Sandy -- sounds like you have your hands full lately. Does that mean you will be there the same time as Moo and I ? Or is the marathon later in Jan.

I have been so busy lately with Christmas stuff , but still not into it. I just keep thinking of the bad stuff that happened in this month and those dates are coming up. Hannah keeps me going though. She is so excited and doing all the craft stuff , singing , and stuff.

Poor Nicholas is still not doing well. We had him to emergency Tuesday night. They can't do anything else for him but give him good drugs. We went back to the specialist asking for a sooner date on his G.I stuff. They moved it Dec 27 instead of Jan 31. We are also on the waiting list being the first on that list. I hope it is sooner.

Moo-- glad you got your card. Funny you got it the same day my mom did two hours away.

So sad about Robin Costello :sad1:

Sandy - My DD knits coffee cup warmers, hats and mitts mostly, but she has also started doing some sewing. She has made some pillow covers, trendy aprons, and knitting project bags (which seem to be her best selling item on Etsy). She has also made some felt rosettes. She got the knitting/sewing gene from my mom! My crafting abilities lie elsewhere, LOL.

Like, Nabbie, I was also wondering if we might be able to cross paths at WDW! We stil haven't nailed our plans down with Marita.

Pumba - So happy to hear that your SIL had a good outcome :grouphug:

Nabbie - Sorry to hear that Nicholas is still having problems  That is kind of strange that your mom's card arrived the same time as the one that you sent to me!!!

Sandy and Mony, good to see you again.

I'm a bit in haze tonight. Had a very scary thing happen on the way home from work tonight. Was just about to turn from I-4 to the Beachline in the right lane when all of a sudden my eyes saw quadrouple. Not double, but QUADROUPLE! Then my car ran off the road on the side, so I stopped the car. Saw everything in 4's. Turned my hazzard lights on but nobody stopped. Sat there for maybe 5 or 10 minutes and it passed, so I drove slowly home on the right side of the road, just in case it happened again, but it didn't.

My BFF, who is a medical researcher, googled it for me, and it looks to be a temporary or mini stroke, where you have loss of blood to the brain for a short while without permanent damage. Anyway, scared the heck out of me, so I'm calling the Dr. first thing tomorrow. One thing if that happens at home sitting on the couch, another if you are in the middle of the interstate and your car goes wild!!

Wow Marita that is scary! :scared1: Glad to here you are getting it checked out. That is nothing to fool around with.

I wish I know how to knit because it looks like you can make some pretty neat things. I do not have that gene either. I have tried many times and it just didn't stick. I need to get back to my cross stitch. That I can do but I spend way to much time on the computer.

Poor Nickalas....Tell him to get rid of what ails him and feel better fast..

Marita...hope you do call the doctor today and get that checked out....

Last night we went to the OLD HOUSE and took the last of the stuff out...only one half of a rug is left...to wash...and he will do that at 3 o clock after he gets out of work...SOOOOOO I guess I will be calling our realtor to start up the paper work for us to sign...I am anxious...I hope and pray we sell it fast but we are done working on it and that is good all by itself...

Robin didnt want a funeral so it will be just her family for the services...I was trying to figure out what day it was and I would of tried to go...Should be in the paper tomorrow obit anyways...

Maybe this weekend we can decorate the house...I am trying to be not a humbug person but I get down a little ....Today my mom has been gone for 4 years...unreal how fast the time flies ...I think she would be glad for us in this new house...we promised to stay in the other one as long as she wanted to be there too.......and she did right up until six months before she passed away...93 years old....

Hi all,

I called the Dr. this morning and they told me to go to the ER for an MRI, there was nothing they could do for me in the office. They think it was a mini stroke (TIA) and there may be a big one coming. This was almost noon, as I couldnt get up this morning and called in sick, so I took tomorrow off too and plan to go to the ER in the morning and sit around waiting for hours

Feeling weak today so I'm glad I had nothing urgent at work, I wouldnt do any good anyway, and driving scares me now.

