Marita - I don't know anyone personally who has used one of those electronic cigarettes, but in the video I watched, the woman seemed to be pretty happy that she could use that while at work.

My big news today is that I went to look at bicycles again at our local shop and ended up buying one! It's a little rainy here today, but I may go out for a short ride. I need to acquire a bike rack soon so I can transport it into town where it will be safer to ride. I'm not sure if my old one is around here somewhere, but I would need to have a trailer hitch installed in order to use it, so I may just have to go with a new one.

Ads always make things sound great, so we shall see. It would be nice to have to go outside for a smike breark. Anyway, I ordered one today, $20, so not too bad.

I emailed DD about it and said I was not optimistic, mint flavor. She said "please, please try, I am moving to germany soon, dont you want out last few months together to be good between us?!?!?

Went to get a haircut today, and took a left turn when I should have gone straight. SO as I was driving to where I needed to be (wouldnt have been there if I had gone the right way the first time), a man motioned to me and said something out the window. His car had a "Dent King" shop sign on it. He said he could fix my hood for cheap. It had a big dent in it, and one side had about a 1" gap, very embarrassing. DS said it would cost thousands to fix, so I never persued it.
ANyway, he fixed it in about 5 minutes for $80 and threwin cleaning my foggy headlights (which I never noticed) for a tip

Whole problem fixed in under 10 minutes for $85, YAY!!

I thiink making the wrong turn was destiny!

I am totally exhausted. But made some money at the yard sale. Looked like rain but the sun came out blazing. Now I have a sun burn...ouch.

Moo-- that is great on the bike. I was looking at getting one this year too. The kids and hubby have one and go riding. I feel left out and I used to love to ride. Borrowed hubby last time , I would definitely get a bigger seat then his.

Marita-- It does sound like you were destined to go the wrong way. Sure sounds like you got a deal.

Now off to order Pizza with some of my hard earned money today....
People really want stuff for nothing these days. I think the dollar stores everyhere did that.

today woke up to thunder at five am......Megara broke two blinds trying to jump the doors.....she finally calmed down and then we got ready for our granddaughters first dance recital.....she is just 4 and was the cutest little fishy ever...we left at intermission (probably lasted another hour and a half)..then we came home and whammo........dark dark clouds and tornado watch at first and then a tornado warning......winds were horrible here and Megara is still pacing....and panting.....and trying to go under my legs as I try to type.

Marita - That sounds like an electronic cigarette. I have read about them a lot in the newspaper since Michigan's no smoking in restaurants/bars/work places law went into effect last month. You put in a nicotine cartridge and you can inhale like a cigarette, but when you exhale, it's water vapor, not smoke, so there is no odor. Once you purchase the system, I believe the cost for the cartridges is similar to the cost of buying cigarettes.

My sister's future BIL has one of those and he said tastes like BEEP but it is satisfying. He's really trying to quit.

I hate hate hate being around smoke, now that I have been smoke free for almost 4 years. Love going out to dinner and my children's hair doesn't smell like BEEP anymore.

Sinus yuck and I feel like BEEP. Tim took the kids to a bday pool party, I've tried to spend this time just studying, but my house keeps calling me and I have done laundry and swept, and picked up clutter and wiped down counters and emptied the sink of dirty dishes.

I have about 160 flash cards made up to study for my Brain and Behavior exam on tuesday. I'm about 50 into it. I can tell you all about synapses and brain anatomy and brain chesmistry, and I've seen enough brains to last me a lifetime!

Just stopped in to take a small break.

I was bored and got a brief notion of working some more, but I thought better of it! Think I'll lood around the CB instead for a bit. I might even go to bed before 2 am on saturday! Sleeping in tomorow to give DH time to read the paper in peace. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

It is pouring out there this morning , glad it wasn't this weather yesterday. Wish it wasn't because I was going to take the kids around to historical places in town. They have open house today at a lot of places. Nicholas wanted to see Camp 30 a war camp then a boys school or vise visa. I too will have to use google this morning to get it straight. Nicholas and his friends tried finding it on there bikes but couldn't last summer. I have a map from the paper...

But before we do that I will have to get us to church.

Sinus yuck still going strong.

Good news is I got rid of a boat load of clothes from the girls room. Offered them up on freecycle and someone in my sub actually was the lucky duck to snag those cute lil' outfits.

I really feel like their room should have looked roomier, but it doesn't.

My vacuum bit the dust, literally and it's in the shop getting a new something and a tune up. Week 2 without it. I'm tired of sweeping my carpets.

