Nabbie - The opening ceremony was pretty awesome, although a little strange at times . . . I thought Nelly Furtado was going to fall wearing those tall shoes, but I liked the Celtic fiddlers and tapdancers a lot! It was cool how much the Native/aboriginal people were included. Were the red mittens the Canadian team wore like the ones you got?

Have fun at your dance tonight! :goodvibes

Hubby and I went to an Amish craft/furniture store this morning and I finally found a mug tree to hang my favorite mugs on since I've been drinking so much tea lately. I also had my blood drawn to check my Vitamin D level. I couldn't take any vitamins for 24 hours and it sure made a difference in my energy level!

Hi all,

Cermonies were really cool last night, but I was so tired, I think I missed a lot of it, LOL, but I have it on tape, do I may relay parts of it.

Hubby went to return a movie and asked it I needed anything from the store. Big Mistake! I had a looong list. So he is out to get grocieries now. I need to start dinner, schnitzel tonight with potatoes and creamed peas. What do you want to bet I will end up throwing out leftover stew from last night? :sad2: We are just not big leftover eaters. But it was good!

I made a big mistake last week by bringing in a laundry basket with freshly cleaned clothes (casual). I meant to fold it but didnt. SO the cat has been loving laying in it all week. Now I have to rewash it all :laundy: :headache:
Well, my own fault!

Better get started on dinner.......

I thought the same thing about all the high heel shoes last night Moo. And the opera lady had some big hair going on.

Yes those are the red mittens Hannah, Nicholas and I have. Nicholas got the hat the Canadian's were wearing too.

Trying to get people moving so we can be ready in time it is dinner too. I don't have cook tonight either. :woohoo: To bad Nicholas isn't old enough to drive so both of us could drink tonight. :lmao:

my vitamin D level was LOWWWWWWWWWWWWW.........so I had to do alot of units for one whole month and then cut it back to calcium with D and then a thousand units of D too......then it went up when I had a retest four months later.......I understand they said alot of Northerners are more apt to be deficient in this...cause we dont see the sun or feel it........SO they say no sun and to use sun block and then they say we need it........okey which is it.??
have a good night everyone....

Still on my hubbys computer....earlier I was on the dump and run computer......he said to use his.......he is fixing mine though

Pumba, I have to take Vitame D3 too. You would think I don't need it with Florida sun, but I do. 4 pills a day.

Made cheese cake and Ghirardelli Fugde brownies are in the oven .

And they are donr and cooling now

it's a good thing my lil' cutie pie is keeping an eye on me, :sail:

or... i ask all the princess: 's here, to be my valentine,

dwats, all those commitments, ;)

....psst, i don't know how long i am going to be allowed here.

....in reference to the dis boards' new sponser. hint, hint, we
are going to lock horns. [ i been doing a lil'fishing on the dvc
sites....& it pretty darn evident...where our problem source is.

reality orientation & lil'thinking ...can bring to light. talk about a
racket! it interesting once you get a lil'close, how fast some
will wag their finger @ you, making vale threats, ....& then
starts the defensive responses...in layman terms, the "bull".

but if you read....noticed....no denial of what they are doing. see?
they are trying to redirect by using distractions.

the thing is....the most important issue is, discovering exactly
what is [ or who-:rolleyes1 ].......the problem. now the solutions
are very easy for disney to do.

nothing like putting "your mind to work, :yay:" .

thanks for listening,,,,,& if i ever disappear ...it isn't because i don't like
it here.....rather..me living up to my lil'cutie title, yo know?..lil'something?

 . also for allowing me to lecture..."which i love to do!"....

but i didn't make up life 's rules....[ i am not that smart..not even close]

...however, i can never say....or express.. or proclaim...how well they
can produce....the desire outcomes~:thumbsup2

yes..backie,,disney is going to hear from me! ha, we got alot $$$
in this crazy investment...& you can bet....i am going to give
my input....on the rule breakers, :wizard: ..maybe i don't bounce
like tigger [ well, i am getting oldddder] , but you know i just love
using...my noddle... for thinking?

wow! mp....if you're asking me..that torture...having to watch all
those kiddies..they should give you an ap!

oh, i think i forget....moo? they got some really great.."blue/chippers".
..oh, not to brag..but it was a fact...i told my son...purdue was going
to beat osu, right before the game.

:sad2:...when are well going to take...a lil'time, to learn the basics
in mental health..to prevent all these lost of life! prayers! disneygirl,
alabama sure has had it rough lately.

baby nurse?...forget to mentioned, the nurse that retired..recently,
her sister nephew by marriage....was the winner of "survivor" a few
years ago....isn't that wild?

later gators...& pumba, :santa: [ well we still got snow on the ground..
did you all see the big ten network ....special @ the badgers? the kids
@ the dorm..had their tree still up..not that "we"..do...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!

