Thanks Moo. Just got the kids to bed.

They were ready too. Full day of fun. Nicholas worked one of the craft tents at the museum even though he was suppose too or should I say didn't have too. He knew how to make a old fashion toy called a buzz saw. The lady at the tent that volunteered just couldn't get it so Nicholas show the kids. He was a hit. But the number one reason he was there the whole day......can you guess?

A girl of course. At he table beside him was a grade 9 girl working for her volunteer hours for high school. She is also now his friend on FB. :sad2:

It was cool again today windy, but warm in the sun. Suppose to get humid by the weekend.

I think a lot of people took off work tomorrow for 4 day weekend. Pretty quiet in the neighbourhood.

Pass 1 of budget is turned in, HOORAYY!!:cool1:

I can breath a lot easier this weekend. I see a pedicure in my near future :)

hey remember Nab....ancester wrote O canada......My next door neighbor rug rat, he plays hockey at the Collisee, and he sings that and the American national anthem at the hockey games too....I love the sound of it being sung....

Meg woke me up early to EAT.......brat....no kids for 11 days....yippee..I can do what I want when I want and sit in my jammies if I want......tomorrow though, Megara has to go for her thyroid blood test. SUnday is the family fourth picnic at my nieces house......have to make the seven layer taco dip.....YUMMY with green stuff on top......guacomole..I love it...sooo I guess I will start my vacation on MONDAY.....hahaha.

Hope you all have a great weekend ...whether it is the fourth of july in the US or Canada Day .......hugs to you all

I read back. For reals.

Nab: to answer your question from way back...yes, I was actually headed to work when I posted at like 2 a.m. Sometimes I will work a 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. shift. Definitely not my favorite.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy fourth of July (even you Canadians. lol)

Eclipse left me a little disappointed. But it was good. I guess my favorite is New Moon.

Maybe I just like reading the books and the images I see in my head better.:rolleyes1

Still and forever a Jacob fan.

Taking my girls and the two daycare gremlins to the splash park later. Should be fun, for them. There's a pool there with a water slide and the boys can hang out there.

We set the tent up the the yard yesterday. We are having one of those staycations this weekend. TR to follow! LOL!

Happy 4th and Canada Day to me friends. Hope it is a great weekend for you all.

Babynurse -- is that a new ticker? Or did I just miss it. I do not know how nightshift people including my hubby stay up all night.

Marita--:woohoo: relax , chill this weekend.

So do you people just get the Sunday off for the 4th or do you get the Monday as well since it lands on a Sunday. That is what happens here if it lands on a weekend. Otherwise we only get the one day.

I get Monday off. Woo!
:cool1:
Which is good because I'll probably be at work until 6 pm tonight since it's month end.

Oh well.
Happy 4th to all!

Hey BBN snuck in that ticker on us, congrats!

I'm tired of my kids complaining there's nothing to do, I take them to swim and a splash park, and they swim for 30 mins max and then they sit and complain they are bored.

I only have monday off because all my daycare parents have monday off, otherwise I was planing to be open.

monica.......I too "see" books in a different way ...I can see it and smell it and feel it almost ......then I see a movie and it doesnt thrill me as much.....its cause we have such a good imagination......gotta love a good book...
I was bookless and my neighbor brought over this book for me to read .....and I said Wait a sec.......I dont do vampires.....she said OH YOU WILL....read all of them in a week and a half....didnt have any kids then........I need to reread them as I dont plan (probably) to go to the movies to see them......weird I know..

I have ten more days of kidless.....so will enjoy the days of not answering to Auntie Ree Ree......or gramma....she likes to say that word too.

did all the laundry today and tomorrow is megara;s thyroid test......see you later gators

Slept like I slept in a tent last night, cause I did sleep in the tent last night. ;)

That's ok, the kids loved it

Check is being put in the mail. Still going to WDW!!!!!!!!!

Talk about close calls. I really didin't think this was going to happen.

BTW, may sister just came back from WDW, last Saturday and said there was a day or two they broke 100 degress.

Gots to make some breakfast, have a good one.

YAY Mony, great news about your trip!!! And yes, Florida summers are HOTT! (and not in a good way...)

I actually woke up at 9am today, on a Saturday! :scared1: Read the paper, now I am dabbling a little with work, but nothing I HAVE to do, just trying to catch up on some things and getting ahead on forecast stuff. Pedicure this afternoon.

Germany is playing Argentina in soccer right now, and Germany is ahead 1-0 at halftime :yay: I'm flipping channels. Those darn horns they are always blowing are sooo annoying!!
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Germany won 4:0!!! YAY!!!!!!! GO GERMANY!!!

