I just had a couple high carb days with NO exercise (due to going to the visitation and funeral for my friend's daughter - very stressful) but am pretty much back on track today. And I went to the kettlebell workout tonight. So much fun! I'm signing up for the six-week class that starts in June. It really does help to find some form of exercise that you really like.

Marita - My hubby goes bonkers when our power goes off. Too bad you couldn't reach your son. I usually just get on-line using my batphone when we lose power or read a book by flashlight!

Moo, Yay for vacation so soon, color me green with envy!

We had a celebration at lunch today for the 15th anniversary of the California Grill for the cast. 2 VPs and Mickey himself showed up and gave speeches (well, not Mickey).
Then we had a fabulous lunch they had set at stations around a ballroom in the Convention Center. Great presentations, like tiny salmon pieces with vegetable caviar (whatever that is?) on little silver spoons with curved handles stuck in slots around a silver tree shaped thingy. and desserts in shotglasses, and pulled chicken with caramlized onions on a peace of toast, then infuse with smoke from a machine and covered by a martini glass to keep it in for a while, yummy!

Just as I was thinking I was starting to make a dent into my work backlog, another task was waiting for me when I got home I'm leaving work tomorow at 4, that's it! I'm not sitting in the office till 5 on a Friday, I can work from my couch. That being said, I am certainly much happier with my job these days. LOL.

I need to clean my house this weekend and do some laundry.

today the sun is out again.....makes it worth while getting up and seeing this.....Oh heck any day getting out of bed is good......

Today is FRIDAY......hipp hipp hurray.....tonight we will go to BJ's and walmart and get coffee, coffee filters (this cmaker does not do well with the gold filters), splenda...pistachios...

Hey Marita....how come Disney got rid of Splenda....I guess next visit to the house of the mouse will have to take my own pkts.......I used half of a pkt of sugar instead.....I only use it in my coffee and on my cereal...

Yesterday was my sisters birthday.....so we are now officially the same age for eleven days......I used to hate it when we were kids. but now who cares....just another number.......hahaha

Just waiting on Ava now.....sipping my coffee and enjoying the sunbeam ...

Another nice day here and suppose to be nice for the long weekend too. To bad hubby has to work nightshift for the whole thing.

Hannah's birthday party is tongiht at Build a Bear but we are having dinner at McDonalds first. Seven 10 old girls shouldn't be a problem. Nicholas is going to be my helper since hubby is working. She sure is excited since this is her frist friend birthday party, it has only been family up to now.

Moo-- Glad you found something you like. I remember Danny from last years BL saying he never wanted to see another kettle bell again. He hated them.

Mommy P-- Hope you have a stress free weekend. on your 15 pounds.

Pumba-- I hated sharing my birthday with my brother, it is on the same day only we are two years apart.

Well, I had the best intentions of going to work today, but I was dead this morning, just couldn't make it, so I called in.

Slowly returning to the living now, so I am trying to do a bit of work from home. Just feel guilty 'cause nobody is in the office.

Cel, an extra special birthday wish for you! Hope you are feeling better cause you are not supposed to be sick on your birthday.

We extended our stay from Aug 22-28th. Still driving. Did I mention that its over 2000 miles round trip? No? Well I just did.

I was bored, so I cut the back grass and the part that is behind our yard that no one takes care of but us, but the association behind me keeps saying its theirs and to move my fence. The grass was 2 feet high. I guess they weren't coming to cut it, again. We've been cutting it and taking care of the trees for the last 10 years. I think it should be ours and that goes for the neighbor next to me. They do the same.

AAACKKK! Work is crazy!!!!!!!!!

Got a call this afternoon from work today at home on my sick day about emergency info director needed for a mtg. with 2 VP's. It's never ending.
New girl is being replaced by another new girl who has no clue about DVC, which is complicated (did I mention I hate DVC?) We have another opening and 2 new people starting on Monday are totally new to Resorts, so they are more than clueless just in time for forecast and annual budget.Overall 7 people in new jobs and one opening

Fun just isn't ending.... Just cancelled my vacation day I had planned for Friday (not that I probably wouldn't end up working anyway). No hope till August now for a few days away, sniff!

Moo, can I hide in your suitcase? Please?

oh Marita ...it does not seem fair to you or to the new people....How about you call new girl.."whats her face" ...I used to do that when I referred to someone at the assisted living home where my mil was..it was a worker not a resident.

So we just went to BJ's and Home Depot and then to Walmart. Got important stuff like coffee, filters, birthday cards, anniversary cards..flowers for up north for cemeterys.....we are going for a two and a half hour drive up and then to three different cemeteries and then visit his cousin and then another two and a half drive back......we try to do this for "MIL" as she was always concerned that her mother have flowers for Memorial Day ...so off to tend to this for her.

