gotta go out and find something to fit my newish, smaller size. Yay!

Okay, back to work before CBM returns from lunch. Have a great day, everyone!

Lynette....I assume there was a travel mug involved in the goose mishap? And hat bit about carrying Boris papa's rosary and being named after him made me tear up.

Now home from wuckety job #2. Gotta clean some house. :laundy:

Oh there's a delima in the works.

What to call Wendy.

Does she keep her moniker? Utahmama? or does she become Tennesseemama?

Is that even available?

Oh no!

How about TennesseUtahmama?

Or UtahmamainTennessee?

Or the personformallyknownasUtahmama?

Oh my!

What to do?

What to do?

I will make the drive for a meet in Tennessee, just saying.

Cause I could really use a nice weekend AWAY! just saying.

Mony - Michigan seems so far away!

Did I post that I'm not driving to WDW now?
I booked a flight instead. woo!

No it snot!

From WDW yes, from TN, it's less than half the drive.

Oh. That is a situation. I vote to stay the same. :3dglasses

DH and I are gonna go on a scouting mission. You know, to find a home and job in a non-murderous and gorgeous neighborhood. This isn't nearly as hard as I thought it'd be. Everything is just kind of falling neatly into place. :confused3 Must be meant to be. :cloud9:

I've even talked myself into liking the idea of humidity. For anti-wrinkle purposes. My hair and skin are pretty parched here.

I'm needing a nap! Shhhhhh!

Adding
BBN
Allie sorry to hear they are not being very disneylike!!

I will make the drive for a meet in Tennessee, just saying.

Mony - I may be driving to Michigan this summer!! We can go together to help UMA (good catch on her name!)

Marita you got new tags!! :cool1:

I'll never be tagged!! :upsidedow I didnt know the TF was in the mood to tag!! :thumbsup2 WTG!! We need more funny TF sightings imho!!

 I have been busy busy busy planning our trip!! DD and DH vetoed my choice 1900 park fare - because they want LTT - hah, I just swapped them!! (why I didnt see that solution in the 1st place??)

Last Free dining - dd had sugar problems and we'd have to leave parks, or leave a line we'd be standing in to take care of her!! Well I was a bit upset when we couldnt use our FP beyond the return time (and yes dagnabit others have successfully done this!!) So I'm hoping for lower crowds and better luck -

we'll even shower!! ;) :rotfl2:

Did I ever mention I got thrown out of choir at the tender age of 13? It scarrred me for life, really We were on an island vacation with an all all girl schoolm and the teacher kept saying, somebody is singing off key. And then he singled me out!

Not a goog thing for your self-image at 13!

And THEN, when we got home, they made me be the MC for a school show. Which I totally stunk at. Like maybe they were trying to make me improve by forcing me to do something I am not good at???? Well, I sucked, and it made me feel even worse.

I can do some mean Excel spreadsheets though!
Okay, that is horrible and I hate that teacher. BUT in our little Moovin classroom you will totally rock the Excel spreadsheets!! I wonder what everyone else's jobs will be. :scratchin

PJ....I think you are the pretty one too and you're obviously the smart one. Exhibit A: top 5% on the teacher exam. Please. ;) I see where you're going with your reasoning on the clay model. But. I think if the kids can write, let 'em write. If they can sculpt, let 'em sculpt. Not both. Inevitably, the parents end up helping *too much* with one or the other. RE: Prom....Mimi DOES like to dress up and dance but she went with the girlfriends last year. And the year before. I guess she's over it. :confused3
I guess I understand the over the whole dance thing. I was like that, too. I didn't go to a lot of the dances in high school. Maybe I was too busy stealing ceramic pigs. And I'll be staying off my teacher soap box, don't worry. ;)

Yes, that is indeed how we roll. And where was this song about 4 weeks ago when I needed it?!?!? J/K I wasnt ready to hear it then, so it's all good. But I saw you posted this song so I found my Sugarland CD and put it in and listened, b/c I had forgotten it was on there, and when RS walked into the room, ya wanna know what he said? Ok. I'll tell you. He said "That song sounds like it was written about you." (you as in me, not you as in you PJ. hee hee)

I think I had my "you'll know just when I've had enough" moment about a week ago. I took care of some things and did a little "spring cleaning" in my life. Consider me standing.;)
Who are you trying to kid, you were never not standing. You're so strong I bet you could push me over with just one pinky! Well, you could try! :cool2: And did you tell RS that your brilliant beyond brilliant freakin genius friend reminded you of that song???

