Heading to the beach with the family. They have a pool with slides for the boys and a splash zone for the girls. Then of course there is the beach, but for many years they seem to close them do to ecoli contamination, so not sure how comfortable I am to let them swim in Lake St. Clair.

Got picnic type stuff to enjoy the beautiful day!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend too.

..hey moo! thanks for letting us share in your wonderful
vacation! [ did i ever tell you how mus=ch i like cows, ]

...i am sure everyone saw those poor cows getting abuse.,,

as you know, we're always busy, & sick people are everywhere.

..fyi, my first feeling, "thought-less & by his reactions....confusion,
sooo my guess he already knows life by abuse. what a terrible
out look toward life.

i think we can learn some very basic social skills from our pets.
all anyone has to do , is fed & pet, & your a loyal, kind, defender
for life. [ we have 4 dogs...and just watching their social interacting
is also revealing.....our jack's is a different [calmer] animal when the
the other 2 are @ the groomer.

well are you tired of my lecturing. i really hope you are enjoying
the reflecting....and the "ways" our unit works. our world is so
misunderstood...but also....do you all read the other posters?..
if so, then you know many could really benefit reading here ..
in all the lil' things that can make a big difference in finding
happiness.

ok ? some disney news?....ever watch that old westerner called
gunfighter? it has g. peck? :rolleyes1, very, very disney person
was also in it.....noooooooooo , moo ! not grandma walton!

[ every time , i see her...it bring back memories of the way i used \
to get my kids to mind...., i used to threaten to send them
to her.....,boy! did that scared 'um! ]

...talkin bout the rounded grandmother type? listen to her voice,
& you will also hear the main fairy from sleeping beauty. in fact,
if you look a lil' closer......one can imagined where they got the
idea for her shape, :rolleyes1

did you see where a disney employee arrested for inside trading.

i know there's like 50,000 employees....& i know some of the things
we have come across with dvc, is not disney like. something is
very wrong with this rent fella and his disney connections. & other
stuff, like the wait list being manipulative by payoffs. there
seem to be little policing of the rules. however, it has been
amazing what a person can learn just by reading the boards.

Couldn't ask for better weather!

Busy day for us like others.

Our priest was celebrating 10 years today so they had a luncheon for him and entertainment after mass. I love socializing with the church folk and everyone knows the kids because they serve.

Moo-- love the pics you have been posting of your trip. You and Mr Moo look really good. Sounds like you are having a blast.

Pumba -- what a fun thing to collect. We don't even have a sugar bowl. Well I must have one that came with my good set of dishes but they don't come out very often. Corelle all the way for us too.

Mony-- hope you remember the sunscreen. Got to love family time at the beach.

Lil'g --:wave2:

LilG, WDW alone has 59,000 employees, counting ABC, ESPN, Movies and whatever else, it's over 100,000. Bound to find a bad apple in the bunch once in a while. At any rate, it seems she was under the spell of a really stupid boyfriend.

DD just sent me an IM on facebook, springing this on me:

"You need to stop smoking, I might move back home in a couple of months" :faint:

Seems her friend and her hubby who she has rented acouple of rooms from for the past 2 years are moving back to her mom's. She is exploring moving into another friends house with that friend's mom, if not, she is coming home.

Still in a bit of shock about it. In a way I am looking forward if she does, in another, not so much. :rolleyes1 Guess just have to wait and see how things play out.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PUMBA!!!!!

party::drinking1:jumping1::cake::cheer2:

Hope you have a great one and all your wishes come true!

Happy Birthday Pumba! Wow, you have lots going on this weekend.

Trying to focus on the house today. It gets trashed faster that I can clean it.

Not feeling too hot today, just girl stuff.

Have a good one!

Today woke up and came out to the living room and hubby plays "its your birthday real loud" on the computer .....then he made our usual breakfast of eggs and bacon and toast....(I do the toast) ..he already had the coffee made...
When we got married.....on the 27th I was 18 and turned 19...4 days later....yah we married and I was young...he was 20 and turned 21 in September.....Mil had her birthday the day before we got married......and then there is Mothers day to boot...May is one busy month for us...three nieces birthdays, one nephew...my sister and her husbands anniversary and also both their birthdays.....alot of stuff for sure....then Memorial day always.

We smelled the smoke from the Canadian fire....then the wind changed ..I remember a few years back when there was a big Canada fire .......it was bad up north and down here in Maine too....Feel bad for anyone having lost acres of forests and homes......

/
Pumba-- that was pretty you to be married. Marita was you too. I was 27 the first time and 31 the second time round. Sounds like your having a good birthday. Sorry about all the smoke.

