Marita, think of it as a trial run for a longer cruise in the future!!!! :thumbsup2

I don't have the right plug-in to play the Kegel Song :guilty: My laptop is too crotchety to load any more stuff.

The DVD wont play on the laptop

I am tired tonight, you'd think the daylight savings time was backwards

:lmao: :lmao:

"Well, it's no Twinkie!"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I like it.
I'm pretty sure you could somehow use it in your real life. Then again, maybe people don't call you Twinkie (or Twinkessori) in your real life. :faint:

Speaking of supper, I have not eaten all day and I am starving, so I better go get something.......
Marita, you need to get your stomach ready for this cruise!! They MAKE you eat! Trust me, there were nights when I didn't feel like eating and they still bring you food. And way too much of it!

Thanks, Rob! I was wondering. And I like you better all the time. You think like a woman. No offense.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
Have I told you lately that I tuxlove you, Lexi? :flower3:

PJ: As a child birth instructor, I feel it is my duty to advise you to start doing Kegel exercises. now. They work like magic. Go ahead and google. You're gonna love this one. However, all the docs at the hospital beg me to teach this in class, cuz they really do work. Consider yourself edumacated. YW!
Well for goodness sakes. Why do I have a feeling I should stay far away from googling this? Oh yeah, because you're not to be trusted.

Speaking of Patrick Dempsey, who's buying the Enchanted DVD?!
Pick me, pick me! Can't wait!

But I'm sure It's a good story.
One that I'm sure I don't need to hear.

And for the record, I am not birthing any children of my own, just teaching them. :snooty:

If I start cooking chicken do you think McDreamy will come to my house too?

Midterm was easy breezy. Guess that's how it goes when you're a freakin' genius. ;) I went to get my car, which was at my cousin's house. I took it there last night because a light went on in it and he gave me his car and said he would look at it today. He owns a car repair shop. He ended up taking it to the dealer for me and waiting while they fixed it. It was still under warranty, that's why he took it there. What a guy. Something about the catalytic something or other, don't ask me. So this all raised the question: if I move, what will I do when things happen like the little light in my car goes on? What about when I'm hopelessly lost and none of my friends are familiar with where I live and they can't help me??? A certain babynurse claims I'm overthinking this one, but I potentially see a real problem here. :scratchin

Moo: I love your pup pics also. Are those German Shepherd pups? I love my current floppy ear Golden but I missing having a dog whose ears stand erect.

Speaking of Patrick Dempsey, who's buying the Enchanted DVD?!
I am. In fact, I enjoyed the movie so much that I think I am even going to spring for the extra cost to get it in Blu-Ray form. The way I look at it, if none of my sons wanted go with me to see it in the theater, then none of them need it in regular DVD form so it can be played on their individual DVD players either (we only have the one Blue-Ray player in the house in the form of a Playstation 3).

You are most helpful, Rob. I won't ask how, when why, wor you know these things. popcorn:: But I'm sure It's a good story.
Thank you Wendee.

Not so much, nothing to tell really. Just that after having four kids born in an 8¼ year span, you learn some things.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
Have I told you lately that I tuxlove you, Lexi? :flower3:
What are you ahahaing about?

I KNOW, Just the mere thought of me missing out on all that great food makes me sick!!!!!!!!!! (as in missing out).
I have been studying menus. 5 bites do me in, I am soooooooo going to waste food opportunities!!!!!!

Wait, Underberg, I need to buy some Underberg. To help digestion!!!!!!!!!!!
Plus it has alcohol!!!

1 more day of work!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3:

Peej, a coworker of mine said Enchanted was coming out this week, but I googled and it isn't until next week :( I don't buy many DVDs, but I think I'll get this one. There have been a couple other chick flicks recently that I liked too -- definitely, maybe and 27 Dresses.

Glad your exam was a breeze :thumbsup2 We talked to our DD tonight and she is on spring break this week, but mostly just hanging out at her house. Her Master's project is de in a month, so she's been plugging away on that.

The pups are Corgi/Yorkie mix from a rescue organization - they apparently were a puppy farm oops, but we absolutely love them. The female looks like a mini-German Shepherd and the male looks like a small shaggy Corgi :) They do have cute ears! It's fun taking them to PetSmart and seeing all the reactions.

I didn't realize that PS3 plays Blue-Ray DVDs. You learn something new every day!

Marita, I had to google Underberg. Another new thing I learned today. Can you buy that locally? I have never seen it in the store.

Yes, get in it your local Liquour store. I usually get a 12-pack in my xmas stocking

No pictures of the super cool derby cars yet. :sad1:

Musn't ever talk to a man who is paying pills or who's working under the hood of their car/truck. With 100 % surety, whatever "honey-do" will be met with scoffing and scorn.

My wife Misty knows how to rotate, resize, crop and post my pictures but she went to the dentist today and is in Major Payne.

Marita- Almost time!!!! :yay:

You have a husband AND a wife, UM? :confused3

That's how I roll. No, we aren't a Big Love situation. I think every woman needs a wife. We take care of each other's kids when one of us needs to go to the dentist. We bring each other the Nectar, or "hooch". We clean each other's house when the other one is at Disney. You know "wife". (aka, BFF)

GOOG MORNING! :sunny:

My car failed to start a couple of times last week and I thought it was the battery so I took it to the auto parts store...had the battery tested....you need a new battery that'll be $80 thank you very much. Yesterday, it happened again but it really wouldn't start at all. Looks like I need a new *starter*....whatever that is....and it costs $300! :scared: Driving DDs $1000 car today which runs just fine.

Marita....When you said Underberg I at first thought you meant you forgot to buy new underwear for your trip. You have bought new underwear in the last 20 years. WAIT! Don't answer that. Anyway...does this Underberg cause you to be hungry? It looks like beer. Or Lee & Perrins. But it has a fairy on the box so I'm confused.

Rob
.....Now I'm wondering if you might actually BE a woman! Cuz that Kegel song was HILARIOUS, my friend! (WT is shaking his disgustedly head right now.) Do you frequent the Kegel site? Enjoy finding humor in incontinence? OT...what is the difference between DVD and blu-ray and is the whole world going blu-ray eventually?

PJ....Thanks for tuxloving me. I think? Does that mean you're going to pm me a chocolate rabbit or do I just steal it from your signature? Good to hear you *owned* that mid term. I always wondered what it was like to be a freakin' genius. :confused3

Wendee.....I have a wife too. Her name is Ann and she takes care of me and does thoughtful things like a sister...only I don't have a sister. Anyway, she never cleans my house when I'm at Disney so I'll have to speak to her about that.

EVERYBODY ELSE.....:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

No and no. Remember, it was Wendee and P&J that started that whole discussion.

Off topic? Is there a topic to this thread? :)

The most basic way to explain DVD vs. Blu-Ray is by saying that Blu-Ray (hooked up to a High Definition television) is to DVD what High Definition television is to standard television. That means that some people will see a distinct difference in the picture that they will feel is worth the upgrade and others won't think it is that much better. Personally, I do think Blu-Ray gives a much better picture but 90% of the movies we buy, we still buy on DVD because the kids watch them a lot more than I do and the discs are about $15 - $20 cheaper plus not everything that comes out on DVD also comes out on Blu-Ray.

As far as the whole world going Blu-Ray, well, the future is always hard to predict. There will be an upsurge in Blu-Ray ownership, prices on both the players and the discs will start to fall as ownership numbers increase and the technology matures. There was a format war going on these last 2-3 years between Blu-Ray and another high definition DVD technology (much like the Beta tape vs. VHS tape war of the late 70s / early 80s) but that has ended and Blu-Ray came out on top so that will also help because electronics manufacturers and Blockbuster and NetFlix and such will be able to put their focus on Blu-Ray instead of both formats that were battling each other.

I imagine something will come along eventually that will drive DVDs and Blu-Ray both out of the market (much like it is about impossible to find a standalone VHS player these days). I think it will be something along the lines of the iPod model where you buy your content in digital form and download it to a giant hard drive attached to your TV set. Of course, portability will be an issue because you will want to take your movies to different rooms of the house or into the car or whatever but I'm sure that consideration can be resolved easily enough. Electronic storage space becomes cheaper and cheaper every six months or so and the physical space needed for the hard drives becomes smaller and smaller so it will be possible eventually to have a small device that holds 300 to 600 hours of high-definition video on it and a larger, less portable, device that holds much, much more.

Ok, probably already more than you ever wanted to read about that topic so I will stop here.

morning I know if I ask here you guys will find the answer for me.

what is BORG mean........any takers?

The Borg are a fictional pseudo-race of cyborgs depicted in Star Trek. The Borg appear in many elements of the Trek franchise, playing major roles in The Next Generation and Voyager TV series, notably as an invasion threat to the Federation, and the means of return of the stranded Federation starship Voyager. The Borg have become a symbol in popular culture for any juggernaut against whom "resistance is futile." The Borg are depicted as an amalgam of cybernetically enhanced humanoid drones of multiple species, organised as an inter-connected collective with a hive mind, inhabiting a vast region of space with many planets and ships, and sophisticated technology. They operate towards one single minded purpose: to add the biological and technological distinctiveness of other species to their own, in pursuit of perfection. This is achieved through forced assimilation, a process which transforms individuals and technology into Borg, enhancing individuals by adding synthetic components.

Usually the term is used to mean that two or more people think alike.;)
