Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

I guess the manager that was at the food court was just to excited to think about it right...She and hubby were having a great conversation...

we are having Mothers day..(we were gone) our son and dil's anniversary (while we were gone) and our anniversary (46) and my old age birthday...yup I am finally a big ol' senior citizen...65 years old ...I am wicked old..but you all keep me young..
So we will be celebrating either sunday or monday...

Pumba -- I remember thinking 50 was old when I was a teenager..not anymore. So 65 is pretty young to me now. Your still a spring Chicken. :lmao:

Sounds like you had a great time. Wonder if they did away with the whole wheat buns. Never liked them either.

We have been spoiled with warm summer like weather and now we are freezing again. Glad I didn't plant any annual flowers yet they would have had to cover them up last night. And the wind has done a number on my beautiful Cherry blossoms.

Pumba, don't you know that according to many places you have been a senior citizen since you were 50, LOL? I'll be 61 in a couple of months, not far behind you.

In sad news, DD and her boyfriend broke up, 2 months after moving into the house her grandfather left her and buying furniture. They had been talking about getting married for a long time, and suddenly he lost interest and moved out yesterday. She is heartbroken, poor baby. I wish I could help her, but we are not very close, hubby is over there now (or soon, he left his phone at work and had to turn around to drive over an hour to got from Disney and then 30 mins more to her house). So now she is alone in the house with the cat and the dog and a yard to take care of.

Marita--Sorry to hear about your daughter. I'm going to hate those times when my kids start to date, especially if you get close with the other person and think one day they will marry.

Well hubby finally got my new dishwasher hooked up and running yesterday , the bad new is my car broke down. We think it is the altenator but won't know until Tuesday. That was the only time we could get it in. We do have the truck to drive but I have been avoiding the huge thing for years. Drove it for the first time last night. I feel like I am learning all over again. :lmao: Haven't even attempted to back the thing up. I'm in big trouble ....just dropped hubby off at work have to get Nicholas to work, then church in a small lot no less and then to a ballgame on Monday. I'm stressing, I know it is crazy people drive big cars all the time .....

I am so sorry Marita...please I am sure that maybe he was getting cold feet...sometimes guys all of a sudden say...OMG We are old and going to get married...YIKES..

I am glad that your husband will be there soon...maybe she can come home for the long weekend...
Cat, DOG and grief all wrapped up in one..

Today it is guess what...RAINING...we have had rain almost every day since we returned from Disney...I am starting to slosh and I think I smell MILDEW...no ..seriously ...another day and tomorrow the same ...THEN MAYBE Monday on our anniversary ...the sun shall shine...Sunday we are going out for breakfast (son in law called and said be there at 8 am)...a restaurant not far from here..to celebrate MOTHERS DAY...he is sweet...but he has to open his Bike store at 9 am...sooooooo we shall wake up early and be there at 8 AM...

have a good day

Great photos, Nabbie! Sorry I have been MIA. Life has been busy and I was vegging over the Memorial Day weekend... DD is flyng in for a long weekend without hubby on Friday, so I am prepping for that.

Marita - So sorry to hear about your daughter's break-up :( That really sucks.

Pumba - I'm happy to hear you had a good trip! Looking forward to our trip in November. We are planning to try to do Be Our Guest for lunch because I'm not too thrilled with their dinner menu. Sounds like maybe we ought to get there early? That shouldn't be too hard since we'll be staying @BLT. We are going to go to Food & Wine Festival and probably the MK Christmas party. We will just be missing Amber and Wes's wedding festivities, but maybe we can meet up our last day.

I was excited to read that Amber and Wes were married. That is so cool and I am thrilled for her ...Hope that they will be happy as clams ...and then down the road they will say...oh we have been married as long as PUmba and her hubby...46 years ...ROFL..

We didnt want to stand in line for 90 minutes to get into the lunch at BOG so we opted out for Cosmic Rays. Delicious Burger and also their chicken meal was great too...

We are so impressed with the customer service everywhere we went....When our gd lost her hat on Primevil Whirl...they said they couldnt retrieve it until late at night and then we could pick it up at Guest relations next morning...well we were leaving next morning ...They took gd's name and our address and voila...the hat appeared on Wednesday ...now that is fast service...she loved her hat...
Willy the server at the Luau too was very impressive...cordial and good natured and did his job without being asked...

Have a good day my friends

Well, after MANY years, I am attempting some minor gardening projects! I am trying to re-propagate some of my MIL's hens and chicks plants and finally planted some hollyhocks and put a pretty stone border around them. I also am planting an herb/fairy garden in Mari's old Radio Flyer wagon. The latter is something I saw at a lawn and garden shop last weekend.. I have rosemary, basil, cilantro and lemon balm planted so far and am going to pick up some small flowers to plant in the wagon this weekend. And maybe I will also pick up some decorative fairy items to put in.

I'll try to post a photo on FB when it's done. I planted the hens and chicks in a couple of terra cotta strawberry planters. I sure hope some take root! I have a brown thumb, so we'll have go wait and see!!!

When I first read that I thought you were getting some real hens and chicks. :lmao:Thought maybe you were becoming a farmer. You are out in the country. The wagon thing sounds cute and useful. Can't wait to see pictures. Just don't forget to water them. I have a potted tomato plant and it gets pretty wilted before I remember, and it is on the front porch and pass it every day too.

our cukes are up ...and the yellow beans have pushed thru the ground...we got our tomato plants in and hubby has been watering them...BUT Andrea will dump a good four inches on us this weekend...so we can use natures watering...

Hope all of you in andrea's path stay dry and safe...

its eleven fifteen almost and I am still in my housecoat...guess I should shower and dress..what do you think...ROFL..

have a good one peeps..I mean Moo'vers

I got my wagon all planted and will probably be posting some photos on FB tomorrow, so go take a look!

I've been thinking about doing some vegetable plants in containers, but I hate tomato worms. Maybe I'll try growing some tomatoes again and see if I can get hubby to deal with the pests!!!

morning...I couldnt find you guys..hunted high and low..

today the skies are monsooning on us...like you could not see across the road because the rain was so heavy...we could float down the hill...

Hubby will have to empty some of the water out of the pool when this one stops...they did say about three or four inches...

Okey have been back from Disney for a bit and I think I am ready for another vacation...I would like to talk "him" into driving down the coast and seeing places and then stay at Disney of course...but we shall see..

Moose Lottery is being drawn this weekend...I have all my body parts crossed...I would love to snag another big bull....more people are applying for this lottery...costs a little bit more but this is how they can dictate who goes where and what you can bag...either a bull or a cow...some places no moose at all...but some areas where four car accidents happening over the weekend...this place will be high on the list...people are killed each year because they hit a moose ..and the legs are so tall on a moose that they end up the heavy part..(body) in the front seat...scary...

hope you are all well and the end of the school season for some...I know...our kids in our area are done thursday...Our daughter is still teaching at the hospital...but Friday she can go back to her school..(no kids) ..she will see what happens when they come back from their time off...the day after July 4th usually...she is doing good though...walking a little better and not falling into walls ...

see ya later moo'vers

I know I haven't written much lately but I have been on.

Really not much happening. Kids are finishing school this week. Nicholas is done on Monday after his last exam and Hannah is done on Thursday.

Suppose to be a really hot and humid week too.

Now to play vacation for the summer. Hubby is finding it hard since Nicholas has to re do summer school since last year he on got half a credit and needs the other half now. He is also doing driver training sometime in there and they are both doing Youth group camps. So where we fit in family vacation I don't know.

Pumba-- saw a picture of you on Fb holding baby Bailey. Nice to see your face again.

Moo-- Hope your trip planning is going well. Loved the wagon and herbs.

Marita-- I see you are having lots of fun with your grand dog.

Got to go we are in the middle of a pop up thunder storm....I usually shut everything down don't want to lose my computer.

Nabbie - We have done what we can for vacation planning! Tickets are purchased and some ressies have been made -- Biergarten and Prime Time Cafe. We decided to just do lunch at Be Our Guest and to have dinner one night at all the Food & Wine booths. I am still waiting to purchase Christmas Party tickets and to see if California Grill will open up for reservations after its refurb. DD and SIL are doing an anniversary dinner at Artist's Point, but I would still like to do a family dinner at California Grill since I've never been...

I also still have to make our flight reservations. Maybe I should try again this weekend now that gas prices are finally down!

I rescheduled my knee surgery to 8/7. Even if they change our office move date again I'm pretty sure I'm still having surgery then so my knee will heal before vacation!!! Now I just have to have my pre-surgery clearance appointment and blood work. Please keep me in your thoughts for good results!

Hope everyone is having a great summer :)

Moo-- I hope all goes well and you can have you second knee done and will be ready to take on WDW.

Not much happening here the kids are officially on summer break.

Nicholas has to do a week of summer school to make up for the 1/2 credit he didn't get last summer. Needs this to graduate in two years. Then he is doing some driver training lessons and a youth camp.

Hannah is doing youth camp at the end of August again and will do some bible studies on Wed. nights if we are home.

Since I turned 50 a few months ago and went into the doctors for prescriptions this week came out with appointments for mammograms, bone density, colon check and blood work. So glad we don't have to pay for any of this stuff but I do need to get them booked and done.

Some where in there we will take the trailer out for a week or two. I think we are heading west this year. Last year it was east. I think he has a stop near Moo but I think your going to be down with your knee. I don't have the dates yet of when he wants to do this for sure.

Off to do :laundy: and maybe pick some strawberries at the local farm.

Have a great day everyone ....sun is shining here.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARITA!!!

:cool1::banana::yay:party::dancer::dance3::cake::drinking:

Hope you see this! Have a Great one!!!!

Not having a good day.

Hubby and the kids were taking the trailer to his dad's to clean up since we are planning our summer vacation and leaving next Monday.

Well some girl lost control of her car in front of them fishtailed but was able to stop on the shoulder of a 3 lane highway leaving them behind her to break hard too but since she stopped on the shoulder they had no where to go but in the ditch. Thank goodness no one was hurt. The girl started to pull away but then decided to stop. I think the boyfriend made her come back it was her dad's car. Hubby's driver side bumper and her rear panel scrapped. She got out and told him it was only a scratch and they could just exchange info. Hubby was like don't you see I am in the ditch no you have to wait for the police to come.

Took two tow trucks to get the truck out and another big one to get the trailer out of the ditch. They had to close down two lanes of traffic for this so it was backed up on both side because of the lookers. I was not with them and had to get though said traffic to get there to pick up the kids and see for myself everyone was ok. It happened about 15 minutes away but took me almost an hour to get there.

Hubby was just scared of t boning the other car because the truck and trailer are so heavy. It was the trailer that went in the ditch first pulling the truck with it. The kids were calmer then me when I got there.

The trailer just is beat up on the front end but can be repaired not a write off, now if it would have rolled another story. The truck has driver side front panel and bumper damage. The tow truck guy said to get the tires etc check just in case but the truck I guess is drivable so far. Hubby is out getting the trailer where it needs to go and the truck looked at. Spent an hour on the phone with the insurance company too. The tow truck bill came to $1700. now we have to see who will pay for that CAA or insurance. Called CAA but they couldn't have someone there for an hour and the police said get it out now. Lots of tow trucks came , they sit on the side of the 401 highway all the time.

With all the lookers there was a fender bender right there too, when Nicholas was calling me to tell me what was happening all I could here was screeching of a car and Nicholas saying oh no, I thought they got hit again but it was just two other cars not paying attention. It was a mess. As was I until I got there.

Anyway ....that has been my day. Hope all you are having a nice sunny Saturday.

Wow Nab, how scary and what a mess. Just glad everyone is not hurt!

Not much happening here, getting ready to leave Thursday to go to Montana for a week. I am NOT doing well getting ready, LOL. At least I got a suitcase today. I need to get nails done, and its not looking good for that today, its ugly outside and I dont want to go. I need clothes too, but if all else fails, I will just make do. Both my pc's are very sick, hope one makes it ok on the trip.

We were planning on going west too this year. Tipping down into the U.S . Going to the Mall of America is one thing I know on the agenda or was on the agenda. All depends if the truck clear to drive, hubby has it home but has to be taken to the insurance companies picked garage.

Montana , is it hot out there at this time? We have been having some wicked rain storms and humidity this year. Even had flooding in Toronto last week crazy.

Wonder if Moo got her other knee done yet , we were going to head that way at the end or beginning of our trip but thought she might be out with her knee surgery.

Yes, it;s hot there, at least this year, in the 90's. but we will be in the mountains for 4 days, hopefully it wont be as bad.

Don't know about Moo's knee, she doesnt post much on FB.

Hope you will be able to go on your trip and have fun. And thanks for the bd wishes!
