I think you dd looks like you. I have a few picture of kids in laundry baskets too. Riding in them , taking clean clothes out when they were babies , hiding under them playing hide and seek etc.

Good luck getting up that early. I will only be getting up at 7:30 to get Nicholas to church by 8:30 then I will go for 10:30.

Nab, no its not naturally curly, it is naturally confused, not staight and not curly, just sort of a little bent. I can't get anything right! I must have had a perm back then.

Just turned on water to boil for eggs. Cheese cake is NOT happening tonight.

I just started hiding eggs and one is up going to the washroom. This is going to be a long night....

It is very humid in the house too. This is weird weather for April. We broke a lot of records with this weather.

Well I am going to hide eggs in the basement since I know they won't come downstairs. Then the middle floor then a few in their rooms if they are actually sleeping. If not they will be out in the hall and down the stairs....

Nab, I am NOT baking. The eggs are cooked (8?) and sitting in coloring bath, i'm on second round. I have 3 of those covers that slide over and stick with hot water and some stickers.

I made an Easter basket (grocery bag) for DD: 2 rolls of TP, a can of baked beans, a container of fresh strawberries, 3 peanut butter eggs (which she will hate me for since she is on a diet), 2 cans of soup and 3 colored eggs. That gilr likes egg whites, but not yolkes, go figure She didnt get that from anyone in the family.

Anyone want to take bets if I get up at 4:30 tomorrow?

Loved seeing your photos, Marita!

We went out to dinner at a sushi place this evening, then to the theater to see Hot Tub Time Machine. It was OK. We also rented The Blindside and watched that after we got home. It was a nice relaxing evening!

I'm "cooking" late too . . . just put the pot roast and vegetables in the crock pot. I'll make mashed potatoes tomorrow because the last time I put them in the crock pot they soaked up all the broth and were too dark looking. I'm going to make some beer bread to go with it instead of rolls.

I think I'll call to see if my sister can come over a little earlier tomorrow.

Nabbie - I haven't had to hide stuff for Easter for years! I usually hid the Easter basket and just a few plastic eggs filled with candy. Yesterday, I put most everything in a communal basket and set it out on the dining room table. I fixed a small basket and put that in Mari's room too. I've eaten too many of those Cadbury mini eggs

Marita, I loved seeing you and your family and doggie......your 1969 photo is just adorable. ALL of them are adorable. Thanks for sharing those with us...

I used to love coloring eggs with our kids and the older set of grandkids. it was a blast. I always loved the red ones for some reason...

One year instead of hiding the eggs. we did a prize hunt with clues.....they would read the clues and find the prizes. One year they got their bikes instead of their birthdays. One was born in November and the other in February......so this was a good one to get....

I am down to making the turnip, potatoes, ham, and three other veggies and a tossed salad. I have so many veggies that my daughter in law said that she could get all five daily servings of veggies in one meal at my house......I used to laugh and then realized that I just wanted to make sure everyone got a veggie that they would eat......

Marita-- the pictures of you and your hubby are so cute. You were so young when you got married. ( I was only 6 then)

I am so tired.....just about to hide eggs in Hannah's room at 12:30 and she opens her door just as I was She had to go to the bathroom again. I was hiding them in her room because I told her that was the only place she could look until after church when her brother came home. I hid his in his room this morning while he was in the shower. I did not get to bed until almost 2:00. I will be happy and not happy when Hannah doesn't believe in the Easter Bunny then it would make my job easier, but she is too cute with the notes and pictures.

When get home from church I have to get my turkey in the oven. Hubby will sleep all day so it will have lots of time because supper will be late. Then I may take a nap, which is a same because it looks lovely out.

Thought I would share some photos of the Peeps beach scene and pirate ship I made with some work friends for a get-together we had last week. I didn't take these photos so you can't see the bunnies' swimsuits very well, but you'll get the general idea . . . enjoy!

We also played a game where people had to guess what items we covered with chocolate. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be at this function (I took my friend to a doctor's appointment that afternoon), but I heard that they had lots of fun with this!!!

Goog Morning!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. After church we came home had lunch(sandwiches) and went hiking. We took the shortest trail which is about 2 miles, Isaac walked the whole thing. What a trooper. I carried Ellie on my back and then moved her to my front for the more even ground. Last night we had Easter grilled chicken sandwiches.

We have been letting the chickens free range in the late afternoon the last 2 days. They haven't gone far from their coop and they go right back "home" as soon as it gets too late. They LOVE that freedom. lol. The cats are completely used to them being here now. Minnie(a black and white chicken) came head to head nose to beak with Kisses(our mean huntress cat) and Kisses just meowed and then Minnie walked away.

I have FINALLY got Isaac off his Barney obsession. Now he constantly asks for Buzz Lightyear. lol. I am thankful because I was sick and tired of singing along with Barney all the time and I want him to be familiar with something Disney when we go.

Would you believe I didn't get a picture of Ellie in her Easter dress? My camera is broke, now flash. I went the practical route with her dress though, so next time she wears it after I have a camera I'll take a picture.

I finally got to sleep in this morning. The kids are still in bed as a type.

Love having an extra day after Easter.

We are going to go to the church later to see the scouts break a world record of the largest cup of hot chocolate. Think they should have done this in colder weather. The record right now is 85 U.S gallons and there cup is suppose to hold 135 U.S gallons. The cup is suppose be 4 and bit wide and 3 ft tall. Not sure how they are going to heat all that water and keep it hot. They plan on selling a cup of hot chocolate and a hot dog for $2.00 and the money goes to the church food bank.

Hope it doesn't rain either , it was suppose to be sunny today but I think it looks pretty cloudy out there now.

Mommy P-- sounds like you had a fun day with the kids. I still have a talking Bareny in the basement that my sister gave Nicholas when he was small.

Moo-- The peeps ship was cute, my kids don't like them and I am not even sure I have ever had one myself. So how long is Mari and her boyfriend staying or are they gone already?

I can see using the PEEPS for something "other" then eating ...these are cute what they look like.......I hate peeps...YUCK....my kids hate peeps and I think my two oldest grandkids hate peeps......so if we are part of the US people that hate peeps ...How do they stay in business????

Yesterday was a long day.....had 11 for supper and enjoyed the mad house.....its the only way to celebrate anything at all......granddaughter and her beau came in from college and they joined us too....so I made a chocolate cake with icing real fast as I didnt know if they strawberry shortcake would be enough for everyone.....SO naturally I have to finish the cake now.....hahaha...

Went to Rite Aid phamacy store and got some candy.. I know but it was half price.....I got a white chocolate bunny for .50 cents and a bag of chocolate malted speckled eggs for .50 cents....I love a good deal even if I shouldnt eat candy.......

today was another great day and we went walking for a good hour and a half .......Ava is now sleeping like Megara is too......Meg is tired from yesterdays activities....

Glad the Easter Bunny was able to buy one box of cookies......good going EB

Nabbie and Pumba - I don't eat Peeps either! It was fun playing with them, but they sure are sticky. Apparently, a lot of people who do eat them let them get hard first.