We had a great time at the dance last night. It was really a family night. Not to much romance when two kids want to dance with you. Hannah wanted to dance slow songs with me....once we got her on the floor that is. Did get a few in with hubby but both Nicholas and Hannah interupted to talk to us or Hannah stayed and danced with us.:lmao: They had a door prize and Hannah won one. It was a huge flower arrangement. There were only three kids there. Nicholas , Hannah and one other girl Hannah's age so they got a lot of attention from everyone. Saw the priest in a whole new way. They were so funny. Especially our new one that just came.

Well better get ready for church. Didn't get in until after 1 should be fun getting them up.

Hope everyone has a great day!!! If I could I would send you all chocolate and flowers. Love to all my friends.

hubby is still on my computer trying to fix it. May not be the hard drive but either the Mother board or something else ....beats me all these things......I am just tired of not having my own mouse.........I am particular with my little ball that only needs my fingers to move and manuver......geesh......but he is trying hard to fix it up......may have to order the mother board ........we get hard drives and put them away for emergencies .....so we always have two or so hanging around when they are on sale.

I am making chicken caccitore for supper.....I love it...YUMMY....but would rather have some cherry cheesecake or blueberry cheesecake........yah I could do that instead of sugar free jello with some whipped cream that sprays out of a can and I can scare Megara with it.......I tried to give her some one day and omg I scared her to death......oh well...2 carbs per squirt......hahaha..

Happy Valentine;s day to you all......got the two little gkids McDonalds gift certificates instead of stuffies that they dont need or candy .....

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, EVERYONE!!!

Hope you're all having a fun and relaxing Sunday. It's a "stay in my PJs" day for me, I think

Nabbie - Glad you had fun at your dance  I used to love watching my mom dance. She could really move.

Lil G - Any luck on your waitlist yet? If not, it'll probably take a while because they don't get cancellations until closer to the travel date.

Sandy - If you're around, wishing you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Pumba - I LOLed about your whipped cream squirting scaring Megara! Our puppies don't know what to make of it, but one of our (now deceased) dogs used to always come running into the kitchen when he heard that noise. And I would have to squirt some out for him or he would pout!!! He could usually catch it in midair.

two days down and hubby is saying a few red purple words........he is not happy, well......he did say that I would be getting a new computer now.....he got a new one a few months ago......usually he can fix it up and that is why we have a few others for the rug rats when they come over. left over parts.

We had the chicken caccitore and our DIL and two rug rats came for supper.......Now they didnt want any sauce or any chicken.....just plain ol' spaghetti with cheese on it....and bisquits and then a valentine cake that we (rug rats and moi) made..I made homemade icing and I take out my big jug of vanilla that we made....vodka and vanilla beans....set it in the cupboard and six weeks or so later we have homemade vanilla.......this one is only 80 proof.....but it is some good I can tell you that...

have a good night everyone

Happy Presidents Day! I LOVE Monday holidays :goodvibes

We set out to go to a movie yesterday afternoon, but the theater parking lot was packed, so we just got a couple Redbox movies and went to Sam's Club instead. I warmed up some chili when we got home.

I'm off to meet a friend for lunch and my class reunion committee is meeting tonight. Should be a fun day.

Pumba - Sounds like you had a nice dinner. Sorry about the computer troubles. Hope your hubby can fix yours up or you can get a new one. Go for a laptop next time!

We have a holiday here too! It is called Family Day. Fairly new holiday this may be the third one?

Hubby has to work tonight though. And he worked last night so he will get the big bucks for working a holiday.:lmao: Kids are off doing their thing. Hannah is actually cleaning her room. :confused3 She was at a sleep over last night.

I need to scrub the kitchen floor sometime today because the floor people are coming to fix one tile in the kitchen that is defective tomorrow. Fun, fun on a holiday meant to be about family.

Moo-- have fun going out for lunch. We love going to Sam's club or Costco just to look around. Usually spend to much there too.

hey......hubby put my AIM on his computer until I get mine back....he would not have this in a million years on his own.....hahaha....I get to talk to my sister and my sister in law on IM or I could pick up the phone and talk in person.....oh well.
My friend is on a cruise right now and she used her facebook to tell everyone she is COLD.....can you imagine being in the caribbean and being cold.....at least it is away from home and someone else is cleaning and cooking for you......

Hubby ordered my computer.......now it will be here when it is here......NEWEGG is usually fast in their deliveries....hope so....

I am glad that at least I could get on here and report back to you all what is going on..

SO now lets make some supper.......what to do and what to make......decisions decisions

Pumba. yay for a new computer!

Moo, yay for a holiday - none here :headache: PLanning meeting sounds like fun.