/
Marita..
My Mom had a TIA when she was 80ish and she never had a stroke after...only thing was she had a few hours of confusion and that was it.......so hopefully that is all you have problems with...

My brother came over and visited for a while....his wife is doing pretty good...she is still in ICU but hopefully will be out of there tonight or tomorrow...thanks for her good wishes too ..

Marita :scared1: I know the scary feeling of being incapacitated while driving (Menier'rs disease/vertigo/ really really dizzy) I cant imagine how you must feel now - I'm sure you are in good hands - and all will go well!! You are one strong woman - make no mistake!

Pumba yay you're done with the old house, may it sell quickly! Still continue to be sad about Robin. I know something happened within the family and she took down quite a few of the blogs - but I tell you that one about putting the lights, they looked like breasts - still has me :rotfl: I never noticed it before, but now, I never NOT look at what ceiling lights people have (in-ee or out-ee :rotfl2:)

Nab I knew how to crochet granny squares - but hadnt done it in a very very long time - then dd wanted to knit - we tried and tried, watched youtube - finally dh watched youtube once, and taught us how to cast on - DD still bind's off for me...

Moo is she felting those coffee cup holders? I loved the knitting convention I went to last summer!

DH is in the "Goofy" Marathon - so he'll be running - we're heading to the world Jan 4 - Wed thru Jan 10 Tues. Its been up and down buying a ticket at a time - we're finally all good to go - we lucked into a DVC at Boardwalk Villas - amazing!

I have a friend that always dreamed of Disney - working, and living - she used to take a camper her and her dh would stay at Fort Wilderness - then he passed away. After 2 years, she has finally realized her dream - She is now an official CM and is working at Disney!! :cool1: She's at the call center. One sweet amazing lady - and I cant wait to see her again - she is a southern sweet (think more Paula Deen than... well dont want to insult anyone!! :rotfl2:)

and the BIG NEWS? :cool1:

DH GOT A JOB OFFER TODAY!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1: :wizard:

He's been working off and on - more "contract" work (computer stuff) but now, God willing, he'll be appreciated and LOVE the work (its with "Linux" operating system, a senior management position! :cool1:)

SANDY...what a great Christmas gift for your hubby and your family.....YIPPEE and congratulations to him for the job...

I still look at some of the blogs that Robin did and laugh my head off...she just had a way of making people laugh..
Do you remember the blog she did of the peacock I think or something that would come in her yard down in Florida and chase her around until she went back in the house....Or the palmetto bug that freaked Del out.....Omg I still laugh when I think of that one......brings tears to my eyes...

Kimball found out that she had a pulmonary embolism or anuresym or something spelt like that.....give me a break I dont have spell check here...ROFL..

I signed my portion of the papers here today and then she will meet up with hubby at the old house and he will show her around and sign the rest...She said will "he" be upset if I put the sign on the front lawn while he is still there...and I said HELL NO....do it ...ROFL..Yes Pumba with one A ...AKA Marie said a naughty word...hahaha...

Love my Moover friends ..have a great day

and Marita check in and tell us how you are..and I AM saying another thing...Eat THREE MEALS A DAY...and a small snack at 9 pm BEFORE You go to bed...you need FOOD...

Well we got snow this morning but nothing is sticking thank goodness. I am not ready for the heavy stuff yet.

Did some of my Christmas wrapping this morning , and trying to figure out if we are done shopping for the kids. I think we are but we still have two weeks yet to go and we always end up seeing something else. Then you have to make it even....so I am told.

My problem is my husband. Have know idea what to get him. He gets whatever he needs or wants all the time so I am stumped. I do have some things he says buy it now if it is on sale and he is with me and put his name on it at Christmas. What is the surprise in that. He hates getting clothes too.

Marita-- do check back in with us. I am sure they won't tell you the results right away but if is somethng urgent to be taken care of the doctor will get back to you. At least that is how it is done here.

They didn't see anything in Nicholas ultra sound he had done so now our last hope is that G.I Test and colonasapy. That is not going to be fun for him. Hard to see him on pain and not be able to do anything. Sure hope someone cancels there test so we can get in sooner.

