You can only pick from the top row Wendy.

Hi gang!

Chatty day here today! Too much to comment on, I just got home. Sending warming weather to all the snowbound folks. (Im not saying what the temp was here today.........)

Happy B-Day to Caleb!!!

So I ended up going to work today after all. The boss was not buyng into the "work from home" thing today, even though I woke up late (not on purpose), but we has some big speaker lined up this afternoon for hundreds of managers that I was supposed to attend, because "Cast Engagement" is the big focus for the year for the operators (so really for me just an "informational thing")

So I went. Presentation from 2-4, followed by a reception. So I went to the reception, where conversation turned to Miley Cyrus (note connection to HSM here). She was in town for 2 concerts this week, and stayed at my hotel.
So our General Manager told everyone who would listen how she talked to him:
He held the door for her, and he said "good afternoon" to her, and she "Hello" to him :goodvibes . So she TALKED to him!

I said, wait, which doors did you hold, we have automatic doors.
Silly me, the swining blue doors from the back dock to the service hallway, of course! DUH! Then up the service elevator to her suite. Just like Princess Di was back when at the Grand, but Princess DI was a much bigger deal, and involved major covert operations.

Anyway, GM says he is now a HERO to his niece!

Just checking in after a super busy work week :scared: Glad that's over . . .

I see I missed tons of fun, pics, visitors (Hi, Betsy, Tammy, Steph, and Rob!), and our new friend, Cy!!!

:welcome: I could tell right off that you're a manly man, Cy!

We got our fair share of snow today, about 5-6 inches, but it sounds like much of what was forecast for us ended up in Nabbieland :rolleyes1 DH gets out of work early every other Friday, so he had the driveway all plowed out when I got home tonight. Goog thing, too, since it was drifted pretty deep.

Happy Birthing Day, Elisabeth! Here's a little cake - make sure Caleb gets some!!!

I think I may bake a cake tonight. I'm craving carbs

I have to say that I sure missed being around this week.

But I'm all caught up finally - here, there, and everywhere :dance3:

Thanks, Moo. My neighbor/BFF sent me flowers today with a card that said she was sure that Granddaddy was looking after the dog. :)

Bonnie! Love the Isaac gif. The double pointer fingers get me every time! :lmao:

Is anybody else watching THE INCREDIBLES? ((It's a Disney movie, Marita))

So here is a little story to make your hair stand on end:scared1:

Remember hubby's surgery back in December? 6 1/2 hours in surgery? Fixing the spine around the nerves in his neck.

So he got that done ok. Part of his recovery plan was to wear a bone growth stimulator around his neck for part of the day. Well, the insurance company said they were not going to pay for it, because it was experimental, or something like that. $330.

So DH called to appeal. Fine. Then 2 days ago, he gets a letter from the hospital, saying your insurance company refuses to pay, please pay all of the
$91,000 now!
So hubby called the insurance company again, they put the whole claim on hold over the $330 dispute. Anyway, it finally got straightened out! How do people do it without insurance? DH was about to lose use of his left arm due to his condition, and is fine now.

We're watching Monk, Lex. Holly Hunter's voice grates on me, so I've always had trouble watching The Incredibles . . .

I love the Isaac double finger point too :lmao:

Marita, disputed medical bills are SO frustrating. And hospital costs never cease to amaze me (NObbn). Glad your hubby is doing OK now.

Take me with you, please, Bonnie! I can be a hag, no problem whatsoever.

hahahha! I love the "double guns"!

How are you doing, Sexy Lexy? I have not seen you in a while. Everything going ok?

:scared1: That must have scared you guys!!

Hi Bonnie,

Luckily DH did not mention it to me until today, AFTER it got resolved, or I would have freaked out.

Nope, not watching Incredibles here.

I KNOW!!! Sorry, Wendy. But they're the only thing that would make me feel human again tonight :)

Krusteaz cinnamon crumb cake.

Mmmmmmm.

Mmmmmm! Sounds succulant. I have not had a sugary treat since Christmas. :guilty:

Moo-- thanks for sending me all this snow....I made hubby go out and snowblow tonight after shoveling twice. The the weather man says there will be more over night. :scared1:

My Mom and sister are suppose to come home tomorrow. I know alot of flights were cancelled today because they couldn't keep the run ways clear. Wonder if that will push their flight around.

We watched Under Dog tonight. Nicholas loved it. Hannah is at a sleep over so she will have to watch it tomorrow.

Bonnie-- I loved the Love Boat. Watched it every Saturday night with Fantasy Island. :rotfl:

Me tooo!* i loved me some Fantasty Island!

How's it going, NAB! What's going on with you lately?

Not much Bonnie.

Lucky you gets to go to WDW in a few days!!

Oh, I have exiting (to me) news!

The regulars know how I have been whining now and then about wanting to make a beef stew (but the kids, particularly my DD) dont want it. So I haven't made any in like a couple of years or so.

Today, DH bought stew meat and all the fixings (well, except the dumpling mix and decent milk) Who want's fat free milk

But no big deal, I can run to the the store tomorrow and get those 2 things. Except that now it's close to 80 degrees here, but what the heck, it will still taste good. I make it in a pressure cooker, gets the meat really tender, with potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, green beans, McCormcick seasoning and most importantly, lots of BISQUICK DUMPLINGS! I could eat that dough raw, I swear.

I think it shows that I have not had a lot in the way of food tonight, LOL.
Had a few things at the reception, not enough to qualify for dinner though.
