GOOG MORNING, SUNSHINES!!!
snow.jpg

Well, we didn't get our snow. Just freezing rain so I'll have to leave early.

A shout out to my favorite Caleb. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CALEB!!!
:cheer2: :dance3: :cool1: :woohoo:
bbn....tell him PJ wants to know if it's possum or opossum. Your post made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...darn you!!

p.s. It's a little freaky just how much Caleb is your clone. Maybe that's why he's funny in that "smartypants" way. :rolleyes1

Lexi...sorry about the dog even though I'm not supposed to feel sad.

Monica....sorry about your morning! Sheesh!

Is 13 a big deal for boys like it is girls?

I don't think it's quite as big, but he feels pretty important being a teenager, and I think he is excited to be that much closer to driving.:scared1:

Sorry about your crazy morning.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CALEB!

Thanks Lexi. I had to laugh about your question if Cy was a boy or a girl. He's going to LOVE that.:lmao: (He's a b-o-y...at least I think he is:confused: )

Sorry about your dog. I know it's difficult even if it was past time. We've had to put down two dogs and two horses in the last several years. Man, it is rough.

I will ask him the opossum question, but when I tell him who asked, you know he will do one of these::rolleyes: Not that he looks at us like we are from another planet when we are all out shopping for dog food and donuts.

I think what you mean is since Caleb is super intelligent and practically a PROFESSIONAL comedian, it only makes sense that he is my clone. Right?:snooty:

No snow here. No freezing rain. Just rain. Glad to update y'all on our current weather conditions. ha

<passing kleenexes> :sad1:

BBN Happy Birthing Day Mama!! such sweet memories - and I can relate - my firstborn we also had a neonat guy - lots of people in the room, I was naive tho, no medical knowledge, first born... DS was almost 11# and his head and chest were the same size (39 cm) he also had some difficulties coming into this world - but like your new TEENAGER :scared1: All is well!! CONGRATULATIONS!

Lexi more :grouphug: A compassionate DH and vet!! :sad1:

Mony What do you mean NO SNOW in MI?? WOW!!

Uma et el you are ever so talented and clever!!

PJ love your school stories, sorry you didnt get snow yet!

SCHOOL IS CLOSED HERE!! :cool1:

(pause.. to cry... you see a local news anchor on the morning news show died 3 days ago in asnowmobile accident, he was such a warm, funny guy... and they are showing a montage of his pics, life, kids, wedding.. with the music from Jimmy Buffet, wow... that was powerful... I just cant believe I'm sad over a local tv guy - He has 3 small children - really was involved with their activities, coached, visited schools, was just a sincere, easy going guy!)

*sigh...

anyway...

Any other School Districts use the EMERGENCY automatic call - - the superintendent calls us (we register our phone numbers) when he calls school closings!! 5:45AM (I figured they'd be closed, a normal commute took 4times as long, the streets just are caked with packed snow - even tho its plowed - its snowing that fast!)

so no more trying to log on to find out, no more straining my eyes to watch the scroll on the mrning news - its a goog thing!!

morning everyone........

Morning all,

Got to sleep in this morning since there is no school today. Not a snow day just a P.D day.

Our schools here, never close walking kids still have to go even if the buses are not running but it is considered a snow day and they really don't do anything there anyway :confused3

Pumba -- I thought we were lucky and didn't get anything when hubby went to work at 5:00 am but now it is snowing really heavy and fast. So you just wait....:rotfl:

Mony-- glad you cleared that stripes think up.

Besty-- How you doing, great to see you again and your going to WDW..:cool1:

Babynurse-- Happy Birthday to Caleb !!!! Thanks for sharing your story with us. A teenager....soon the girls will come.

Lexi-- sorry about the dog. You are going to be one busy woman on the weekend.

P.j.-- hope you made it into work ok and back home ok too!! The weather is going to be messy today.

Geez BabyNurse! What a cool birth story! Give him a birthday smootch from us!

Mo- You're up too? I'm a teensey bit up too. GRRR. I can't blame AF either. I'll blame my cough and lack of tread millin'.

Wetsy!!!! good to see you!

Now, there is unplowed knee-deep new snow...still NOT a "snow day". If ANY day could possibly be a snow day it would be today. Our buses aren't tanks are they? I picture kids frozen blue waiting at bus stops. Gladly, mine only walk a short way. And I bundle em up good. Like a good mama. WHAT is with the kids who just wear hoodies in winter? Is warmth uncool?

DH shoveled the side walks and driveway at 5AM before he went to work, but you can't tell now.

As soon as it lets up, I'll go shovel too so it doesn't get out of hand.

Thanks Sandy and I'm glad everything turned out for the best in your case as well!

He sounds perfect to me.

Wheat Thins

Thanks BDG. I'll tell him my imaginary friends said so....or maybe not. ha.

Hi Pumba. More snow for you? I bet you are soooo excited.;)

A teenager....soon the girls will come.

I think an "ACK" would be appropriate here!!!

But as my dh says, when you have boys you only have to worry about that one little boy. When you have girls, you have to worry about ALL the little boys. (ain't that the truth? And Miss Julia is way too outgoing and friendly for her father's protective taste. hee hee)

I'm sure he will LOVE a birthday smootch from y'all. I'll wait and do it in front of all of his friends. That will clinch my mommy of the year status.

and I hear ya about the hoodies in winter thing? When did this become acceptable cold weather wear?