Yes Marita Germany won , we are in the big city this weekend. And when we came out of the Eaton's Center in Toronto the cars were honking and people were running down the street with the Germany flag. First thing my son said is Germany won a game. Asked him how he know ....the flag of course. I did not know that it was your flag Marita....

Hubby and Nicholas are at the Iron Maiden concert so Hannah and I are checking out the hotel and found the business center. She is playing a dress up game and I am checking my sites.

Was very hot here today. I have a headache from it I think so I will have to hunt down a vending machine or store close by.

We went shopping , found the TV station that we watch our morning show and the Much Music building, saw City Hall and old City hall. Funny how we live an hour away but don't site see ourselves. Hubby saw all these sites since he went to University here. The rest of us were tourist today.

NAB, yay for playing tourist!

Germany is playing Spain next, and my SIL (wife of nephew) is from Spain, so I might have to offer a wager on that game with her.

I got a pedicure this afternoon and made liver and onions for dinner, and DD came over to eat it (yes, I know unusual, but my kids love it).

Dabbled just a bit with work, and took a nap this afternoon. Feels so good to finally not feel all this pressure to work.

Still have to clean up the kitchen though, don't want to wake up to dirty dishes tomorrow. Guess I will do that now, Wanda Sykes is on, followed by SNL.

Hope I sleep in til at least 10 tomorrow for a change.

I've been to Toronto probably five or six times and I remember shopping at the Eaton Center three different times. Ah memories.

Tim took the boys and Mal to the movies to see the last Airbender, Maddy and I went shopping and cooked dinner. Then we hung with the neighbors around the fire. I also cut Mal's hair today. It is all one length and so cute. It made her look older. No more shaggy dog look. I probably cut off five or six inches.

Happy 4th to all!

Do it, Mony! We'll all read it, I'm sure.

Slept in till 11:30 today :cloud9: Nothing planned, nothing i HAVE to do today.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

I don't have much planned today either, Marita. Went and got my hair cut and did a little shopping, but it's pretty hot here this afternoon. May go to the beach tomorrow when I can get an earlier start. Just reading a book this afternoon. I rode my bike 11 miles on the river trail yesterday afternoon, but it was quite a bit cooler.

bbn - CONGRATS on your upcoming trip!!!

Nabbie - Sounds like a fun weekend. I went to Eaton Centre while in Toronto with some girlfriends a few years ago. Fun place to shop.

Mony - So glad to hear that your trip in ON! :) We are thinking about going up to Mackinac next weekend. We'll just stay one night in the city and go to the island for the day.

hello out there in ( wherever you are land)

Today we went to my nieces home for her to host the 4th BbQ...good thing we all brought food or else it would of been hamburgers and hotdogs and chips....and of course home made crank ice cream....delicious.....

The heat and humidity ...UNBELIEVABLE.......hot hot hot......we could hardly wait for the ac to crank on in the car when we left......

Yesterday got the sedative for the dog so she wont be crazed when the fireworks start.....she is so scared.......my poor baby...but we only gave her a half of a pill..

A friend of ours ..her husband passed this weekend ....that is the benefit we went to a few months ago......sad when someone so young dies.....he was in his 40's.....very sad for all...

bil went to tampa and visited his dil and they took a ride to our place.....they took alot of photos and we should see them soon...they did find out that the lawn was a foot tall.....I doubt that the lawn grew that much in a week? I did call him and left a message......there has to be some explanation to this......cause no way in you know where is he going to get another 125.00 for nothing.....

wonder how long this pill takes to react with my poor baby Meg.......will come back later and let you know...
Hugs to you all my friends:grouphug:

Pumba, grass growing a foot a week in FL is entirely possible! It's incredible in the summer.

Just woke up from a nap a little while ago and now I'm watching a Disney special on TV. Fireworks are going off all around me.

DS called today. He had duty this weekend, and the plumbing backed up. Not such great thing................ He said he needed to take a shower, because he probably smelled like poo....

I might make a Pumba cheese cake in little while.

We had a fantastic time at a friend's house. Incredible fireworks, super hospitality. Wow! I know them through Mal's preschool and dance studio. What great people is all I have to say. The kids got to swim and that they did, the entire evening.

Hope you all were able to enjoy this wonderful holiday.

Trying to go over some study material. How nice of the prof to schedule an exam following a holiday weekend.

Pumba, we had a black lab that totally freaked out every 4th of July, if we didn't take her with us, we'd find her roaming the streets from jumping through one of our screens.

Enjoy Mackinaw Cheryl.

Marita glad you got some rest.
