Lil G - I still think that you should be able to book your own DVC stay just fine. Frankly, the MK view isn't all that it's cracked up to be because, unless you're on a high floor, you also have a view of the parking lot. Next time we stay at BLT, I will request the Bay Lake or standard view and "pay" less points. I think you can actually see the MK from some of those rooms.

Nabbie - Sorry to hear that Nicholas is being so contrary! But remember, even though Marita has a thoughtful son, her DD can be a pistol a lot of the time

Pumba - Have you had any luck figuring out how to play more games in Toy Story Mania?

Here are some things I have learned:

You HAVE to go through the story board to open up the free play, but once you have done that you can pick and choose which games you wish to play. Once you have earned tickets/points on these games, you can go into the prize section and use the points to make the games in which you have achieved the objectives available to play. Once a bunch of games are available, you can go into "Build" and select the "stamps" with the robot arm to make a string of your favorite games to play one after the other, thereby avoiding the dreaded Teacups game! Goog luck!

I still haven't played any of the 3-D games yet -- maybe will do that this weekend.

Pumba, your Beef Stew soup story reminded me of a similar thing. I made a recipe for Ragout of Beef some years ago, but I made it in the pressure cooker, which preserved a lot of the liquid. Presto, a favorite soup was born! I should make that soon, havent made it in ages...

week..to do it for real. whew! i think the biggest worry.....
is doing something for the first time. i remember crt..it took
us 3 days...before figuring what everyone was doing.

now can you imagine...what i'll be wishing for ? ,seeing all those
fireworks, from our bedroom?

Is it still cold there? We are suppose to be at 3 by this afternoon and calling for rain tomorrow with temps still up. Hope they are right. Need the rain to get rid of the dirty snow that is here.

Lil'g -- glad everything worked out for you. Remember you said you have to make your own happiness and magic there. You don't need pins, or a guide for that.

It is hubby's day off today and he is making me go look at trucks with him today. Not my kind of fun but at least we get to spend some time together and if it gets us another car I am all for it.

Wow quiet day.

I just found out that my SIL was in a car accident today. Know one let me know, I had to see the pictures on Facebook. Thank goodness she was ok. She was t-boned going though a traffic light. Someone ran a red.

I hate being out of the loop, they just assume someone else told me. I called my mom.

Sandy-- did you go have fun today?

We didn't find our truck today. If anything he is more confused on what he wants.

Hi Nab, actually, havent made any in a while, I have been on a cheesecake kick. But I am out of cheesecake ingredients (and cheesecake), so if I have the ingredients, I think I will make some tonight.

Have to get something to eat and make coffee for tomorrow, then I will see about banana bread. I also have a box of strawberries in the fridge that DH bought for DD and she hasnt picked up yet. It needs to be used, so I'll cut them up and soak them in some sugar to make syrup. Eat with whipped cream, Yum! Im also thinking of using it for cheesecake topping...

Marita........I cant believe that there is another cheesecake addict in the crowd......I love it though....I bought a white cake mix......but I do a no no thing....I really love to lick it up...ROFL....but if I make it I will eat it..ORRRRRR I can make some tapioca pudding......have plenty of milk and the egg lady is coming tomorrow......

Moo thanks for the tips on Toy Story Mania game.....I love that stupid game and WE love the ride as much...

I do have a box mix of banana bread and also another one of date bread......tomorrow is a cooking day ... and do laundry too....Kitchen is almost tip top shape....

City put up signs for no parking on the streets......THAT usually means they are going to remove the dang snow.....and THAT MEANS no sleep tonight......every time a plow would go by Megara will let us know...

Yep found some magic!! THE SUN shone and it got WARM!!!

Got to MK late - it was crowded, but we had FP and it was WARM out!!

watched the 3pm parade - and wore my medal - the mean stepmother told me congratulations - but I really needed to stop gloating!! bwahhahaahahahaa! That was so funny - the Fairy Godmother threw pixie confetti at me!!

