Ok, that's NOT something most folks would know. Is that from being Scrabulous or are you fannish? Our Smof is retiring from it this year and we are looking for a new master. We've been going so long(30 years) that it shouldn't be a problem.I just saw your google comment.

Marita, enjoy that cruise. My sis took me with her family on one about 7 years ago. We had a blast. The last day though we had very rough seas, and most everyone was sick. But none of us lefties were. Strange, ain't it.
As for the hour, I have to be up soonish for work, and woke up WAAYYY too early. Usually just read and run in the am.

..tjhe wonder..yes, we've been on her a few times...the last was
the 11-nighter. it was one excellent adventure!

tips?....i don't care what older folks do..but i ..interacting
with the characters. * underneath ,are professional actors/actresses,
learning their trade...&/or dedicated group of people..with alot of
patience. bringing...a character to life....i think is a real challenge,
so...i like "presenting" my best..character presentations...

and watching the kids..is neat to. but you can meet alot people ..
in the lines. doing characters' greets, in my opinion, are great fun!

* sometimes..marita..you come across a person taking their role
to heart...they are in~deeds..very , very special. in 2002,
"belle"...on the wonder, went way above...our expectations with
jordan. sooo if you have your kiddies..or even if you don't..you
should make a lil'time..to take in thier shows..it's an artform!

we've been on the wonder..since the begining...& on our first trip,
we had the whole family..& no plans. it still just as memorable as
the rest....i guess that's why...we liked cruising...you really don't
need a "schedule".

i would go to all the shows..* go early..for the up front seats...but
all the seats...are ok. its tooo bad..they stopped...the hercules..
show...it was our favorite!

take your camera....everywhere. [ ha! coming a guy..who left our
movie..camera..on the kitchen table..then we had our 35 mm stolen
after..taking jordan's first ariel pics... ...but....one of the cast
member..loan..me their 35mm camera... . * there's nothing that
can't be over come.

nassau..we loved..doing the straw market....you should seen me a~
bartering... ..kind like a tri-state...flea market.

* the hot dogs...were some of the best....you will ever chomp on @
plutos'..& over the years..they have expanded....their options...so
do a lil'exploring...and of course, head to the front of the ship..@
the adults only areas...go everywhere!..to all the clubs..even explore
the kiddies areas..if only to checked out the disney themes.

we done both seatings...i know the early..are most desirable,
but..we all...prefer..the late. . tablemates....luck of the draw..but
hopefully..you will have motivated..servers..* if you do, then you
will have alot..of fun! ps, * always order 2 drinks @ the begining. trust
me on this!. try the snails! ..here's another thing...we do..."share"...
so we order different menus. they will bring anything..however, where
i come from..."wasting food"..is a sin.

as you kno,i have a strong interst..in culture..so interacting those
serving from other countries..is something...i like doing. our last
server, was from...the default soviet..she was a dollbaby..& she knew,
alot the places..we visiited...if you ever go on longer cruises...seek
their advice!

bring some pins!...wanta make some extra magic?..i like trading/giving
top the kids...

..* take some time outs!..i just ..being by myself, and taking
in the ocean views...@ different times [night/day]....to watch the
ship / move thru the water. pay attention! @ all times!...when we
did the life boat..drill, after fort lauder. , boarding....we were deck 4..
....i was peering out...& i told my..wife.."what in the world jumping
out of the ocean?!"...schools of dolphins.... , the whole ship
cam over..i swear..we tilted to the one side...

you kno, you have alot more fun..if you took me along,

jus a few observations...from practicing mental health~~

..anything possessing life..has feelings. one becomes, what
the chose to practice....sooo there is no excuse...for being
cruel to animals..@ all!...leading to others.

...of course..we are part of the food chain..*if i have my way..
i like to be bury..in our meadow..to fertize ..the grasses the
deer eat.

i can'y express..how much....fun..it is...to feed the birds.

..people..should take..lessons..from...their pets. give them a lil'

..and they're your friend for life.

violent acting out..here's our response...your "rights" end..when your
words..& behaviors begin....hurting others..how do you kno? when
they tell you!

do you see..where that ver'scum...that killed that bama girl...got his
attitudes..from. what a monster..his parents..have rasied!..thinking
others are beneath..them...* we also teach, if you have to put others
down..to feel good about yourself, then it's a mental illness. [ i kno
exactly..what type of treatments..i would "give"..him..if he ever came
near my family.]

iam hoping our gov't get involve..with their current govt' for justice
sakes. after all, she was an american. a human being....that was

Uma- By the time I was seven I was into the Cat From Outer Space series, early Clarke. All the Trek series, especially DS9(no, not him). I read Lord of the Ring 20 times before the movies came out. BTW I have the dvd set of LotR with 12 discs, 2 for each movie, 1 for each with commentary, and four extras. Watched em all. Oddly, I've never considered Star Wars Weekend. Now I might.

Itenary is short: Onboard Thursday at 4 pm, arrive in Nassau at 9:30 Friday, leave there at 5pm. Castaway Cay arrival Saturday 8:30, leave at 5pm.
Ashore Sunday at 7:35 am I am so NOT a morning person!
And poor DH has to go work Thursday morning at 12 am to work on Flower and Garden festival, so he will totally loopy without sleep the first night.

Lil G, thanks for all the tips, I will take them to heart. We got the second seating too for dinner.

Oh, and I learned today that DH booked a level 4 veranda cabin, but we got upgraded to a level 7 DELUXE veranda, with insurance thrown in for free.

I looked high and low for a decent bathing suit so not to embarass myself or anyone with me.....sooooooo last night went to LL Beans and nope not one for this old lady.......then went to Pennys tonight and got one that is LOUD.....can I say that and mean it.....it is pretty and hubby said YES get that one....so got one that covers the major body parts.......it is wild orchids colors everywhere on it........
we are in the 79 day to go to Disney now.....not that Moi isnt counting....hahaha......yah right......we still have so much ice here and its dangerous to walk anywheres..
I am tired and tonight is the eclipse.....everyone get out there and look and say....oh Pumba in Maine is watching it too.....we are all looking at the same moon at the same time.......isnt that a neat thought.....

Pumba, my 20 plus year old bathing suit had big red flowers on it, and gold threads, and I LOVED it. But I am afraid the time has not treated it well. I got to get my bum over to Landsend like Lexi said.

I looked at the moon last night when I let the dog out, and it was full, and huge circles of different blue lights around it. Never saw that before. I just looked now, but there are too many clouds.

But yes, we are all looking at the same moon

OK I might really tick off the OCD planners here, but I am feeling overwhelmed wth things to check out and book in 2 weeks (while working).

I am considering just showing up and lounging around and eating and doing what is available. I just printed out 50 pages of a brochure that really told me nothing I did not already know. Plus I have to coordinate with the family, none of which are available.
OK, plan for me, get there, eat (hahah, that will be 3 bites), relax. Anything else is extra. maybe a couple of shows.

Blinky has gone to join his buddy Bandit in ferret heaven.

They were both very old and had a good life.

My hubby is a MAJOR Star Trek fan. Has been since the original series. He likes many other sci fi shows but he mostly watches them with his headphones on. I never heard the term "smoffing" before. I being able to look up obscure things on-line.

Moo Hoo on finding a swimsuit!!! They have to be one of the worst things to shop for.

Did you see that if you're a Disney Visa cardholder you can get the water parks and more added for free? Might be worth checking out if you have kidlets going with you. I think the offer is good for the time you'll be there. Sometimes they'll adjust your ressie for stuff like that.

I got home late from work tonight - guess I need to go look up the time of the eclipse.