Mother/Daughter banquet tonight for Hannah's Guides. Pot luck but since I don't cook well I made a lot of chocolate chip cookies this afternoon. It seemed like Christmas all over again only this time it was only one type.

posting from chads phone. we are about 30 min from home. it was a good trip except chads phantom tooth pain. he has been it pain and cranky the whole trip. other than that w had fun. don't thonk we will take that long of a trip with the kids again. lol. and never again during such a busy time, holy cow it was so busy the last 2 days.

wooooo hoooooooooooooo ...I got a wii fit plus...whatever the heck that is.....will look inside the box tomorrow......also my daughter got me the most beautiful long stem pink roses....I mean they are just gorgeous.....made me sniffle.......the wii for my birthday, the flowers for Mothers Day because we were in Disney...then Barnes and noble gift certificate for Birthday ...and gc for our favorite restaurant and GC to buy stuff for the new place in florida...those were from both of our kids and their families.....
KT gave INDY back to me......it was her beta that she got over a year and a half ago and I took care of him from March break til going to Disney and she took him home and then she said I could take care of him forever.....I dreamt about this fish......that they would get me one and voila there is INDY back with me...

oh Mommyp....does Chad have allergies??? One time hubbies allergies (he didnt know he had them) well he had a sore throat and it went into his ear and the ear into his jaw bones which made his teeth hurt.....just a thought.:confused3

:cheer2::yay::woohoo:Happy Birthday Pumba! :banana:

Sorry to be so late. Sounds like you had a nice day.

I went to work today from 9-1, which is really with travel time 8-2, and did some work, but not nearly what I wanted to. I think I am burning out, not a good time for that right at budget time, LOL.

I suggested to DS today that he take fhe fam out to V&A's for dinner to celebrate his $800/month raise he gets in August. He told me I was out of my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE NOIVE!!! I even offered to split the bill! (hubby would probably tell me i'm out of my mind too, LOL)

I'm tired!

Boo hoo, we're on our way back to BC. We had a very relaxing stay at Hilton Head though. I would definitely go back there again. We liked the resort so much that we decided not to go to Savannah for the day. Wish we had gone to the beach a bit more, but the pools were nice too. We went for a swim this morning before packing up and a rain shower passed through while we were on the pool. That was kind of cool!

Nabbie - I only used my cell phone to take photos. Just didn't feel like dragging much stuff around with me.

Happy Birthday, Pumba!!!

MommyP, sorry to hear about Chad being in pain. I'm sure it was busy everywhere due to the holiday weekend. Things got busier at Hilton Head too.

Moo -- safe travels home!

Mommy P -- not fun being sick or in pain on vacation. Hope he is feeling better.

Marita-- yay on your son getting a raise. Just tell them your out of your mind because of all the working your doing.

I should be getting stuff ready for the garage sale they have every year in the neighbourhood but I can't get motivated. Plus they are calling for rain all weekend. I'm sure I will kick into gear at the last minute. Hubby has to work so that doesn't help my nind set of having to set up on my own. I would have to put Nicholas to work.

Back on the road again, driving through the mountains. Pretty, but tough on my nerves. Urg.

Chad had a dry socket. He went back to the dentist yesterday and they packed it and it feels better now. It ruined the trip for him(and me) so we'll just have to go again. (without kids. LOL)

Oh my gosh, they had to poop a million times. We could never get through a sit down meal without Chad having to take them. But never all at the same time. AHHHHHHHHHHH.

It was fun though, besides the pooping. They were really good. No complaints about being tired, they all walked except Isaac and Ellie and we never lost anyone for more than a couple seconds. LOL.

Mommy p-- glad Chad is feeling better, nothing worse then a tooth ache. I hear you on the bathroom thing. Hannah does this to me all the time, out food would come and she would have to go. Can't imagine doing it 5 times during dinner though.

It is nice out right now but calling for thunder storms off and on until Sunday. But they called for rain last night too and didn't see any either.

Anyone know how to get bug spray out of your hair. They sprayed Hannah's at camp on the weekend then she went swimming. It feels really sticky. I tried Neutrogena shampoo but it isn't working either.

Nab: It didn't wash out? Are you kidding? Are you sure its bug spray? That doesn't seem right.

At any moment its about to storm! Monday's storm was incredible. They say its a repeat today.

Maddy keeps running up to me to tell me, "Mom, raining gain!"

That last storm brought some major thunder and lightening which scared her.

Safe travels Moo. Looks and sounds like you had a great time.

MP: I know what you mean about the bathroom. We can't take the kids anywhere without one or all of them having to take a dump somewhere. For one, it's Lowes. We have a running joke there......

About to go back to the community boards, for got how brutal those folk can be. Cover me.......

I'm pretty sure it is Off bug spray that did it. I even asked if she sat under a tree , maybe it was tree sap....:lmao: It has been washed at least four times now and still feels terrible. She has swimming lessons again tonight too so I wonder what that will do to it. Told last night that we will have to cut it off if we can't fix it

Good luck on the CB are you starting a thread?

Happy Belated Birthday Pumba!:bday:

How are you Moovers and Shakers? I am doing pretty goog. We took the kids to the Indy 500 on Sunday. I got some pics of Jewel, Ty Murray, Ron Perlman, Tim Daly, and most importantly JACK NICHOLSON. :cool2:

Later as Caleb and I were heading to our seats (a few minutes before the race started) two golf carts came flying up from behind honking and driving very speedily! I said to Caleb "I bet there is a VIP on that golf cart. Look at the way they are honking and driving"

We jumped out of the way just as they passed and Jack Nicholson was in the second cart. I said "Hi Jack!" and he waved. lol He was on his way to wave the green flag to start the race.

That's my news here. Everything else is same old, same old. Baseball, sports camps, and babynursing. Today is the last day of school. Caleb starts drivers ed on Monday. TWO TEEN DRIVERS!!!!:scared1:
