Nope not giving up my chocolate I told her I am giving up chips or any kind junk food at night. Believe me that would be harder then chocolate.

Mommy P-- are you getting chicken for eggs? Are you going to sell the eggs? You will have alot of helpers to keep the coop clean at least.

Ellie is grown up fast. 6 months already!

Wonder how Twinkie is doing, I am sure she has her hands full too.

I am washing and watching the Olympics while I fold. And of course checking on here. What a life I lead. Nothing exciting other then when Nicholas acts up.

Hello, Moovers!

Allie, the woman who shot all those people was from Massachusetts originally. Apparently, she shot and killed her own brother some years back and was NEVER EVEN CHARGED! The then-District Attorney let her go because the woman's mom was some sort of public figure in the city where it happened. Such a disgrace! That former District Attorney was very recently considering a run for Congress, but he's had to back-burner his plans since all this came to light. Initially, once the news got out that the woman had gone on a shooting spree in Alabama, the police in that Massachusetts city could find only ONE piece of paper from the woman's file. Mysteriously, after our local papers made a big stink about that, more of the file was found.

It's awful to think that if the local police had done their jobs all those years ago, those three people would still be alive today. :sad1:

In much lighter news, I have decided that instead of giving something up for Lent, I will commit to working out 4 times per week for an hour. Really, I would rather stick hot pokers in my eyes, but I know it's good for me, so that's that.

MommyP, my BIL and SIL have 10 chickens. My kids love to visit that house because my BIL always gives us at least a dozen eggs to take home. Now Natasha is trying to convince DH that we should get chickens too. Boris, who doesn't eat eggs, just thinks it'd be fun to chase the chickens around the yard.

We got MORE snow yesterday....another 8 inches. I am SO completely done with winter, I tell you. Thankfully, the kids are on February break from school, so the storm didn't really affect them other than giving them the chance to go sledding.

How's everyone been? popcorn::

allie - I know the shootings are hitting you hard. I'm thinking about you!

mommyp - it won't keep me logged in either so I have to go through about three passwords before it lets me in. :lmao:

hi to everyone else! Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I tried to read back last night and got most of it done, but I might have missed something.

Nab - We are mostly getting them for fun. We don't eat a ton of eggs, but as the older boys get old enough to make scrambled eggs I'm sure we will since I'm going broke buying cereal. lol. Or maybe I can haul my sleepy self out of bed before them to make them eggs.

Pumba, great point about you never know.. My BIL went in for a stress test today, and ended up being taking to a hospital in an ambulance, where his heart stopped. Luckily they got it going again and put in heart stents and he should be out by Friday or Saturday.

NAB, face it, you live the life of Riley, eating bon bons and watching TV LOL!

MP, what would you do if a chicken dies of natural causes? Can you still eat it??

Allie, Yikes on the shootings!

And where the heck is Twinkie? Surely she could have found a few moments by now to post :confused3 BBN, any updates?

Been busy with work lately. Today we had a meeting where we got a rundown of the background of the Kouzinna by Cat Cora deal and got to sample some menu items.
I have to host next month's meeting, so I thought we would do the same for The Wave, since we are both pretty new and lacking recognition and traffic. Sent an email to the chef tonight asking about it (have no money to pay for it), but hopefully rivalry will persuade him :rolleyes1

Marita-- Wow , it was probably a good thing it happened to you BIL there instead of at home out of the blue. He got help right away. Not saying it is good to have a heart attack at all though.

Lynette-- good luck on your working out. I should too , really like Marita said I live the life of leisure and have the time. I just don't do it. :sad2:

Mommy P-- Hannah will be 10 in May and she could not reach over the stove either to cook. Now Nicholas is wants to learn how and can make me eggs.

The American's had a great day at the Olympics yesterday. Lots of spills on the ski hill with the women. Shaun White on the snowboard just wow.

Marita - I have no idea if you can eat it, we'll bury it so the cats don't eat it if we just toss it out in the woods.

I actually have not watched even one minute of the Olympics. I hate sports that much. lol. I could watch about 5 minutes of skating before it bored me to death. I do like the gymnastics in the Summer Olympics.

My brother in law has wood pallets he is going to give me so I can use them to make another chicken coop. lol. I think I am going to need a bigger one in the future and the current one would be perfect for my rabbits when I get them.