Sandy-- Moo and I will be on the boat by the time you come but she might still be there after. I fly out right after the cruise.

Marita hope you are being taken care of :wizard:

Nab well I hear that the colonoscopy you get good drugs, and feel fine - the GI test, ew not so much... hope you get answers and Nicholas gets back to health

You're going to miss the marathon crowds?? Well, I do have to say I am so excited this is the first marathon weekend that they are keeping the Osborn lights on for!! Cant wait to see them! (They're up to Jan 7 this year, usually they are down by Jan 3!) AND the predictors of the weather are saying it will be a balmy 50 deg at the start of the marathon (ABOVE zero!! lol) So no sleet, or snow!

We've done no Christmas shopping. I have tried to make a few things, but I'm stalled. I have to get back on that! I think dh and I will have a $20 limit - and head to the Dollar Store!! I am so getting him a black turtleneck like Steve Jobs wore (only Jobs wore a $195 model, I'm going with a $20 one from Land's End!) Not sure what to do with Meagan - but we'll do what we can... There's always Spring Break!

pumba too funny! (cussing! Shocking!) I have noticed some of the blogs have disappeared, I'm sure it was something a family member objected to - but she was special that's for sure!

well we went out to Chinese buffet to celebrate...of course I didnt do much of the chinese stuff.....tonight I had steamers and crablegs......they were so sweet and tender..and I had fun cracking them and putting them in butter...same with the clams...Delicious...i did have some brocolli and chicken and salmon and fried rice...my favorite...and for dessert I had some fruit....(GOOD GIRL MARIE)

Marita hope all is well.....

OH my SIL called me from the hospital and she is doing pretty good..she is still in the ICU floor but not with ICU nurses as of this PM...that is always good news...they took out some of the tubes and will do the epidural one that is for her drugs...it is for pain...weird but it is not addictive like the morphine could be..

hope you all have a good night

Today we did all the keys for the other house...one set to stay there and one set with us ...just in case someone locks one of the doors there...and there are plenty of doors...believe me..

This pm, my sister and I went to the hospital to visit our SIL..we had a great visit ...also my brother ended up going back at the same time...she looks good and sounds good...they have taken out most of the tubes except the drainage ones and one epidural for pain meds......and also her iv's....she had broth for lunch and jello...she said it was SOOOOOOOOO good compared to ice chips...but she said at this rate ..she would eat a horse..

just put in baked potatoes and stuffed chicken thighs...I love thighs better then chicken breasts..thighs have so much flavor...I got the skinless boneless ones...delicious..

Marita..how did you make out.....are you feeling better??

Pumba - SO happy to hear that your SIL is doing well! Sounds like you've made great progress on the house too :)

Marita - Another friend hoping that you're doing fine!!!

Sandy - I'll be at WDW for one day after getting off the ship. Not sure what park(s) we'll be at that day though, so it may be a bit difficult to connect unless we exchange cell numbers so we can call or text :confused3  It'll most likely depend on where my sis most wants to go since hubby and I will have a couple days to spend at the parks before I cruise and she will only have the one day after.

Nabbie - Hope you were able to get some more Christmas shopping done. I don't have too much left to do other than a couple stocking stuffers.

Tomorrow I have my get together and crafting day with some work friends. We always have a wonderful time and are starting earlier than usual this year with a breakfast! I have all my Christmas gifts packed up, made some "cheese cookies" as a snack to go with our wine in the afternoon (I'm also taking some cheese and crackers), and just have to load up the car with my gifts, craft supplies, and food/wine offerings in the morning :goodvibes

Marita Hope you are caring for you - rest, and heal... thinking of you :wizard:

Moo - I'll PM my cell # to you - it only takes a minute to {hug} IRL - not sure what your ship dates, and day after are - AND - I have no idea what my touring plans will be - but, I do know we're staying BWV :cool1: and DH is very accommodating of my internet friends!

