Just got back from high school orientation. I am in total information overload. :scared: I can't believe my little boy will go to high school next year. Where did the time go? MommyP and Twinks, hold on to those babies tight. Next thing you know, they will be driving. :sad1:
Allie,

They DO grow up fast! (although maybe in my DS12's case, not fast enough -- after his bad behavior last weekend, I'm ready for him to move out  ).

Does your DS's (future) high school have "career paths" that they would like the students to choose, at least by the time they enroll for their junior year? My DS15 is in ninth grade this year and his high school basically has 5 majors (though they don't call them that) -- business management, technical and industrial technology, science-health-environment, human/social service, and a 5th one I can't recall the name of dealing with singing, acting, public speaking, etc.

That was the biggest shock to me. It was hard enough deciding a career choice in college.

Hey! When did her DH install them fancy window shutters? AND a mailbox?

Might be time for another, um, "visit".

-- Rob

Rob, sorry...there's no room at the Crazynurse Ranch these days. We're all full up.....and it's a girls only invitation! Perhaps you could try a dude ranch?

What's wrong with the barn? Rob could come for the party and then sleep in the hay.

Sometimes at Sunnybrook RS sleeps out in the barn and he has guns, you know. I really just don't know if that's a good mix, Marita. Sounds a little risky to me.

I agree! :scared1: Rob prefers NO bullet holes in him, nor any shotgun shrapnel.

Sounds like a BBN issue to me. OK, I am NOT suggesting alernate sleeping arrangements.

Alright, alright, I'll try to call and change the order to 4 sets of matching but not matching matching pink monogrammed jammies. Before I place the order does anyone else need jammies?

And yeah, you're right, Cel, that bbn is pretty weak. heh.

It was raining like crazy just now driving home from the hospital. And it's all supposed to freeze overnight. Should be lovely for the morning commute.

:rotfl2:

(and oddly enough I'm hoping to get to Target to get a pair of flannel jammies!!)

GOOG MORNING! :sunny:

Another snow day here. Yesterday it snowed then rained so everything was crunchy. And then last night it snowed on top of the crunch...but still not much snow to speak of.

One of my co-workers is at WDW this week and it's gorgeous and sunny. He keeps texting things like "Mickey says Throw a Snowball" :sad2: AND he lucked out because his kids aren't missing school on these snow days!

PJ....I have plenty of jammies but I'd like a matching set if that's ok.

Moo
.....Sorry you're in a bad mood.

BNCG
....I love your swing!

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

GOOG MORNING, SUNSHINES!!!
snow.jpg

All the schools here are still closed or at the very least on a 2 hour delay. But, not mine. Better go scrape the car and get an early start. Because our school is open. They said it's freezing rain and ice out there. Nonetheless our school is open. Have I mentioned that our school is open???

Lexi and Sandy....I'll just put you both down for jammies to be safe.

Have a good one, y'all.

I want jammies too! please?

Size Ms. Depp HotT!
:P to babycow

I have held two babies in each arm and pushed a bassinette back and forth with my foot at the same time. BUT I wouldn't trade jobs for the world.

Reminds me of my daycare days - two in bouncy seats, one foot on each bouncy seat while rocking and feeding another one in my arms.
If you get it positioned JUST right, you can bounce the two and rock the one at the same time.
woo!
I could only handle the nursery for short periods of time though. I preferred the 2 year olds.

Heh...my DD didn't quite feel the heft of the convent school threat until the last time we watched The Sound of Music. Don'tcha just LOVE it when TV is educational? :rotfl:
What? She didn't think marrying into a ready made family with one billion kids would be fun? :confused3

And yeah, you're right, Cel, that bbn is pretty weak. heh.

I would say I could take her, but I think I'll just steal Johnny quietly.

I think this is E's tree swing :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

redneck.jpg
Looks more like something the crazy cat pee lady would have.

Dear cat decided to return tonight, 36 hours after disappearing (which she has not done in years) i was just getting used to the thought of no cat food bowl, no litter box, no white hair around, and back she comes!
Marita - you kill me! She was gone for a day and a half and you were ready to throw out her food bowl???? :rotfl2:

I can't believe my little boy will go to high school next year.
 for them growing up too fast.

"baby nurse"...makes one think...soft and caring.
Then you meet OUR baby nurse and get those thoughts right out of yer head! :rotfl:

and what are you going to do to the jammies? I'm thinking you're going to cut out holes in a certain :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc area!

I miss twinks.

Not exactly, but they do have all those courses of study. They had a curriculum fair last night, so you could see what each dept. offers. Luckily here they don't actually go to the high school until 10th grade, due to overcrowding. I like it cause the 6th graders are still in the elementary schools. We just have to figure out which classes to take. :teacher:

Gotta get me one of those swings for my front yard. :lmao: :lmao: That would look HOT down here in AL! ;)

Funny story to share:

My friend Lisa has a yorkie that has become rather ummm - randy?
He does not bother people much, just one of the girls' toys.
Guess which one?

Their Heffalump!

Guess what the new name for the toy is at their house?
Hehehehhehe
Heffahump.
:rotfl:

Evening, all.

I'm in a really bad MOOd tonight, so I won't be around.

What'd he do? ;)

What's wrong with the barn? Rob could come for the party and then sleep in the hay.

meh, never mind....((zipped lips smilie))

Ah ha! a new breed: Hefaorkie or a Yorkalump :teacher:

Cy:
I would not want to be smacked in the head with THAT swing.

