All the schools here are still closed or at the very least on a 2 hour delay. But, not mine. Better go scrape the car and get an early start. Because our school is open. They said it's freezing rain and ice out there. Nonetheless our school is open. Have I mentioned that our school is open???

....wow, it must be nice....to "do" a disney vacation..like a moment

YES, I'm back! I was back before anyone had a chance to miss me. I didn't even bring myself anything. Except memories and photographs and a CA magnet for my fridge ($4.00) Remember this was our Budget Board trip. Guess how much in total? Less than $500.!!!!! This was for the Walmart snack foods and ice, gas $, counter service food we shared (yet still had too much), the 2 star hotel and a room at Buffalo Bills in Nevada. Our tix were paid for because they were AP's. NO souvies (except the magnet which we have to SHARE )

I am plum tuckered out.......today was YES another SNOW DAY.....no school.......snow and water up to my knees practically......also ......I tried to go out and shovel so the truck could get into the driveway......but only got a fraction of it out......to much water in the snow.....weighs a ton.....hubby is out now with the snowblower.......trying to move this slush.......we had close to ten inches of snow and then it sleeted and then rained on top of that.....and tonight it is supposed to freeze.......

today the rug rats were getting bored........so I put the Eagles final Tour in the dvd player.....good lordy I love that .....and I had it cranked so high we didnt hear the phone.......yes I am old but not dead.......one of the songs they played was theres a hole in the world tonight.......made me sniffle....it is beautiful.....

Nice day in KY to bumlay and do a little baking. We have an afternoon paper and a ball game on tv tonight. It's a goog day. (Melinda, I won't mention last night's game)

EVERY day is a great day to bumlay and bake. What'dya bake? Cookies? I love cookies. I am a cookie monster in disguise. My girth gives my secret away though. I have the BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe. It's a Mrs. Fields cookie recipe which I improved! I can post it if anyone is interested.

We are getting pounded by snow at this very minute and my FIL's stupid dog got out last week so we were going to post a bunch of LOST STUPID DOG flyers. But there's no way in that snow. Poor doggie! She's not at any of the shelters. We've put ads in all the local papers. Printed 100 flyers (half are up) and gone door to door. She's super skiddish so she wouldn't willingly go up to a stranger. The whole family is freaking out because this dog was my FIL's reason for living. He's devistated I can tell.

Only about half our class showed up today. The roads were still pretty bad. My teacher was explaining how our school rarely closes due to our "demographic," which would be extremely poor families that need to go to work and therefore need somewhere to send their kids. Regardless of the weather. We just played games today since we had less than half of them.

I would like to know who started this whole treats with the Valentine's. Some mothers are Martha Steward types that give out little bags of candy with ribbons and bows.

When I was buying the candy the lady in front of me was buying a toy and candy for her kids for Valentines day....

I have already received 8 dozen valentiMes and they've all promised me more tomorrow. How loved I must be. We decorated bags today to put all of them in. Since only about half the kids were here they each got to do 2, 1 for themselves, 1 for a friend. Some of the little boys were naughty (imagine that) and did not make the ones for their friends very nice! They were a lil snarky, reminded me of something I would do! Already got my roses last week when they were cheaper.... What can I say we both know each other well. On New Years Eve there was a lady walking around selling roses for like $9.00 and I told him not to buy it, to expensive for one rose that was going to die by morning anyway. It was the thought that counted. He said that is why he loved me, we will do this with cards in the store too. Read them there and not buy.

He did decorate my apartment with hearts and roses when we were dating and I was at work. So he does have a romantic side to him.

Guess what, this emailing my brother thing actually worked! Got a response 3 p my time, 09 pm his time. Mom is in a regular room now, but has not interest in TV or phone so far. DB and DSIL started talks about options for rehab. To go to a regular rehab facility she has to be able to dress herself and brush her teeth, etc., but she cant do that yet. So they applied for a rehab facilty with assistance, but he said insurance companies are skimping all around, so to be seen what happens. DB said it's going to be a long road before she can walk half-way ok.

In other not so good news. DH went to pick up a prescription for my daughter today. Her insurance card was rejected. So I called to see what was going on. She was dropped because she turned 23 in November, regardless of student status. But, they said, you have the opportunity for 60 days to cover her under corporate policy at full rate.Here is the number.

So I called that number. (both of those numbers were voice prompts, which I cannot stand!). They say, what is your address? So I gave it. Well, they say, we sent out notices November 30 to the correct address, sorry, your option expired February 6!

In happier news, DD ordered her cap and gown today. Her graduation is Saturday, May 3, at 9 am. She asked me if I could get up that early. I said sure, as long as somebody wakes me up