WHERE is time flying off to? Honestly, 2 weeks till Christmas, and I just cannot get motivated. I need to make rumballs - (cookies of any kind) oh, um.. PUT THE TREE up! (hoping dh can re-home his shephard/lab mix of a teddybear dog!)

morning friends of the internet...

today is sunny and COLD...15 when hubby got up and it made it to 20 when I got up...COLD..

Marita..please check in as a good group of moovers want to know how you are....

Hubby is not a dis person and when we go to Disney we like to Do Disney...I have run into a few Disney people and he did go to AK the year the Moovers were there....yah he was good but hates to share his Disney time with other people other then friends and family.....geesh...cant believe he isnt a Dis person...sometimes he knows more answers on the dis then I do...HAHAHHA..

Hubby made Sunday breakfast like he usually does....turkey bacon, eggs and toast and coffee to fill up the moment my feet touch the kitchen floor....I love that part...but wont put on the timer on the coffee pot...one year many moons ago a....friend of my moms house burnt down due to the coffee timer...so the scaredy cat that I am...dont use it..unplug after each use..

please send prayers to a little boy from maine ..His dad works for my BIL's company...well the little boy has multiple tumors...brain and spine and stomach area...all cancer....life sometimes does not seem fair...he is not going to live long they said....so Prayers would be welcome as Miracles sometimes do happen...

Have a great day friends ...

Yes Marita do check in. How did your MRI go?

Pumba-- that is so sad about the little boy. Prayer for him and his family. Sad how things can just change in a blink of an eye. I try to take mental pictures of the kids. Like watching Hannah walk up to the school with her backpack before I head home , or Nicholas waves in the morning before he heads out the door. Just little things...

I am tired today, actually everyone is here. The Christmas party was fun last night. Didn't get home until after 2 am and that is late for me. The kids were still up when we got home and we all got up for church this morning. They had a live band but I would have prefered a D.J just for more variety. They sure did play some oldies though. I didn't drink and let hubby. People were giving him lot to drink. I was just praying he didn't get sick on the way home. He didn't but he said he thinks he can still feel it this morning.

Not sure if I should attempt to bake some cookies this afternoon or not. Maybe a nap instead.

morning..

fingernail is almost to the point of leaving my finger...I am wearing a protector on it so it wont leave before its time.. gives me the heebie jeebies.......

Today is COLD ...I know...what do we expect living in Maine........SNOW (nope) but it is cold...Told Ava that Santa still comes with wheels if there is no snow...

..I am sitting here drinking my coffee out of an old stainless travel mug with a cover....My other dalmatian (maybe 12 or so years ago) ate the top of it and it still fit so I use it....BUT ...grief over this today....It is leaking out the bottom..I always sit here and hold it in the left hand while my right hand does the scrolling and clicking...and my pants were wet in the middle of both my legs...so when my rug rat (ava) got here I went up ..fed her breakfast and changed my pants...well I am down here while she watches her morning program and AGAIN my pants are wet...I guess that means I have to get rid of my most favorite ever ever coffee receptical...what am I to do...nothing compares to this one...whaaaaaaaaaaa..

Hope you all have a great start to a "monday"

Good Monday Morning!

Time is flying - Cant believe its Dec 12! :scared1:

Marita thinking of you :grouphug:

Nab Big party - 2 AM!! naptime indeed

pumba aw.. but, still - wet pants? :rotfl:

DD had a nice temper tantrum this morning, coupled with Dh's temper tantrum - ug. DD keeps missing the bus - I have been known to flag down the bus, but today, dd wasnt going to get on that bus - she had her bassoon, couldnt find her ear buds, couldnt get her coat zipped, etc. DH didnt giver her the money for lessons, or for lunch. (Friday she had her wallet stolen at school, they took the money and put back the wallet. Since it wasnt in a classroom, there's nothing they can do) Nothing like having your week start out bad - she took off and walked after dh scolded her - he drove after her, he came back, she ignored him... Welcome to Monday

Dogs are chasing each other. Now demanding water. (my dog puts his front paws in his water dish when its empty and pushes it around, then runs out to see if I heard! :rotfl2:)