BBN- so? are we gonna have pillow fights and do each other's hair? Play "Light as a feather/ stiff as a board"? "Truth or Dare"?

Ah ha! a new breed: Hefaorkie or a Yorkalump :teacher:

It's a humpaorkie or a yorkahump!

Sorry to hear about everyone's family illnesses...and having their own illnesses.

A message from dablue to all your northerners...PLEASE keep the snow up there!!!! My truck doesn't drive well in snow. It's rear wheel drive. I'm tempted to go this weekend to try to trade in for a front wheel drive...Honda of some sort. (Accord, Civic or CRV.)

As for a certain someone who skipped church this weekend...you really need to call and talk to Anthony. He's always asking about you and I'm tired of having to explain to him that I don't keep up with you and I don't know where you are when you are not at church.

Sorry I'm not on much. I stay pretty busy with the kids and work. And sometimes, I just don't have anything much to say. Some days, it's easier for me to talk to others...other days...it's not.

About all these dismeets and what have yous....

One of my bosses was talking about taking a trip in May to WDW. It was sad...May was a month that I took a trip with someone special to WDW. Now I'm the only someone special in my life (minus the Godkids---and I sure can't afford to take them with me in May). So it was a sad moment briefly at the lunch table. Course it kinda was awkward when the other boss told the boss to take me because I'd love a trip to see the Mouse.

I can't wait to take a Disney Cruise...I bet that would be fun. I like the ocean and being on the water.

Oh well...that's all in the past. At least I'm in total control of my life...wait...what's that???? Little Shihtzu, you want WHAT? A belly rub...sure...roll over!

Oh...I went out this morning...I had backed my truck in my parking space (and the rear tires were in the yard) last night after coming home from work. It was raining..so I did not want to have to walk in the mud to get in my truck this morning. Then it snowed this morning. I had trouble getting my door open because it was frozen. I finally got in and tried to go to work. The back tires just spun. Mike helped me get it on the driveway, and we put some bricks in it to help add weight on the rear tires. I just spun trying to leave. Finally called in and told my boss who said that if they close the office early, I'd only have to use part of a day of vacation time. Then, I thought about low gear, went back out to my truck, put it in low, and it pulled out...finally. I texted my boss to say I was on my way and she replied that they were closing the office. Gee, all that trouble to finally go to work only to be told not to.

So, I'm catching up on all the posting and looking about my room wondering if I should rearrange it and turn the second space heater on. It's so cold. Then I checked the weather page...it's 23 outside right now. Hi is supposed to be 32. BUT tomorrow's hi is supposed to be 52! Nabbie, I don't know if you guys use celsius or fahrenheit...but we use fahrenheit. IT'S JUST WAY WAY TOO COLD!!!!!:cold: :cold:

are you back..utahm? :yay: ..did you bring me sumthing? well, did you?

....wow, it must be nice....to "do" a disney vacation..like a moment
notice. * we actually talk about "it"...but have never attempted such
a feat..."like flying down..for the weekend"....& here i was thinking,
you was going to be gone for @ least a week.

oh, moo....i tried...to express...my " happy thoughts"..to you..but
our computer..was having none of it last night.. sure hope today,
bringing our ...cheerful moo reasons..to be :)

ps,i have those days..to. i don't think anyone...having been married..
with kids..grown kids..kno where that coming from. :flower3:

..hey jude & judettes,...funny, "thing". i jus realized..i haven't met
a single poster here. soooo, its almost like talking to myself..with
an audience? * note, due to my odd/long hrs...of work, there are
probably..many occassions....me missing the mark. sooo if i ever
say, anything..that hurt feelings, or confusion, plez..let me kno..
its not intended. :flower3:

..after all, dementia..is a part of aging..& i'm getting "there".
[ that's a rationization..i hope!]

now...we @ work..often do exchanges....comparing notes....needless
to say.....all those storys, about ms. s., in a mental ward....the holly-
wood news..sure took advantage...to make a $. and of course,
how she was "toturture". ignorance..isn't always bless. * reality is:
..we have more diffculties...returning back to the community. they
like to lived there. i mentioned..this..cos the ways, any media promote
misunderstandings..prevent..those needing help...from ever getting
treatment. this can be bad..for all of us.

*
mental health..is connected to one's physical health. one determines
how long life exists & the other..how much one gets out of it. in
reality..we all will experience "troubles"..in both..areas. it is a dynamic
worthy..of :teacher: ..our children. why?... both share a common
"thread"..prevention is the best way to avoid trouble..however,
sometimes..that involves making corective actions. want kno something
i discovered..by accident?.." i make mistakes"..& they have "no
problems"..pointing it out!...however, here the surprise...when i went
back..& told them i was sorry...they, reacted..in an unexpected way.
..increased my influence..over the other things...they needed. &
because...my area of work is about mistakes all the time..this became
significant...for positive outcomes. the media...avoids this like a
plague.

it's funny...we see alot of people..into body image, physical health..
now, if they can apply..that motivation toward...mental health....
..the results..can be so :goodvibes . this is one of my favortie benefits,
from work.

oh, moo...i can't wait..to read..your happy thoughts, again!
[ fyi..one of the best reasons..comin here..someone is always making
me.... , even if we never met~ funny the things we all
can share?!] . sure hoping..i am returning..the favors..:rolleyes1