Hi folks. Had a really busy weekend, and have some family drama (extended family - in trying to plan my parent's 50th wedding anniv./70th b'day bash) so I'm not in the mood to post. So I might not be around for a while, just not feeling funny or jovial. :sad2:
I totally hear ya on the family drama right now, trust me. It sucks and I'm sorry you're going through that. I hope it all works itself out asap!

P.J.-- your and you sister look lovely. Is your hair getting longer?
For some reason that question just made me laugh. I don't know why. Yes, my hair is getting longer. It was over a year ago that I donated it, though, and it's still not as long as it used to be!! Crazy.

What a great way to honor your father. I love it. Double goodvibes smiley. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hope everyone had a goog Monday. Big project due in class tonight which I must rush around to finish! Catch y'all later!

Thanks PJ for catching me up!! I forgot you donated your hair!! You are AWESOME - and the education system is lucky to have you!! :goodvibes

No Check from the IRS for us - youngest DS however got one in the mail - not sure what it is.... I want to steam it open!! :rotfl2: I promise, I wont, but I'm thinking if I call and tell him its here, he'll ask me to open it... :rolleyes1 ok maybe not!! :rotfl2:

Elisabeth: This is a bit late but I was tied up for the weekend and unable to post... So sorry to hear about the passing of your grandfather. I'm glad you got to see him one last time and know that you will be reunited with him again someday when you leave this earthly existence. Hugs and prayers of comfort to you and your family.

1. Improves fine motor skills as kids get ready to head to upper grades where more and more writing will be required.
2. Allows for creative expression.
3. Most kids like art.
4. When you have researching, writing, art, etc. all incorporated into one project, you're giving ALL the kids a chance. For example, I had a little guy who couldn't write worth a darn. But the kid was such a talented artist. A project like that would build his confidence and give him a chance to excel.

THIS IS ALL AS LONG AS THE KID ACTUALLY DOES THE PROJECT AND NOT THE PARENTS!!!!!!! I understand that the kids need help. I get that. What I don't understand is when the kids come in with projects that the parents clearly did. :sad2: Why bother? I'll stop.
Wow. There for a second I almost thought PJ knows what she's talking about. :upsidedow

It's rainy and cold today....
There is a FROST advisory in the KC area tonight due to "cold Canadian high pressure" which will result in "record or near record low temperatures overnight". Thanks Nab!

I'll never be tagged!! :upsidedow I didnt know the TF was in the mood to tag!! :thumbsup2 WTG!! We need more funny TF sightings imho!!
Me neither Sandy. Me neither.

-- Rob

yah we are going to be in the 30s tonight.......Now that is cold after having an 80 day last week..........geesh

oh forgot I think......granddaughter does not have to take her statistic final....she got a 99.4 gpa .....she and one other person......professor asked her how she did it......she had some 100 gpa's on her last semester too.....hey she does good in classes...

Rob-- your welcome....I want my spring back. If feel like it could snow out here right now.

P.J.-- I did not know you donated your hair, what a great thing to do. And of course you quoted me when I had the two words mixed up, you and your .....maybe that was what made you laugh.

Pumba-- your granddaughter got smart genes in her. You must be so proud.

Sandy-- were you holding it up to the light. That sometimes works....:rolleyes1

Allie-- hope your problems go away fast,we will miss you.

I feel like Marita! There is nothing to eat in this house! I'm having peanut butter (which there's only a tiny bit of because my stupid brother ate all my food!) and cheese.
What a dinner!

Allie - Hope things settle down soon

Oh my, Lynette!!! Glad your coffee wasn't a casualty this morning!

Congrats on your skinniness - I'm sure you'll find something cute to wear! :yay: That is a nice problem to have :) :)

I will make the drive for a meet in Tennessee, just saying.

Cause I could really use a nice weekend AWAY! just saying.
Hey! We could ride together, Mony!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wendy - I still can't believe you're considering moving!!! I'm with Nabbie. What will Misty do without you???

To Rob, Nab, and everyone who is COLD tonight - I broke down and turned on the heat tonight :thumbsup2

Cel - I am having an eating everything in sight day :sad2: I blame it on my friend at work who brought in some super yummy fudge  Maybe it'll rev up my metabolism??!

Cool that you got a free flight! So what kind of car are you likely going to get?

Pumba - Congrats to your granddaughter!!!

Peej, my DD called last night and said that she has a big group project due this week, one final exam, and then she's done!!!!!! :dance3: She's stressing a little, but I'm sure she'll do fine.

Sandy! I was a little worried when you weren't here lately :rolleyes1 My computer freaked out when I turned it on and I was afraid I had a virus. DH said take the battery out and reboot and TG it worked :)

Goog evening to everyone else