Nab, yay for family day

I got home tonight to find the lightbulb in my hallogen lamp in the living room burned out! SO I have on 5 other lights that are around, but I can barelysee my keyboard, GRRR.

I havent eaten anything all day, so I am gretting ready to do that. Plus I forgot to take the fudge brownies I made this weekend! They are packed in a box and bag next to my purse, hope they don't melt or spoil by tomorrow morning.
Going to be COLD again the rest of the week, what's up with that? I don't have enough warm clothes to carry me through an entire week!

I got home a bit late tonight due to having to stop for wine and cigarettes at 2 seperate places. Now I have to stop tomorrow to get light bulbs! This sitting in semi-darkness drives me nuts!

Well, have a good night!

hello everyone...
I just checked and my puter will be here THURSDAY.....YIPPEE........then it will be a few more hours for hubby to install all of my other junk.....I am very happy......I dont like hubbies keyboard or the seat or the mouse.....I am a one mouse person I guess.....his is not as bad as the mouse I had to use on the rug rats computer the other day.....that thing you had to move around and I didnt know what the heck I was doing....I like a ball......no movement necessary.....just fingers.
We are in for a snow thing today. HOpefully it will stay in the 3-6 catergory they are saying.....last night it was supposed to be in the six to ten....but they changed the predictions.......fine with me.....Cause tomorrow going to see granddaughter up north with my daughter.....she is a good driver so I am not worried.....
Just had a peanut butter banana sandwich (half of it) so I should be okey until snack time at threeish.....My niece had a bad weekend she said. SHe ate alot of cereal and milk......I wish she could make some better choices....but I cant be with her twenty four seven....she gets bored and eats...OY OY OY......

hope you all have a splendid day and do what you all need to do ....

Oh yah a Mainer won a snowboard gold medal .....he did last winter olympics in the same category.....we have quite a few Mainers competing...

HAPPY BELATED VALENTINE'S MOOVERS!!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful day with your Valentine's.

I'm sure most of you have seen our story on your local and national news by now. We had another shooting in town on Friday. It was at our local university. :confused3 It happened one week, almost the same time, from the shooting that killed that poor 14 year old boy. In fact his funeral was at noon on Friday and the shooting happened around 4:00. I'm having trouble dealing with all of this. This kind of thing just doesn't happen in our community. Now after all the information coming out about this professor, it is making me question the safety of our universities. This is especially troubling to me since my son will be going off to college in a year.

Lil'G - it just doesn't make any sense to me. :confused3:sad1:

it is really sad, deaths that are so unreal that we dont even think about it until it happens.
At our granddaughters college, last year a student fell down the stairs at a private residence and died from being left there. a few weeks ago a female student was a victim of a hit and run.....she was dead when she was found. so sad.....I keep telling gd to make sure she walks in a group when going to her dorm in the dark......she is an RA so she keeps telling the kids to walk in groups or pairs.
We are going to see her today so will be off the computer the rest of the day.

Have a great day everyone

Allie-- I can't imagine what your town is going though.

I haven't been around much because I have been caught up in the Olympics. Love to watch the skating and yesterday I watched the women's snowboarding and the hockey game with the kdis. They were cheering away.

Today is Ash Wednesday so I have to go to church tonight. Hannah told me she is giving up chocolate and wants me to join her. This after we just bought some clearance Valentine's candy.

We did have pancakes last night for shrove Tuesday.

It has been kind of mild out these last few days. Trying to snow too. But I can't complain since we only had to shovel twice so far. My neice in WDW this week so I hope it isn't as cold as Marita says.

Nab - So are you going to give up chocolate? You will be a basketcase by the end of lent. ;o)

Our chicken coop is almost done. We just have to attach to gate to the posts and cover it with chicken wire, plus dig a ditch under the gate and fill it in with broken pieces of concrete and dirt to discourage dogs from digging in. Hopefully Saturday we can get our feed and chickens. We are getting Plymouth Rock hens and a rooster and either some Araucanas, Ameraucanas or the mutt breed "easter eggers". Those 3 types lay green and blue eggs. I would also like a few Frizzles. But I don't know when or where yet we'll be able to get the Frizzles or the Araucanas and Ameraucanas. If I have to order baby chicks offline I will. I don't know if anyone locally is selling those breeds.

Ellie had her 6 month check up yesterday. She was 15lbs and some ounces, I can't remember and 26 3/4in long. She has 2 teeth now. The Dr. said she had a little infection in one of her ears, which she had NO symptoms of, so I am not going to give her the antibiotics unless she starts to seem like she has an infection. I don't like giving antibiotics for just anything. Especially this young.

Anyone else having issues with staying logged in? It's starting to tick me off.