I LOVE those blue eggs. My egg lady (she is an elderly lady) brings them to me every other Friday. She uses the egg selling to suppliment her income. I feel like if I dont give to charities this is what I can do for her. I also pick up four extra dozen for my neighbor (she pays me) and I give two to my daughter and dil. But those blue ones are the cutest. These chickens are free range chickens. I get some that are huge and some that are weird shaped and they all come with poop on the shells.......I wash those and say to others........remember to wash them before you boil them in the macaroni...
Today I had my Ava. My other niece that cares for her now was not feeling good so she came to spend the day with ME. She was so good..

For lent, I always told the kids to do something for others and to think good thoughts. That was my hardest thing when I was younger. One year I made penance socks (crochet), every time I would say something negative about a person (who I still think negative things about) I would have to make a pair of these slipper socks and donate them to the church.....People sort of laughed at me when I said that........Oh well.....

Hope you all have a great day

Allie - Sending some prayers your way :grouphug:

I haven't been posting the last few days because I was feeling a little blue but I'm feeling better today. Guess I'm ready for spring to be here!

Lynette - Four days a week shouldn't be too bad! That's about what I have been doing pretty consistently. I should be exercising every day but just haven't been able to get my rear in gear for that lately. It helps to have pre-paid, scheduled workouts. OR an exercise buddy. At least that's what works best for me!!! My sister and I went to swim class tonight and we were both pretty beat afterward. I'm thinking about switching to doing more cardio for a while once my strength training contract is up. My favorite trainer just left my workout place to go to work in his home town, which is too far away for me to follow him :sad1:

MommyP - One of my coworkers brings eggs into the office every week. Maybe you could sell them to people you go to church with?

Marita - I'm definitely going to try Kouzinna next time I'm at WDW. Goog luck lining up the Wave chef! I just had an appetizer there but it was delish (crab cake)!!! Glad your BIL is OK.

Nabbie - I need to watch that Shaun White video! I'm looking forward to seeing the women's figure skating.

Moo, sorry about your fave trainer. I don't think 4 days a week of working out will be too bad....let's see if I can actually fit it into my schedule.

Marita, glad your BIL is okay. Work may be keeping you busy, but it seems to me that you're less stressed lately than you were for a while there, no?

MommyP, I haven't watched any of the Olympics either. ZERO interest in sports.

NAB, Boris and Natasha help ME cook, but the only thing either of them makes alone is microwave popcorn or the occasional waffle in the toaster oven. I might feel differently if our stove was electric, but we have a gas stove. Open flame + child = BAD, as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather wait for them to be a bit older.

Twink, if you're reading along: !!!! Hope all the snack cakes are well!

Has anyone heard from Melinda? :confused3

Moo, I got a response from the chef today "He would be delighted to host us" w00t!

Lynt yes, I am less stressed than my old job, but it seems no less busy, but that's fine, I have nothing else to do at home, LOL. Just finished work for tonight. I built a file for a project that all resorts have to do, and someone else did too, and mine WON!!!

OK, figure skating is coming on now, and I still have to get something to eat in between commercials.. I've been paying partial attention so far between working something caught my eye.

what to eat :confused3

Hmm....I'll go out on a limb and suggest somethinAg out of the ordinary for you....how about a Chicago roll with prosciutto and some German cheese? :rotfl: ;)

Great idea, thanks!! I think I will.

HAH! Fooled you, I had a jar of white asparagus in butter sauce :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, since I have to host the Analyst meeting next month, which I dread, I have come up with a few ideas to kill time if we dont have any really work stuff to discuss. What do you think? (A couple of months ago we toured WL COncierge floor and VP Suite and had a boat ride around the lake) I mean really, a lot of us could use the time to do work, but I don't want to just blow it off, lots of people enjoyed that.

So here it is for now, ideas:

• Wave tasting and explanation of menu and wine concept - thanks Chef Frank!
Book Napa or Sonoma room (15th floor Banquet rooms with great views for the general meeting)
• Wave pro forma update review, include research findings this is real work stuff
o Vs Kouzzina
1. Research findings
2. Beverage Sales (Kouzzina much higher, Adult Mix?)

• Major 5YP NBD’s (Chris C.) this is real work stuff
• Round Table Discussion this is real work stuff could be short or long, depending on issues
• Cal Grill tour?
• TOW Tour?
• BLT Tour?

Anything else anyone can think of of general interest at the Cont? I have to fill at least 1.5 hours. Actually, this might come close already with tours of I can get the BLT rooms in March, which is high season. so might be out of luck there, we put guests above cast members touring, dangit!

Morning all,

It was really foggy this morning. What a weird winter we are having.

I usually don't want sports either. :confused3 Maybe because it hosted in Canada and our local station has it on 24/7 and a lot of the events are live. And how could I not watch the Canada win the hockey game last night or watch the men's skating, the Canadian was from around here. I think he made it in 5th place.

Have to go out for groceries today. I really never noticed before how much chocolate we have in the house. Poor Hannah, even the granola bars have chocolate chips. Intead of chocolate chip cookies I will get her arrow root cookies.

Moo -- glad your not blue anymore. I can't wait for spring to get her myself. But you have come a long way on your weight loss which is awsome!!! I am sure you will need new spring and summer clothes.

Moo - A friend of mine raises chickens for the purpose of selling eggs. She doesn't have enough eggs to meet the demand anymore. So that might be an option in the future.

I think I have solved the missing Twinkie mystery. She probably can't get logged in. ;o) She responded to something I posted on FB, so I know she is around.

This whole log in problem is getting annoying. Sometimes it logs me out while I'm typing my response to post.

Nab - That poor girl giving up chocolate. I bet this is the last year she does that. haha

How good is Survivor? I am LOVING it. Funny how Russel is getting his feathers ruffled by Rob. The Heros are all a bunch of losers this time around. lol

I'm not having a easy time finding the types of chickens I want. There is a farm sale in North Port tomorrow, but NP is about 1 1/2+ hours away, so I don't know yet if we'll go all the way up there.

Off to school Yuck.

hello you all..

Just got back from having dinner out and then stopped to get our perscriptions from the pharmacy......I had one and hubby had to get two refilled.......well my new eye drops were the high tier and cost 50 bucks for one month of drops.....One in each eye at night and it doesnt last ......I had another type last year before my eye surgery and it was fine for two years and that is the perferred drug.....so Monday I will get on the phone and ask for that refill.....Xalatan lasted a lot longer and I had to fridge it ......geesh...why do they give you the free samples of what they have on hand and then make you have to take that script when they find out a month later it worked.....well all the drugs I have been on have worked....but not fifty bucks worth......

My rug rat neighbor who is a hockey goalie fell while messing around at the arena today (not on the ice) and he popped out his collar bone......he is in pain my poor little man.....its a wonder he didnt break something major . HE is one good little goalie. Good thing he wears alot of clothes cause he is one skinny runt .....he will be like his daddy......tall and slim...

so whats new.......I know what is new with me......77 days I think.....and I AM counting......hahaha

have a good night everyone...hubby says we will have breakfast meat and blue eggs tomorrow....he makes breakfast on the weekends

Marita - your plan looks good to me! What's TOW? Top of the World lounge?
do they serve food and everything there?

Marita - your plan looks good to me! What's TOW? Top of the World lounge?
do they serve food and everything there?
Yes, Lounge, on top of BLT.

Actually, I have never been there myself and I dont know, I assume it's like a lounge with drinks and light food, Members only, to watch fireworks. Heck, I have never even checked out the pool area over there, either no time or it was too cold.

The only fear I have is that the Chef said they could feature desserts, and Kouzzina did a whole menu sample. Not sure how to approach that yet, but at least it will fill the agenda.

The second to last person timed it to let everyone out at 4:30 (in time to pick up kids, supposedly (haha), too late to return to the office, which is usually miles away for most people . Seems to be popular, they did it at the last meeting too, so I am planning on keeping that strategy.

But truth be told, I HATE that kind of stuff. Give me my own thing to work on, not organize a group agenda!

ETA: Fabulous, just fabulous! Just picked up on my baby blanket that will never see the light of day, and the last 4 rows kept creeping out, so I need to rip them up!

Howdy.
Just got back from a benefit for some people we have not seen in a while. The benefit was because the husband has esophagus cancer and they wanted all the people important in their lives to come. The family is the same as it always was. We were crazy and they are crazy and they truly appreciated us there. It was very sad indeed. Tomorrow they are supposed to fly out to a cancer place in Philadelphia. I think what they are doing now is grasping at straws as the doctors around here have said no hope. Alot of tears and alot of hugs everywhere.
So my friends...hug those who mean something to you and those who you have not seen for a while but still are in contact...reach out and give another hug....life is sure to short ...

I was just uploading pictures for FB of our new chicks, when I realized that even though I talked abotu our coop to you all, you didn';t know we were building one because the pics are on Chad's FB page. Duh! He wanted me to put them there, even though he has absolutely NO friends that I don't also have and I do have friends that he doesnt. So my friends haven't been able to see the coop. So if you to to my FB and friend my DH then you can see his. I will tell him to accept any friend requests from my disney friends. lol. You have to see my hens. I was able to find some Frizzles today. One isn't actually frizzley, but the other is. And they are SOOOOOOOOOO friendly.