Ate at California Grill - love that place!! They gave us a free glass of champagne, and a free slice of chocolate chocolate cake!! caught the last bus from MK to BCV - it was just us on the bus!!

got back to the room and DD said "mom, you must've really scared housekeeping!"

(in my vent I mentioned how frustrated after 7 days no trash and towel service, the garbage was so full, and we had no empty bags - I had called Housekeeping and got an "oh well" response, so I called the front desk! "you have to realize we ran the marathon, the towels are starting to smell - I cant take the garbage out, because NO BAGS" so we got bags, and they took out 7 bags of trash!! and was assured we'd get our full housekeeping in the morning...

so today when they knocked on the door "how many towels do you need" I was not a happy person!! I grabbed all the dang towels that were musty smelling and dumped them in the hall - she said it wasnt on her list to clean our room... I apologized to her, and said I'd call, but after 7 days this was ridiculous, but I know its not her fault...

so I called. OMG. well, a mention of blood on the pillowcase and my dh was sick on Sunday got us an "ok" for full cleaning no charge today!! (to be fair it was one dot of blood, but I wouldnt want the next member to sleep on that pillow if I wouldnt!) and by golly I wash my sheets at home once a week!

well we got a towel animal (an elephant) a toothbrush holder - fans in all the towel holders... dd took a "tour" of the studio - but the best part?

IT SMELLS GREAT!! I should've asked for them to spray the room Monday!!

I feel bad about you getting lousy housekeeping service at my former place, so sorry! I know that is NOT the intention of management for sure.

Sandy-- yay for a better smelling room and warmer weather. It is warmer here today, was even raining this morning.

Marita-- I had to go check the calendar to see why you have a holiday on Monday. So you all have a long weekend? That will be nice.

Hubby had me out looking at trucks again today. He took me for a test drive yesterday in one and he finally bought it today..... We get it next week. Told him he should have bought it at the begininng of the week so I didn't have to get up early tomorrow morning to take him to work. The kids have activities all weekend so I need the car.

I remember when we bought our first truck and he called the dealership and asked if they had one in green and four x four and this and that and they said yes and he said get it ready I am coming to get it......and he did.....I didnt need to help him.
This last truck we the collective WE had to go and look together.....same type of truck with four doors.....and plenty of room for our four wheelers.....well one at a time....

We got some sleep last night....maybe three or so hours.....they finished picking up the snow about 3:30.....My eyes are heavy but will wait until I go to bed......

My neighbors called me and asked me to go out for lunch with them....so I did.nice time and then home again...

He just wanted me to see what he had in mind. I told him don't take me for a test drive if your not going to buy it. I also told him he could have did all this paper work himself. I guess it is better then him just coming home with a very expensive truck with all the bells and whistles. I was there to say do we really need that..... Didn't get to pick the colour it is silver. Trucks are really had to come by now it seems. This one is also a diesel and is 3/4 ton instead of 1/2 ton to pull the trailer.

I am tired today too....Hannah was up a few time last night with bad dreams. Then the cat decide he wanted me to get up at 4:00 , 6:30 didn't bother anyone else but me.

Pumba -- it has been nice here too. Had a t-shirt under my winter coat today and wasn't cold. No mittens either. Mind you I bought a pair of Olympic red mittens tonight at the mall. They are really hard to get but they had just come in so Hannah and I got a pair. They have a white maple leaf on the palm of the mitten and Olympic Vancouver 2010 on the top side. Heavy knit ones too.

Got curtains for my basement too. I guess I should have bought a lottery ticket tonight since it has been a good day....

Sandy -- I believe you are tired... You are coming home but hopefully you will come home to the mild weather we are having.

Nicholas is still a pain. Told us tonight he is not paying his cell phone bill because we made him get a hair cut. I told him I compromised and let him keep it on the long side but got it out of his eyes. Also told him I would march him right back in there and get a brush cut if he keeps this up. Said we can't say, sorry we don't like our hair cuts so we won't pay our bills either.
