I'm here, marita (you know a B sighting would bring me out. ;) )

I hab a cold in ma nose.
achoo.

Nothing much going on here.

I got an A in both classes this semester. yay!
I'm taking a break this summer since I'm so broke.

I might work on a Microsoft certification instead.

I'm watching Lawrence Welk. You KNOW I'm sick.
:headache:

Aww, Cel, sending you some chicken soup, hope you feel better.

Great Job Cel! Also on the 100 on your thesis. I didn't get to read all of it yet, but I'm saving it for some light reading. :rotfl: Hope you feel better.

Nab: Looks like you should be having a beautiful day today.

DH and I went to the Tigers game last night. Extra innings, they pulled through in the bottom on the 12th. Yawn. I tired! We had a nice date night. Don't get too many of those:goodvibes

Headed to church, and then I have to attend a meeting about the new faith formation program. Looks like its now family style.

Have a great day!

I've had a busy day so far. I had a 7:30 AA meeting, an 8:30 small group meeting and 9:45 worship.
I'm thinking about volunteering for the 2 year old Sunday school class. That's my favorite age!

Got some dishes done, now I'm eating a wonderful lunch the breadman cooked - pork chops and gravy, baked potato and brussel sprouts.

and my cold is yucky!

Amanda - I love Ellie's dress with the birds on it. it's adorable!

monie - you don't have to read the paper - unless it's to sleep by.

Hi to everyone else!

Okey......I am busted......I did facebook before you guys........I am busted for sure........
I am exhuasted and will be going to bed soon......Doing Disney is hard work..

sooooooo

We ate at Crystal Palace for dinner on Monday, Tuesday we did Donalds Breakfast at AK, Wednesday was the Luau and Thursday was Princess breakfast at Norway.......all were wonderful......Thursday and Friday were very humid to us.
We got a notice on our table at Port Orleans that a bear had been seen in the area.....so to be careful and dont leave food outside or something like that.....we were amazed......our grandson who is 5 read the paper and naturally his anxiety level was high after......
We had a great time.
Port Orleans FQ has a lousy food court. The main meals are the same every night......Pot roast, chicken, jambalaya, pork chop I think .....so boring....I think that All Star Movies has the best food court of all the places we have stayed at. Pop Century is second......Riverside is third and the Dolphin is fourth and poor FQ is last......but FQ had the slide for the kiddos and the hot tub for dear hubby.
Oh we watched Chubby Checker on Friday night because I had to.......he is an excellent performer and still does pretty darn good ..
Glad I am home and sleeping in my own bed.

Night all

Welcome back, Pumba!!! Hope you had an awesome trip :)

Nabbie - Hope your partying is over and everything went splendidly so you can relax now :thumbsup2

Marita - Looks like your DS can really rustle up some delish food when he has a mind to! That ought to help catch him a nice girlfriend!!! My DD tells me that her boyfriend grills pretty often on the weekends.

MommyP - Ellie is as adorable as ever! :cutie:

Cel - Hope you're feeling better. Goog to have you back here, but I see you over there often enough that I wasn't really missing you, hee hee.

Thanks all for the nice comments on my photos over yonder! I had fun at the Biggest Loser 10 event in Detroit today. I kind of went on the spur of the moment. I couldn't really sleep last night because I found out last night that a colleague of mine lost her 18-year old daughter in a horrible car accident Friday afternoon, so I got a shower and drove down to Detroit a little after 4 am mostly to take my mind off that. It helped a little during the day, but I'm still very upset for her and her family.

I had some trouble with my cell phone yesterday after installing a software upgrade and ended up having to have my phone replaced because it would not re-boot. The version of FB on the new phone makes it super easy to upload mobile photos now but I lost a bunch of my contacts and all of my calendar items. Guess I have to learn how to sync my phone once I get things put back on so I don't lose them again in the future.

Pumba, I heard about the bears, I guess they live in the woods in around the Treehouses and feel quite at home there. I heard the relocated one a while back to the Ocala woods, but didnt really catch if they planned the same with these. I think its a family of 4, mom, dad, young female and teenager, LOL They are apparently pretty tame and no real thread (just don't feed them!)

Sounds like you had a good vacation!

Moo, yay for your outing, but what a sad reason! These things just make me sick. The paper publishes the names of the killed troops each week, and I just have to skip past that as soon possible, it kills me just thinking about it.

Hubby's cleaning out the garage turned up 2 beautiful porcelain serving dishes from Germany. rimmed in 24 Kt gold with roses painted on them. one round one and one oblong one. Must be from my SIL, whose name is Rose, and she has impeccable taste! I don't even remember having them  Seems the only thing you can serve on rose plates is desserts?:confused3

After my fascinating observation of trash divers, I decided to take another look around myself (NOT in the garbage bags). But hubby put out perfectly good plastic storage bins as well. I rescued 3 gold braclets, and PICTURES and some of Nicole's school certificates. Plus when it started to look like rain, I put a suitcase under the roof overhang to keep dry. I tell you, Hubby is ruthless! Oh, and I rescued my couch throw blanket that I bought just before xmas that was just hanging out innocently by the washer waiting to be washed

I need a vacation far far way! Just staying at home isn't working out so well!
I sent an email to the boss asking to revoke my vacation day since I ended up working a full day, plus saturday, we shall see how that goes...

morning everyone...