I found a website for all you guitar hero fans out there.

www.guitarherobrokemyknee.com

I loved this quote from the website.:rotfl:

"Those who have forgotten about Jimmy's broken knee are condemned to repeat it."

Have to meet my goal of smelling nice and then pick up a bday cake for somebody.

Have a good one.

Darn lost the quotes! :sad2:

Uma shoveling is GREAT exercise, you wont even need the dreadmill!!

BBN cake!! YUM

and I chucled at the Hoodies - my 2nd born son when in high school, not only was he a "hoodie" only kid - BUT HE WORE SHORTS!! :faint: The pants that zip off - Well, I'd buy him one pair of jeans, and he never wore them, every year as part of school shopping - I'd try!! :rotfl: I found out later that the neighbor would see him walking and always pick him and drive him to school!! :rotfl: (we were on the bus route!!)

In college, he now wears, PANTS!! and COATS!! and hat!! and gloves!! Shocking!! Never thought I'd see the day when he not only covered up his legs - but the rest of him too!! :rotfl2:

Enjoy the times... they grow up way too fast!!

MONICA! Those kids are adorable! It seems like yesterday you announced your suprise baby:cutie: .... I remember thinking aww, how fun but that will NEVER happen to me.

Hey Betsy! Welcome back. Be sure to tell us all about the Disney trip!

Cy- Great job on the quiz. It was a hard one.... not even multiple choice.

:wave2: to everybody else. It's a busy day here. Caleb is 13!!!!!!! TWO teenagers in the house now. How did I get old enough to have teenagers? I'm only 26.:confused3

What a great birth story....because of the happy ending- a great, smart, funny, kind of smartypants, good looking kid. I hope you both have a wonderful day. But I thought you were 24? did I miss a birthday or two? if so sorry!

And I bundle em up good. Like a good mama. WHAT is with the kids who just wear hoodies in winter? Is warmth uncool?
Yes. Warmth is uncool. At least here in Kansas. My own dear teenager wears hoodies to school as the snow falls. He owns a puffy (rather cool in a gansta kind of way) black down jacket. Polartec gloves. Hats in team colors he be represent'n but off he goes in a hoodie. Which he leaves on while in school. However based on my Nancy Drew skills I have determined that this is in fact a uniform. Every boy in junior high is wearing jeans and a gray hoodie no matter what the weather may be.

Speaking of diets- I am finally a loser this week. However DH lost more weight than I did without even trying. Argh. He also had a great suggestion for me when I complained.... the Bear Grylls diet. He offered to leave me in the woods to eat berries and bugs until I hit my goal weight. I replied the only way possible in such a situation (no, not Huh?)...... I sat on him.

My boys are in the 2nd and 4th grade. I should have years of total control still, riiiight?

I diligently send them off with their "cool" puffy snow coats on top of the hoodies with gloves and hats too. With bellies full of Cream of Wheat and hot cocoa and a Flintstones vitamin. They come home with bright red cheeks, runny noses, dragging their gear behind them....only in hoodies. :confused3

GOOD! You sat on him! That'll teach him! Wait, by "forest" he means a week in WDW right? By "forage for berries and bugs" he means Free Dining, I think! Nothing better for the diet than 7 solid days of eating for free. :rolleyes1

Cy: It looks like you might have passed the trick question part of the initiation process. Goog luck on the personal interview and talent competition. Can you twirl a baton?

I am worried :scared1: about the next phase of testing. I have many talents but I can't twirl a baton.....

BTW I am All MAN - I am a MANLY MAN!!!!:cool2:

hill - good. You know we hate those men with 10% woman in them.

The snow started about 5:30am. Just a little later than expected.

My daughter just informed me she mad a holey moley poop.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Duty calls!

CY! I thought you were a girl! Hmmm. I haven't made that mistake since SID ;)

Actually, I like a little female in my males. I like manly men yes, but who can shop with a manly man? Actually, a manly man wouldn't be so bad, come to think of it. Not that I have to think about these things ever again.

I don't like manly females though. I just want to hog tie them and put lip gloss on them and force-polish their nails. You-will-wear-makeup-and-you-will-LIKE-it,Missy! As I sit here with only mascara and chapstick :confused3

OH dontcha love those announcements? Norah insists I come to the bathroom to see her poop before we wave good by and flush...she's so proud :goodvibes

Never in a million zillion years did I think I would find a group that waves by by to the poopies in the potty......omg......I have met friends for life......

This morning got a call from my niece and she asked if her daughter (11) one of the triplets could come and hang out here.....she thought she was sick but guess what.....SHE WASNT...we had a good morning.....she ate breakfast and we discussed DISNEY.....she has gone a few times.....I talked her into going on R & R coaster her next visit.......told her it is inside and not bad at all.....she said wow.....okey will try it......hahaha

gotta love my nieces that will discuss Disney and all the fun she had and where they ate.......my kind of gal.......

we are in for a mess........they are dismissing most of the schools in the area..but not our towns.....once they go to school they stay there until parents pick them up or school lets out .......cause to many parents work and no one would be there for the kids ....

bye