We are also planning another family gathering this summer.......we didnt do it last summer for some reason ....cant remember what....but we are already in the making plans stage for the first Saturday in August....I love to do this for my MIL even though she is gone now.....she loved a party.....to keep the family all together....probably 50 people ....some people are not talking to some others so they wont come so wont even think of them...would be nice for them to bury the fight and come on down for food.

SOOOOOOO cleaning is going to be put off until Sunday and then WHATS HIS NAME CAN HELP......hahaha..

Nabbie - I don't remember Danny saying that about kettlebells!!! Maybe because they made the guys use the really heavy ones? Hope Hannah's party went great

Marita - It really sounds like you could use a vacation! My hubby informs me that I need to leave my humongous suitcase at home and take the smaller one plus a tote bag so it'll be easier to fit them in the trunk, so I probably won't be able to fit you in!!!!! Good thing I don't need to pack any sweatshirts, etc.

My 5yr old has been doing nothing but loafing since see came home from school yesterday. She even asked if she could go to bed?????? No real identifying symptoms, she "just don't feel good". I'm just gonna push the fluids and let her rest as much as she wants to.

Maddy has dance this morning and I have a baby shower. Looks gloomy out, and we got none of the rain they were forcasting yesterday. Weather alerts kept going across the tv screen last night, but it must have stayed south of us.

We rented The Blind Side last night, I thought it was a great movie.

I am dragging my back side.......we took the new car (now it has 760 miles) went to four cemeteries and put the fake flowers on them....because one is out in the middle of the boonies ....there are still people who go into the boonies to honor their deceased relatives.....these are hubbies grandmother and great grand parents on both maternal and paternal sides....So now we have three cemeteries to do this week with real flowers.....I feel good that we are doing this for hubbies mom as she would of wanted these to continue......she was a good MIL.....

So then we get in the driveway and our neighbors are waiting for us and asked where have we been ..why didnt we tell someone ......hahaha....and then asked if we wanted to do a pit fire and marshmellows......heck NO......I am to pooped to pop.......350 miles will be a drop in the bucket when we drive to our Southern house at the end of this year......but this tired me out...

Hope your little girl is okey......never right to have a kid ask to go night night or just veg......nope not normal.....but sleep is good and so are liquids..keep us posted and give her a piggy hug

I went to the art festival in East Lansing today. What a difference compared to last year! I was able to walk around the whole thing this year. Last year I used a cane and was only able to see about half before I pooped out. Not only that, I went to the pool and worked out for 45 minutes before I went to the art festival I picked up a few items for gifts and bought a pendant for a necklace, a necklace "tree", and a pottery berry bowl for myself. If vacation weren't right around the corner, I probably would have done a lot more damage, LOL!

Mony - We usually fly Airtran out of Bishop when we go to WDW. I prefer to get the non-stop flight both ways, but that doesn't always work out. The parking is pretty easy there too. We'll be driving down to Hilton Head. My hubby's looking forward to our first long trip in his new-ish car. He says he wants to drive to Florida next time. Bleah!

Pumba - Sounds like you christened your new car well! I think I'll probably go visit the cemetery tomorrow before I get my hair cut to see if my uncles put any flowers out yet and I'll buy some flowers to plant after my haircut. I'm going to try getting my hair colored tomorrow too. As you say, the full pre-vacation restoration!!! I'll be doing some packing tomorrow night. w00t!

I slept in till noon today, again, and then took a nap for an hour at 6 or 7 pm . I'll probably stay up till 2am again, LOL. .

At least I got some laundry done tonight (still in the dryer) Maybe I can fit my workclothes in tonight so I don't have to worry about that tomorrow.

Finally got around to doing some detailed expense forecasts. I had been really worried since we have been overspending, but I think we will be ok by the end of the year with a few $ to spare Been really stressing over this. Plus director asked for an update by Friday, so boss wants to review by Wednesday, so I am happy I got this done. While not a totally fun job, it was fulfilling in its own way with a good outcome. Just have to do a summary now and look it over one more time tomorrow.

I have "The Dish" gossip update on TV now, Wanda Sykes and SNL later. Maybe I'll make a Pumba cheese cake tonight too...

Today was a great day!

Went to church, and it didn't fall down.
Signed up for a bunch of stuff, for stewardship.

Bought my plants for the garden and put them in the garden!

Did a few hours of psychology. I thought I was signing up for brain and behavior psych, but its more like biology. whew!

Actually had two meals at the dinner table with the whole family today!

So, indeed, it was a goog day!

I slept in today, worked most of the afternoon, and made some tacos, yummy! Now I am ready for a nap! But I still have work clothes to wash and hang and hair to roll. Maybe I can squeeze in a short nap just leaning back on the couch before I do that?? Work is just crazy!

cooked out and had eleven people for supper......our neighbors came too and we had hotdogs, hamburgers, chinese sausage, regular sausage and chips and dips and shrimp macaroni salad.....and peanut butter cookies