Mal got her dance pictures taken this morning. I really didn't even want to get out of bed, and I was so not feeling good that I didn't have her do any individuals. I think I may regret that later. Didn't even take any myself. Her recital is at the end of the month, so I guess I will take some then.

Got 90% of the cards memorized. I'll got over the web sample quizes later and the ones I took and failed later as well.

If I don't ace this exam, I'm gonna have to drop the class.

That will mess soooooo much up.

Yikes, Mony, sounds like not such a great day. I am still having fun with work, trying to get a Powerpoint deck ready for a meetin on Tuesday. This is for a VP meeting that is scheduled for the day before the DVC budget for next year is due . I ended up with over 60 hours last week, and no end in sight! I am sooo tired of it. And every day brings a new emergency!

DD is over and she and DH are washing the dog, he really needs it too

I think I might go take my shower and maybe a nap and then curl my hair after. I bought a bottle of Paul Mitchell stuff for setting hair with hot rollers, hope it works. I need to look picture perfect tomorrow (fat chance!)

OK, shower, here I come....

Today it rained off and on all day......it is horrible...cold, clammy and yucky...

Megara heard the big rain drops on the outside of the ac unit and she freaked out.......this means I am going to call the doctor and get some meds for her.....

We had steak for supper and it was so darn good....hubby went out between downpours to cook it......nice and rare.

Wow no post today, can't have that...

Just got back from a field trip with the kids. We went to an amusement park (Canada's Wonderland) with our church. I had a great bunch of girls that got along great, stayed together , agreed on what rides they wanted to go on. I let them choose everything. Even the weather was so nice.

I am pretty tired though. Nicholas played a guessing type game twice and won twice. He got a basket ball and a penguin. They guessed his age to be 17 Games cost alot to play too. And if he would have guessed his money would have been gone.

Should sleep well tonight.

I missed yesterday for some reason. I was feeling down in the dumps and almost said a few bleeping words......but cant do some of them....

We are hoping that my hubbies brother and his wife will go to our new place in Florida and take photos. They are staying in Tampa visiting our niece and her husband. So they want to take a road trip..(an hour and ten minutes) and see our place. I have to get in touch with the Realtor as they have the keys in a cabinet for people like us. This will be great to have someone see it now as it is empty of the stuff. Tell us what we need to bring with us when we do get to go.

Next week is the moose lottery and then we will know if we can go for three weeks or two weeks to Florida........will find out the 17th of June.....

I guess I will just say see you later gators for today

Finally broke down and went to the Dr's yesterday. I had no day care children, just worked out that way, and I have a sinus infection. Yea Me!


One of the DC children was dropped off this am and the mom said "I finally took him to the Dr. yesterday cause his cough was so bad" (really?, that's what I heard all last week) "and guess what? he has a sinus infection."

Pray that all the facts and figures I have been studying stay with me and make sense when it comes to exam time today. 11:50am. Thanks.

Delta miles are good for nights stay at disney resorts. Who knew?

In case you missed Peej's FB comment, I am going to Florida for a few days next week. She needed someone to drive down with her and then I'll be flying back all by my lonesome. I will be spending a couple of days in WDW first though. I am nervous and excited. I have never left the kiddos or the dh. I already miss them!!


Hope you guys are having a good week. Super busy here with basketball camp, football camp, computer camp, drivers ed, and baseball tournaments. *whew*

I know it's crazy here, but I wouldn't trade those rugrats for the world. kwim?

I'm working on helping a good friend plan a short family trip to WDW. She has been to Disneyland, but has never been to WDW and I don't believe her family has been either. They are only staying three nights at the Dolphin, so it'll be hard for them to get to all the parks, but I think they'll enjoy being close to World Showcase. Her parents are 80+, so I'm trying to pick some attractions that would work well for them and warn her about the ones to avoid

Pumba - That'll be great if you can get some photos of the new place Hope the previous owners left it in great shape.

I was lazy tonight and only worked till 8:30, guess, i,m worn out. No lunch again today, but we had a great cake with choc mousse filling for boss' last staff meeting, so that kind of held me over. No meetings tomorrow except for a conference call, so maybe I can get some actual work done and not work too late tomorrow.

I dont think new girl and I gtting along l too well personality wise, she is very stoic and non-responsive, I am used to have a great and open relationship with my co-workers. But I have to say she has been putting in some long hours, so I can't fault her for that. Have to chase down people tomorrow to sign boss' going away picture, like I have time for that Still no clue who might get that job (and NO, I am NOT wanting it)