GOT up showered, dressed, put Megara out, trash is out by the curb and I am waiting for my AVA.......I was asked if I needed a few days to get my self relaxed and I said HECK NO.......I need an Ava fix. We got her a cute little Pooh Bear, Megara got one of those soft fluffy stuffies...hers is a Pluto, Jacob got a Pirates of the Caribbean tee. The rest got coffee containers, and tees....and Candy....Oh I love to shop for others.....

I am glad that the bears will be okey in the woods or relocated elsewhere....Not that I have ever bagged a bear. Just moose, deer, partridge and squirrels......Some day I will get me a "bear"...with my trusty 44...
Have a great day and I missed you all...

Yes Mony we had beauitful weather yesterday. Was very thankful because I could have people outside as well as in. The kids were so happy and giddy it was fun to watch. We did miss Grandma and Grandpa. My MIL is still not well but at home and goes to the doctor today. Just that trip will wipe her out.

But now I am tired....I told hubby I wasn't going to do anything today. I straightened and cleaned up after everyone left so that it done too.

Marita-- your son is all grown up, he looks like your husband in that picture.

Pumba-- sounds like you had a great time. I love shopping and bringing home things for others too. And I did miss your morning posts.

Celery-- you should volunteer , kids are so much fun when they are little like that. Hope your cold gets better soon. How are the flood areas doing? Saw pictures of the Grand ole Opry. So sad. We took my mom there one summer.

Awwww. A math reference. But what is this new/old business venture? Are you the guy behind the doomsday condos here on the prairie (west of misery)????????

wanted to let everyone else know that new/old business venture is very busy and no time to mess around on computer. Ever since they added an extra floor to the parking garage, I just can't get a day off! i'll be back some day. you can count on it?

bdg

Are you questioning our ability to count? That's not very nice, now is it?

However, since I am still the nicest person EVAH, I will now gIFt you with SOme rAndOM caPITalIzaTion, for old times' sake.

You're welcome.

Sup, Moovers? Time is marching on. Marching toward the end of the school year (can I get an amen?). Toward the end of organized extracurriculars and endless school projects. Ya-to-the-HOO!

And my trip is fast approaching too! Double YAY! I got a fantastic DING fare for our return trip from Orlando. Still waiting for a DING our outbound flight. If you've got fingers you can afford to cross for us, I'd be much obliged! ;)

How's stuff, y'all? popcorn::

Hi B,

Does being busy at work mean you are going to buy a new car with heated AND A/C seats? I know Cel would love you to be back, LOL.

Lynt, YAY for vacation and upcoming trip. :thumbsup2

Had another dumpster (trash diver) early this this morning, and this one kind of bothered me, he opened up every bag and went digging deep down. I felt sort of intrusive! But luckily trash pickup was today, so its all gone, won't have to worry about that anymore.

DS will be here in a month! :cool1: I will be deep in DVC budgets, but he is a leaving for a cruise a couple of days later and then will be home for a few days after, so hopefully I can take a couple of days then.

Work has been crazy last week, but slowed down today, until tonight when I got home. What's up with that??????? At least the boss accepted the revocation of my vacation day from last Friday, so that's good.

Better get some dinner, I think some beany weenies and texas toast are on my menu tonight. :rolleyes1

Tomorrow is lunch with knitfreak and Asst.#2 , fingers crossed!

We got a notice on our table at Port Orleans that a bear had been seen in the area.....so to be careful and dont leave food outside or something like that.....we were amazed...

A bear! Crazy!

I really liked all star music. Loved the buildings and the food court and the movie at the pool.

I came home early from work. I hate how a cold makes you feel dumb. It took me forever to get anything done.
I'm not sure if I'll go to work tomorrow or not.

the dis is being really slow. combine that with my cold addled brain and I'm not posting very well.
NAB - the flooded areas are good, I think. I haven't been to those parts of town in a week or so.
Things are coming along for my friend Pat - her and her son both have already gotten checks from FEMA.
I don't know what everyone in New Orleans was complaining about - the response from FEMA here has been great. :confused3

and being in the volunteer state helps - lots of people are helping each other out.

B - the boy friend is still the same - a moldy old breadman. :) Still not my boyfriend, just a boy who is a friend.
so I'm going memorial day weekend to a nerd cookout to hopefully meet other men.
since these "men" all play minesweeper from their mom's basement, my chances should be good.
:woohoo:
I've been enticing them with my world of warcraft skills before I head in for the cookout kill.

I hope twinks reads that. It was half for her.

hi big L! Hi marita! Hi moo (prayers sent for your coworker)!

time for some non alcoholic nyquil.

Celery-- good to here your friend is getting help.

Nicholas went on a field trip today with school. It was a career awareness workshop. He said he learned how to take out dents out of cars, use chopsticks, make pins and something else I can't remember. Anyway when he got off the bus the teacher said would you like to see what Nicholas learned today....I though oh no this can't be good. She gave me a little note book they all got there. The pages were full of girls numbers.... :sad2:
