Mony-- sound awful , feel better soon. Not a good time to get sick.

The mass, well I am happy we have a projector that helps us out with the change. We got a treat yesterday, our priest sang some of the mass. Love when he does that and the alter is all festive. Just beautiful.

I am going to do lots of running around today because after today , hubby is off and I have to finish up his presents. I only little things left . Have to take Hannah out tonight to get some kind of chocolate for him she tells me. She just beams when she buys stuff for him with her own money. Love it. Nicholas he just tells me what he want to get him gives me money and I get it.

They say we are going to have a green Christmas. Just seems wrong , but I like too because the roads are good to drive.

morning everyone..
yesterday we FINALLY put the tree up...and I found the decorations that were missing...BUT still missing is my assortment of HO HO sweatshirts...and my pickle forks and my beautiful tablecloth that my MIL made...I feel very empty without it...BUT I still have this week to check out more boxes..I shall LOOK and LOOK and LOOK..
The house does look nice with the tree up and the lights around Mickey mouse that stands up in the front windows...

Mon..I hope you feel better fast....
Now onto the church thingie..I dont do change good...I HATE change ...but hopefully this will bring the young people participating more too...I dont know..

it was only 8 this morning when I got up and its still in the low digits...the frost everywhere was so cool to see on the trees and cars and the smoke coming out of the chimneys around the area...BUT some dang bird at six thirty must of landed close to my trees and YELLED FOR ME TO GET UP...not impressed with all the country critters...

have a good day

Mommy P, yes, all the resorts are getting free wi-fi, they did premiums first, then the mods and values last.
How about staying for less that 10 days? that would cut down the cost. Hope the extra work for Chad works out.
I never did meet you or Twinkie for some reason.

The difference in price on tickets between 8 days and 5 days is only $154 for all of us. The 7 night Bonnet Creek portion will only be around $500. The extra nights will be the biggest extra expense because it's like Disney, the more you stay the less you pay. lol. Plus it will be the only vacation we take for a year and last year we went 7 nights and it was NOT enough. So if we have to wait until Sept. to take it all it will be worth it. Plus looking at the crowd calenders for May it is 6-8s, when last year at the same time it was 4-6s. Sept. is all under 5. So it might be worth it to wait.

We are done with our Christmas shopping. Only 3 more things to get, if we can find a Walmart with them in stock. (cheapy bikes.) Only 2 of our kids have bikes anymore. That's pretty sad.

Mommy P-- The kids will be excited to get bikes. Around here there is usually snow so bikes are not given at Christmas. I did get Nicholas a scooter one Christmas. That was a green Christmas too.

I am finally done my shopping and baking is almost there too. Only have to make one more batch of Kiss cookies since my first batch disappeared. I just finished up chocolate chip one. I (x8) the receipe. so that is a lot of cookies cooking in my kitchen right now. I think it is about 20 dozen. Some for home , some for in laws and some for my family. Plus sending some to the youth group tonight with Nicholas with some Oatmeal chip. I would send a tray of different kinds but kids can be picky and I don't know who has peaunt allergies so these two are safe. I scrub my kitchen good between batches I made with peanut butter because my neice is highly allergic.

Opps forgot I have to decorate my Gingerbread men too. Then I can sit and relax.

Nab, the only Ab rooms refurbed so far are the farthest away, but also Bldg 14, which is the closes, but that is preferred room view (more $), dont know if I can get that Let me know if you prefer close over refurb, unless I can get bldg 14 for you.

Pumba, wow, that would be a quick sell if you can arrange it now, hope it works out. And nothing wakes me up, let a lone a bird, LOL A bomb could go off and I wouldn't hear it

Mony, sounds like bad crud, hope you are better soon. And congrats on your awesome grades

One more day of work for me, then the marathon of housecleaning/shopping/cooking begins for our annual big christms eve dinner I have dreaded it every year for 35+ years, but they (and hubby) wont let me get out of it. If at least I didn't have to make a whole turkey dinner I would feel much better, but NOOOO, hubby has to have his turkey and more importantly, leftovers I will feel much better on Sunday!

Good morning everyone..
Today is my day off...and I got to REALLY sleep in...8 o clock...I feel good...fingernail is off and that felt good sleeping...I didnt hit it once...

I remember being always in bld 14 at Dixie Landings...we stayed there maybe four times with our daughter and her two munchkins.trundle bed..(her hubby is not a disney person, although they went there for their honeymoon)...so anyways...that bld was the best for us with the kids...close to food and close to busses....loved it..

