The rain last night bring humid weather...yuck

We got both off to school this morning. Nicholas was dragging behind but got there. I think all the kids were in hurray to get to school today, I left at my normal time and I saw kids I usually see on my way home now going. I'm sure these two days are all about socializing.

Now what to do with these last two days I have by myself.....

Weather is yuckety here too. Hot and sticky, I did turn the air on today. My kids have been out of school for 2 weeks. Do you have more required days than we do?

I guess I didnt post this morning.....it was pouring out and I had to put the trash to the curb and let poor Megara out...so I stood there with an umbrella and then unzipped clouds drenched poor doggie.....I toweled her off when we got in the house.

it is still yucky outside but humid......geesh...
Ava came this morning uglyyyyyyyyyyyy.....so hope she sleeps a good two hours....guess she didnt take any naps when they were at the ocean cottage.

Mony-- we have to have 194 days in. We wouldn't have these two days if we went back before Labour Day this year. Only year this has happened and parents said they would be still away so the school board let us go after.

Sun is shining so I guess we are playing ball tonight.... extra water going to be needed I think.

No Wendy it has not been the same in a long time. Everyone post more over there or have a busy life.

We played the baseball team from heck. First it rained just before we played so the outfield was so wet. Then the other team swear at our team and told us we play dirty and that the boys didn't touch bases but the umpire said we were safe. I tell you it was terrible to watch the other parents came after the kids. One parent had to be held back from one our kids at the end. Unbelievable. We just wanted to get out of there fast before a fight broke out. We did win but of course we didn't do it fairly. The score was 13 -7 . So it wasn't that close. Coach called to see if Nicholas ok when we got home because he knew they were upset. Said he is going to ask we don't play this team again since we are scheduled too.

One more day of school or should say socializing ....since there desks are empty.

Oh yeah Nicholas report card not great but not as bad as I thought it would be. Hannah is my A girl which of course rubs Nicholas the wrong way. I will be glad when this day ends....

Busy day today and went to water aerobics with my sisters tonight. Got my car back. Yay!

Sigh, the days just don't seem right not knowing if you are going on your WDW trip or not. Kinda puts a sour note in my mood.

Kids all still sleeping. Even the one dropped off at 7am. Fell right to sleep on the couch. She is snoring away!

I don't have my early classes anymore, just one today at 12:50pm.

Mal has her first show tonight. The rehersals went well.

Glad you can be lured in Wendy. We all miss you!

Nab I just don't get parents these days. I never remember my parents being that "in your face" about my sports or any other parent for that matter. I remember the days I rode my bike to my own practices and games.

Nab..it is so unfair for kids to be put thru so much for the sake of a game. I hope that the coach can say we will not play that team again.....Not Fair..

It is overcast and feels like RAIN.....did we get some from Canada (as my daddy always said)...

Last night we got more party needed items for August. We get some of the things every week until the party date ..that way only have to buy the food food food food stuff......I love a party...

So napkins, tablecloth, invitations (to remind people of the date), soda, PLENTY of soda and pickles and olivers....see we are almost ahead of the game....I mean party.....we still have to get a few cases of Poland Spring Water..yes Mainers are particular.....

One more hour and school is out for summer!

Hubby took me to the casino today....It was very busy because they things going on for 50+ which isn't us. We came out of there $60.00 richer then went to Costco and lunch and now we are poorer then we started.

The weather is nice , not hot but pretty windy. I will send the weather down to you Pumba.

Mony-- glad you haven't canceled your trip yet. But I hear you on the not knowing.

Hubby keeps changing our so I have know idea when or where we are going this summer. He really wanted to go to California and Disneyland but he is still crunching numbers and times due to baseball and Nichols job at the church.

What a nice cool day today Went for a bike ride on the river trail after work and it was great.

Well I kind of slept in....the kids were up really early even earlier then they would have to be up for school. Guess that means they don't want to miss any of summer vacation. I'm sure that will wear off. So I laid in bed for about a half hour longer and got up too.

Beautiful day here to hang out wash. The wind is really blowing, just like yesterday. Moo it cooled right down last night too.

Mony -- How did Mal's first dance show go....I love watching little ones dance. Hannah was only in dance one year she didn't like it so she went to gymnastics.

Moo-- Glad you got your car back. I hate being with out one.

Marita-- hope your spending time with the kids and not working like a mad woman still. When does your son go back?

Hi all!

Nab, still working like a mad woman here. Hopefully the end is in sight for a few days, first pass at budgets for next year is due by tomorrow night, then I get to relax for a few days before another forecast next week, Monday and Tuesday night, then I should have a fairly regular schedule for a while for a change (I hope).

My son left Tuesday morning.

Just had a frozen bean and cheddar for dinner. Well, it was food, at least!

Dance Marathon is over! Phew! They didn't allow video taping and flash photography so I did not get much of anything last night. Take my word, Mal did great in her Bluebird routine, but then she was awesome in her You and Me Together routine. I'm thinking jazz is gonna be her thing. She can't wait until she is old enough for Hip Hop.

In other news.....the garden is producing! I picked yellow beans, broccoli, and lettuce yesterday. I have tomatoes, cucumers and peppers sprouting and my zuchinni is over the 3 foot fence and starting to run on the grass. Just like I planned.

BFF and I are going to see Eclipse tonight, but first we have to stop at a pub for a few, much needed beers, and giryl talk!

HAPPY CANADA DAY !!!!

We are off to picnic, eat cake and play games to be followed by fireworks tonight. Hannah's Girl Guide troop gets to sing O Canada at 12:00 before they cut the cake. Pretty excited about that. They were asked because we are still celebrating 100 years of Guiding.

Mony - Wish I were close enough to take a little excess garden stuff off your hands!!! I have been getting to the local farmer's market lately to get some Michigan strawberries. Yum. I'll definitely visit the farmer's market when the tomatoes are ready if my cousin doesn't have any extra!

I'm also going to try to see Eclipse soon.

Not much news here. I'm SO looking forward to the long weekend though. I'm taking my friend to a doctor's appointment in Ann Arbor tomorrow, so hopefully we'll get to do some shopping or some other side trip afterward. Glad to have gotten my car back quickly.

I went to weightlifting last night and kettlebell class tonight. Ouch! Feeling kind of whipped. Hope to be able to get some bikeriding in this weekend.
