Welcome home Wendy, hope yout trip was just spiffy!!

:cloud9:

You'll have to go see! :goodvibes

Thanks!!!!

You guys!!!!! There's kids stuck on school buses STILL! A bunch of kids are STUCK at other schools! Holy COW!
$5 bucks says tomorrow is NOT a snow day. Thank goodness my babies are home safe and sound.

I'm watching SuperNanny thinking my kids are freakin' ANGELS!!!!!!

My mom just called and told me my uncle died today. He was out shoveling snow. :sad1:

My uncle had 9 kids and his wife just had heart surgery in Nov. I hope I can make it to the funeral on Saturday. It is three hours away.

Wendy, I think all of our thread kids are freaking angels compared to what they COULD be!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Thanks to those who have been concerned about me. I'm still majorly grumpy.

I Hate Valentines Day this year  but some of you may find this amusing. I, myself, can think of several other more appropriate uses for duct tape in my life.

Valentine’s Day Uses for Duct Tape
by the Duct Tape Guys, authors of The Duct Tape Book(s)

10. One rose traditionally means "I love you." A dozen roses made entirely out of duct tape means "I'll love you forever!"

9. If your sweetheart is dieting, wrap that heart-shaped box of chocolates in ten to twenty layers of duct tape - they'll either give up entirely, or burn about 300 calories while opening it.

8. Or, forget the box of chocolates, just give your sweetheart a roll of duct tape. Duct tape is 100% fat free.

7. No more cupid's bow and arrow necessary. Just wrap yourself in duct tape, sticky-side-out and fling yourself against the object of your desires.

6. Valentine's Day dinner apparel is spill-proof when you make it out of duct tape. Dribble some red wine? No problem, just hose yourself off!

5. Make a giant Valentine's Day greeting card: Write "I LOVE YOU..." on your garage door with duct tape. You might make friends with the neighbors using this hint, also.

4. Popping the question? Do what Tim did. Duct tape yourself to your askee's leg until she accepts your proposal of marriage.

3. Make a Love Bug: Cover a Volkswagen Beetle (any vintage) in red or pink duct tape hearts. Don't have a Beetle? Duct tape an old claw-foot bathtub upside down on the top of your car and it will kind of look like a bug.

2. Make your sweetheart a sexy duct tape teddy or negligee out of red and black duct tape (warning: hair removal eminent)

1. Duct tape your bedroom door shut so the kids don't come in during your romantic interlude.

:rotfl2:

Happy ValentiMe's Day!!!

hi~ hugs all around, may all your ValenTimes be good times

today is the 6th anniversary of me becoming Twinkie Mama.....
I gave birth to my twins at 8:21 and 8:35 am eastern time. It is a great birth story- from waking up at 3:30 am with my water breaking to having to BEG my DH to take me to the hospital (Twinkie darling, babies take a lo-ong time to be born honey. It is way too soon), to bloodwork wars between various babydoctors, babynurses, and babymedtechs, to the grand finale- TWO healthy babies. It was the absolute best Valentine present ever.

So this week has been twink-a-palooza or how much sugar and pink glitter does one really need in life?

The girls celebrated their birthday at school with cupcakes with white frosting, pink glitter sprinkles and pink roses on Monday.
On Tuesday I was in charge of the kindergarten ValenTime party (heart shaped brownies dipped in white chocolate with heart sprinkles).
Today was their real birthday (TWO white cakes with a hint of almond covered with white frosting and pink flowers and huge number 6).
The friend party is this weekend- please send a search party if you don't hear from me. I may be taken hostage or accidently get tangled in pink crepe paper or pass out from lack of oxygen after blowing up purple balloons.

Nab...sorry about your uncle. Prayers said for the family. That is cute about your kids making Valentimes for your DH.

Twinkie...Can one ever really have too much sugar, pink and glitter? I think not. Happy birthing day X2. princess: princess:

Marita....hard to believe, I know, but my school was OPEN!

Moo...goog to see ya!

Is it time to go to bed yet?

I got nothing. Yet I'm posting. :confused3 Perhaps it means it's time to crawl into bed when things like that start happening.

 HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Some of you were up late last night!

There's SCHOOL today, thank you God. Our ValenTimes are ready....Spongebob.

PJ....So is your placement at a poor Montessori school? I thought all Montessori schools were private schools? (They are here.) Or is it at a regular non-Montessori public school? Hope you have a fun day at school!

Moo....Love the duct tape list! Although the duct tape teddy sounds painful. :scared:

DTD....Poor Billy Clyde must be sweating now! I always liked Vandy so if we had to lose, I'm glad it was them...just hated that it was by such a WIDE margin.

Twinkie....Sounds like you have been busy making all those homemade treats and giving parties. Your a goog momma.

NAB....So sorry to hear about your uncle! Was it a heart attack? Did they still have any kids at home? Your poor aunt!

Marita....Glad the email worked for you. That's how my mom kept us all up to date on my grandfather. Hope you can get her into a regular rehab facility. Maybe she'll gain some strength before she has to leave the hospital.

Cy & DTD.....Thanks for the Valentine's wishes.

EVERYBODY ELSE
.....:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

GOOG MORNING, SUNSHINES!!!

Lexi....yes, it's a public Montessori school. The first public Montessori school in America, to be exact. It's been around forever. I can think of dozens of public Montessori schools in Cincinnati.

Have a great Valentimes day! :flower3:

I think this is the pacifier that they use at Baby Nurse's hospital!!!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That's just about enough of these shenanigans! Harumph!

Twinkie: What a busy momma you have been. Congrats on your ValenTimes twinklets!

Nab: :grouphug:

MOO: Hasn't everybody made a duct tape teddy? Or is that just in mamacantfindya? Who needs Victoria's Secret right?;)

PJ: I got nuthin for you. Sorry.

Lexi: Julia went to a Montessori school for two years. It was not a private school, but there was a waiting list.

DTD: I'm glad you didn't mention that Kentucky game. :rolleyes1 But what can I say, Kelvin Sampson is in his own lil mess, isn't he?

This seems like a bbn thing to post, so I will:

Happy Valentine's Day, MOOvers!

And Happy 6th Birthday, Twinkerbell and Princess Twink!!!!!

NAB, sorry to hear about your uncle. Sending prayers for the whole family.

Moo, hope you're soon back to better spirits.

Actually, wiseguy, I didn't make goodie bags for the kids in my kids' classes. Full disclosure: I would have, but candy Valentine's are verboten...too many kids with food allergies. My kids gave each of their classmates a small sheet of stickers and a funky pencil though.

Boris and Natasha each have a book report due Friday, so I had the pleasure of having them present the book reports to me last night. Plus, Boris has a 4-page report due Friday on Russia. He needed illustrations and 2 sources of info, and he has to present the report to his class tomorrow too. (Is this really 2nd grade???) So I helped him do a final review of that project last night as well.

As if all that isn't enough, today is my mom's 62nd birthday. So the kids and I spent quite a while yesterday making special homemade cards and pictures for her (to accompany the gift we purchased for her).

Oy....is it the weekend yet?