Last night we went to walmart...had to stock up on chips and dips and deodorant and soap...and doggie stuff.....and it wasnt bad last night...love to shop when it isnt CRAZY..

Today is a warming trend...its 34 and I love it...the house is actually nicer today then yesterday when it was FREEZING OUT ...

Have a hair appt on Friday at one......YIPPEE...I look like an old hag....well I am old but not yet a HAG...hahahaha..

Marita and others..hope you are all feeling better and get ready for the holidays...
luv you bunches

Mony hope you're feeling better!

Pumba I went to Walmart yesterday too - it was so quiet! and they were stacking shelves!

Nab I remember the Christmas I got a ten speed bike - I was so THRILLED - I begged and begged, but my parents were so practical, saying, its winter, you cant ride it, no where to store it in winter, yada yada - I think I finally broke down crying Christmas Eve, begged to at least can I have an IOU for a bike (mind you the bike I had was built from scrap yards - huge thick wheels, a big seat, basket... I was in high school 9 th grade!)

My parents had bought the bike I wanted - and was storing it a neighbors - my mean parents thought about putting an IOU under the tree - I loved my bike - FF to meeting dh - he had the exact same bike - in the exact same color - YELLOW!!

Marita I think the anticipation of the work involved is overwhelming - but the joy of coming together is worth it - I keep telling myself that!!
(and if you had pull with the BWV - :rotfl2: seriously, Disney magic, it always works out!)

Must bake cookies today...
must bake cookies

WTH? The electricity went out!

/
Nab - Yes we have about 12 laying hens and 4 roosters. We have to get rid of two of the roosters.

Sandy says she has to bake the cookies...has to make the cookies and I am saying
Stay away from the fudge.....stay away from the fudge...I love it...

Hubby and I dont do the gift exchange for each other...we have always done this but sometime in the year I get a surprise and that is what we do...when we least expect it....Our gift this year is the new house of course...and our trip to the House of the Mouse...and taking our DD...I am so anxious for her to come with us..Our Son and dil and two munchkins are coming too...but DD hasnt been there since 2002..ten years ago ...wait til she sees all the changes..

anyways...cleaned a little today and ate some of that dang fudge....need to walk it off up and down the stairs...cause it is in the low 20s now...geesh

Pumba-- Stay away from the fudge. :rotfl:

Mommy P-- you must get a lot of eggs with that many. I remember when you got your first few. The really colourful one.

Didn't do much today. Went to the drs. for my prescription renewal. My blood pressure was up but I told him it was him. He told me my bad choloestrol is good but my good choloestrol numbers weren't and I should get more exercise to make those ones better.

Not dieting at this time of the year , or since I am going on a cruise. Not happening. I will use the stairs on the boat though. Faster sometimes then waiting on the elevator so hopefully it all evens out.

Nab- well one of those doesn't lay anymOre she Is getting a free ride. Another died today. We actually only get 5-7 a day. We have a lot of people at church who buy weekly. We sell more than we eat. We have more people who wants eggs weekly than we have eggs for.

MP, sounds like you need more chickens, LOL

Sandy, that bike sounds like an awesome present

Pumba, send some of that fudge my way (not that I need it )

I am now officially on vacation till Tuesday. Well, not vacation really, more like slavery, getting the house ready for Saturday's gathering, and shopping, etc. Going to hit Walmart tomorrow, hope it's still slow (yeah, right!)

I stopped at the liquor store to get some wine tonight for myself and the strawberry bowle I always make, but I forgot to get a couple of bottles of goodish wine to offer, geez So I guess I'll pay a little extra for those at the grocery store, im not making another 1/2 hour round trip now.

Have a great day, everyone.

I love free range eggies....Our egg lady is a dear lady and she supplements her income with selling..
I always get 8 dozen every other week...(she delivers)..four usually stay with me and my Old neighbor gets the rest for her co workers....they too can tell the difference in store bought and free range..

I still need to get the presents wrapped..and some food done for Sunday family time..Our gathering isnt until January 1st...not a big group but big enough...

Hope you all have a great day

Pumba - I have a friend who bought eggs from me once and was sold. Her husband doesn't like eggs, but can't get enough of ours. They are SO much better.

We just had someone anonymously give us $800 dollars! We pretty much can tell who it is because we only know of one person with a ton of money. What a blessing!

Wow...someone is an angel in disguise for sure...
Merry Christmas to them for they understand the giving part..

I get four dozen eggs but give two to my daughter...she loves them as much as we do...I really like the Easter Egg chickens...they are blue shells...so pretty sometimes to look at...Of course free range means she doesnt clean the sh----- off...shells that is...hahahaha..

stay away from the fudge...yah right....it is to good...well not in looks cause it is drier then normal...will put in more peanut butter next time....hubby wont miss his jif peanut butter cause we have six two packs in the storage closet...hahaha...

I did wrapping today cause my little rug rat Ava had an ear ache...I called her mama (my niece) to tell her ...I gave Ava some of her tylenol and she went to the doctors at eleven thirty...the roads were mega slippery so my niece decided to go home and stay home...good thinking...my princess has a double ear infection..

MommyPoppins May you continue to be Blessed in all ways! :goodvibes Thank God for Blessings! :goodvibes DH's new job, we're so afraid it wont last, but while its here, we're so grateful! The most entertaining thread I read on the Kindleboards (of ALL places) people who began to raise chickens! they included pictures - very very interesting!

http://www.kindleboards.com/index.php/topic,17786.0.html (its a huge thread now, but it included recipes and everything!)

Marita *in my bestest mom voice* Dont you over tax yourself! We all worry about you!! :lovestruc Now, pass a glass of wine!! ;)

Pumba Did ya have to say FUDGE? :rotfl: DD is asking to make my fudge (I lost the recipe :rolleyes1) It is so expensive to make - it includes all kinds of chocolate - including one huge bar of Hershey's! I do NOT want the fudge in my house!! I'll send it to Marita (heck I could even hand deliver it in a few weeks!!)

Nab I have no excuse. I couldnt get in shape to run the Half... between my foot injury, and my hip - I just have gained too much weight to do it and still enjoy life! I must get on the right track. Its good for the mind as well as the body.... *sigh

Did I mention Meagan is taking German in School - she wouldnt let me make the German cookies - my dh's grandparents were German - she said she didnt need the extra credit!! :rotfl: We're going to go to the Christkindlmarket in Chicago Friday - people come from Germany to sell their wares, its so awesome! http://www.christkindlmarket.com/

Pumba- most the time the eggs are clean, when they aren't i wipe them clean. I have 1 blue egg layer. She laid her first egg yesterday but it got crushed. It actually was more mint than blue which is a bummer because I paid for a full blooded ameraucana and expected blue eggs. We have a ameraucana rooster s well. Hopefully next summer we will have some chicks hatch that will lay green.

Mommy P -- can't say as I have seen a blue/mint egg other then a robins egg in a nest. Don't think I could eat one either, are you suppose too? What a nice gift you received. Hope your family has a great Christmas. House full of kids is always fun at Christmas.

Sandy-- I just cleaned my kitchen up, put my pans, measuring cups, cooling racks away. Even just scrubed the floor at 11:00 when I should be in bed. Now you have me thinking of making fudge. I just finished up 11 different kinds of cookies.

Marita-- are you making head way with you cleaning , shopping etc. How many do you have come over?

Christmas Concert was so cute tonight. You know there is always a few kids that steal the show. One little grade one girl had the best facial expressions. This was the best they have had , last year I swear they sang the same song over and over this year it was all different. Hannah's class did a Africa drum song with buckets. They really really good too. I wasn't so sure when she said that was what they were doing.

Well must see if my floor is dry and put my table back in , I move it to the family room when I wash the floor. It is light as a feather. Hubby went out shopping about 10:30 hoping for no crowds. He has his brother left and he is done too.

Good Grief Nab!!

use Rachel Ray recipe for the easy fudge (it works for me, not for my kids! :sad2: http://www.rachaelray.com/recipe.php?recipe_id=824

ok, so I dont do all that fancy crap - only chocolate, no butterscotch chips, no walnuts, no currants - just chocolate, just sweetned condensed milk - it works! taste good to me!)

and truly - you are cleaning - THIS late!! :worship: you are WOMAN!!

DD was so upset - the high school decided the Band would not be in the Holiday concert - just Orchestra, and choir! I do love the drum circles - they do those in 4th grade here - it does remind me of the drummer in the Grateful Dead band... he took his drums to his grandma, who was in a nursing home - he was amazed at how it seemed to help the group - he then went and studied drum circles... who knew? GD done good!

FINALLY got dd to go up to bed. we dont allow tv's in the bedrooms, so she likes to fall asleep to tv (as do I :sad2:) so since school is over, she wanted to stay down here...

I have so much work to do! I shall be inspired. Tomorrow is another day!

OK - I checked - here it is!
