Nabbie - They arrived around 11:30 and we had some ice cream and stayed up a couple hours visiting. I had a hard time sleeping, but it's all good!

Moo, yay for Mari and David being home safe and sound.

Hubby and I were glued to the Casey trial all day today. Fascinating stuff. Im still watching Nancy Grace, Lol, I'm sick. My pc is acting funny, very delayed reaction, I dont like it. Thank God I have tomorrow off.

So what are you all doing for your 4th of July?

Marita-- Have been watching the trial too. Now they are on Verdict watch, even with a jury clock. I don't think they will be out long.

It is really hot here the last few days so I have been in. Need to start getting ready for our vacation time next week.

Still heard fireworks again last night. Hopefully that will be the end of them since they go off when I am already in bed.

Trying to get the kids to pick up today. My house is starting to get out of hand with them home. Nicholas with his games every where and Hannah with crafts, papers, and toys spread out in different rooms.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Hope everyone's having a great holiday! We went to the Gilmore Car Museum today, which is closer to home, instead of going to Greenfield Village/Henry Ford Museum. Lovely day for it -- there was a fair amount of walking outside between the various buildings. We just had takeout Chinese food for dinner. Yummm!

Heading "Up North" for a couple nights tomorrow. Hope this beautiful weather holds. We were thinking about doing a little wine touring today, but hubby didn't want to drive that far, so hopefully we'll be able to fit some in over the next few days.

We're going to shoot off a few fireworks tonight (to pay back the neighbors who were setting them off so late last night)!!! Hope THEY have to work tomorrow

Well hubby is on holidays now for the rest of the month.

Now we have to get the trailer ready this week to leave next week sometime. I believe we are going to do the lower states we have not been too like New Orleans, and bottom of Texas maybe. He is still working on it I think. I just get in the truck and go.

Moo-- how nice of you to have your fireworks done early. It is hard to do these days since it says light out so long now. I'm not complaining. We had baseball last night and there was not lights but played until 9 with no problem.

Better get ready for the day...question is how long should I let the rest sleep. I wake up at the same time everyday and only stay in bed maybe another hour. I need to stay up longer I guess like they do watching movies.

House is clean and ready for paint...inside that is...Furnace man is coming today to the new house and look it over...

A great USA group of people are very upset with the verdict on that piece of work....
A lawyer posted someplace..
That even though she was found NOT GUILTY...she is still not innocent....if that makes any sense....everyone knows she did it but the amount of evidence that could not be used in the court made it so they only could use the evidence provided........she wont be a happy person in this lifetime...Not many people will be trusting a child murderer...

I was surprised on that verdict too. Have been watching the coverage before and after. Crazy. The proscuter is on the View right now.

Pumba-- sounds like your new house is coming along. Is your present one up for sale now? When do you think you will move in?

Back home - had a great trip and lovely weather, but it went by WAY too fast!!! Relaxing day planned for tomorrow

It was beautiful last night for the ball game. Not cold or hot. Wish it could be like that all the time. Today it is already really hot and I will spend it cleaning the trailier up for holidays. Should lose a few pounds doing that today....

I think we will be leaving on Monday but hubby really doesn't give me a date yet. He is torn because Nicholas really wanted to go see Harry Potter at midnight on July 15th. But that would mean we would waste a week of holidays at home when when we could be traveling.

Well better get out there again. Have been out there since 8:45 but the neighbour came over to chat with hubby so I came in to get cool and wake up the kids.

Very relaxing day for me! Made breakfast for us, watched a little TV, and read most of the afternoon. I was plannng to call in to a work meeting this morning, but ended up blowing that off Hubby, DD and her BF went out to my FIL's little cottage on the lake to get some sun while I lollygagged at home.

Nabbie - Hope you got your trailer cleaning done. Nicholas and your hubby should just plan to see the HP movie wherever you're staying at the time! We frequently go to the movies while we're on vacation!!! There wasn't anything we were interested in seeing when we were up north or we would have gone to a movie the other night

I think we may be going out to dinner at my cousin's restaurant in a bit after everyone finishes getting cleaned up

Moo, TGIF is right!

It was a weird week. Off Monday, but looking work stuff for forecast, Forecast Tues and Wed, which is always stressfull, then it was pretty dead Tuesday, and then crazy today with Budget review with the director (from 3-5pm on a FRIDAY, yuck!). But somehow this week felt like it would never end..... Next week will likely be so slow I want to shoot myself, but I cant even take time off because Khaki is doing an Alaska cruise, grrrrr.

Moo, i didnt really Mari and BF were staying all week, that is so nice.

Nab, I agree, Nicholas can see HP anywhere. And if he wants to hang around just to see if with friends, I'd say tough luck, buddy!

Tomorrow I finally have GOT to take my car in for an oil change, I am 4000 miles overdue and hubby says my tire will blow if I dont get it fixed, so guess that's my plan for the weekend. Oh, and clean the house, dust specifically, I dont know where the heck the dust keeps coming from

we had a good day....hubby has painted three bedrooms up stairs...and one room is ready for the carpet to be washed.....that is it in there.....he will do the trim in the two bedrooms up...tomorrow our son is going to come and help out...he will paint the ceilings in the hallway and into the bathroom and kitchen and livingroom and dining room.....then the hall way...down stairs will have to wait...
I filled more holes...I cant believe how many holes in the paint a house can have...they must of had a zillion things hung up in the kids rooms and in the living room....I would pull out hanging nails and then fill the holes.....I even got to sand a few places that needed more then a little filler stuff....
We came home and cleaned up and went out to eat....I had two plates of steamers and drawn butter.......then had the stir fry man make me a plate of healthy choices.....green peppers, onions, mushrooms, sliced beef, pork, and chicken and delicious shrimp...yummy...oh before that I had some illegal foods too.......like a few pieces of teriyaki chicken.....for dessert I was good and had three pieces of watermelon that was extra sweet.....I even put a little salt on them.....double yummy..

Had an awesome dinner at my cousin's restaurant tonight! We all tasted a flight of nine beers that included some of the seasonal brews. I am happy just sticking with a small glass of one of the milder beers!

Mari and David are heading back to NC tomorrow, but it was great having them home for the week. Lots of fun times!!!

Marita - Good luck getting your errands run tomorrow I was a quite a bit over on my oil change, but decided that I better have it changed before driving to the airport to come down to Florida for my conference last month. My transmission fluid was really low as was the pressure in one of my tires. Yikes!

I thought I posted this morning , I must be losing it....

Trailer is clean , Buddy is at the inlaws. Wash in the washer. Now if hubby would give me a firm time that we are leaving. Sometimes it Monday, next it is Tuesday.

He is trying to see if they can see Harry Potter at one of our stops, in Branson I think. Nicholas had his heart set on the midnight show but they are sold out already. He wants to go along the bottom States. That is if the weather holds. He said if they are calling or hurricanes we will head back up north.

Moo-- I saw your picture over on FB. I they they were doing shots until I read about the beer. Are they gone now? Do you have other vacation this summer?

Marita-- did you get your errands done? Hubby takes care of all the car stuff so I never think about the oil etc.

Well better go check on the Don't want to be up all night doing it.

Nab, no, still didnt get the oil change done, but I finally absolutly have to do it tomorrow, no more time left.

I'm addicted to the Casey Anthony thing too, HNL still has specials on it, they had highlights of the trial on for 2 hours tonight. I don't know how I'll get back to regular programming, LOL.

DD's a/c in her car died this week. After that, and after Ds drove her car for a 3 hour round trip last weekend, he deciced she needed a new car, so tonight he bought her a brand new Chevy Cruze. He has top notch credit, but hers was even better , and i dont know what they worked out about who pays what, but with his military discount (I think she got that) and no sales tax in Montana, they left with a brand new car. Electic everything, xm radio, handsfree phone, beeping warning for backing up. Still waiting for all the details.

So now hubby has a 2 yr old Camry hybrid, Ds has a brand new Chevy SUV, and dD has a brand new car. That leaves me with the only one driving an 8 yr old clunker. Im JEALOUS! But, clear head prevails, cant afford a new car now, sigh.

Todays newspaper ...brought tears to my eyes....a dear dear lady that was so good to my MIL at the assisted living home passed away. This person became one of the family and I hadnt had time to call her the last two or so months....It breaks my heart to think this..."WE" were to busy with our lives to call her on the phone...shame on me...I feel so horrible...She was the type of CRMA that was kind and sweet and took the time to talk to each of the residents that she would do the meds with....She was so good to my MIL ...she came to the hospital before she passed away...she was at the funeral...
Hubby and I did travel to Portland to bring her flowers when she was sick a year ago...but havent seen her since then......but we chatted on the phone ...
She will be missed in my heart...
SO dear friends.....always take that few extra minutes to call someone that may be older then we are or are suffering......dont do a pumba and not call for a few ...cause it sure hurts ..

Nabbie - Mari and David made it back home around 8:30 last night, so they have a day to rest up before going back to work. I don't really have any more vacation stuff planned for this summer. Will probably just do a couple of day trips to the beach and the craft show in Ann Arbor later this month.

Hope you have a great vacation and that Nicholas gets to see his movie!

Pumba - Sorry to hear about your friend's passing. That's a really good reminder about reaching out to others who may be lonely or hurting while we're able to
