YAY for you going to Disney so soon!

Big news here is DS got accepted into the Airforce as an officer, but still has another physical and interrogation to go through before it is final. Hopefully (not so hopefully for me) he gets to go in May or June.

Nice to meet you too. Sooo....do we get to hear about this Disney trip? :cool1:

Well....I'm darn excited! That's for sure. My DD is 22 months and LOVES going which is so helpful for me. I'm DVC (sorry Marita ;)) so we're staying at VWL. Not my favorite resort but I like having direct boat access to the MK. Packing is finished today and I'm ready to get out of this weather and enjoy some Florida sun :sunny:

Wow Marita! That is wonderful!!! When will he go through the physical and interrogation (that sounds scary)? Does he know where he will go if he passes the next round? Awww, I bet that will be hard for you though.

I wrote the trip home, really I did, but the dang Dis ate it. I won't go thru all of it again. We had a flat in Lumberton that turned into a stripped wheel and took all day to get to Hattiesburg, where a kind shop owner stayed open late to fix it so I could get home to work the next evening. We had to be towed twice, and both were very helpful. The second set us up with the shop owner, actually an oil change place, to get it fixed.

So we're even on the Colonel.;)
Goog to see you Tammy. Come around more often.

WOW!!! That sounds awesome! Say hi to Mickey for me.

Physical is next week, don't know about the interrogation part yet. A friend of his was grilled for 6 hours!!!!!!!!!!! His credit score was not that great, so he had to sign some sort of waiver. I don't know what that is all about, but a friend said it had something to do with the possibility of anyone blackmailing him for anything :confused3 Anyway, DS has a very good credit score, so that should not be a problem.

Did I tell you I worked at WL for 3 years? Was never my favorite (too dark for me) but I liked it better than where I am now, but that has more to do with management than architecture.

Hope you a GREAT TIME.

Post a trip report, ok? Or at least a mini one here.

6 hours??? Geesh! Hopefully your DS will not go through that. The term blackmailing just sounds scary! Sounds like he shouldn't have as big as a problem since he has good credit.

I did not know that you worked at WL. It is very dark. We stayed there for the first time in October and I liked it but nothing will ever compare to the Poly for me. If the Poly would just have DVC!

It was so nice to see you! I'll stop back after my trip and let you know if I have the guts to attempt a TR ;)

Have a good night girls!

True! Unlimited Snark is WAY better than the Pay As You Go option. Although, if you can't afford it, the Pre-Paid Incessant Blather is a good way to go. We can hook you up with a coupon (pronounced "COO-pon" not "Q-Pon")

Course there's always the initiation test you'll have to score 60% or better on to really be IN:

T or F: or Pick One:

1. Scrabble is your idea of a good way to spend a Saturday Night, or any night.

2. You know everything there is to know about at least one Football or Baseball team.

3. Mom's work HARD! And deserve to bathe once in a while, uninterrupted

4. Clooney and Pitt? or Timeless Dead Stars?

5. Donald or Mickey? (trick question)

5. Fishnet Stockings are SO sexy! And comfortable!

H. "Rock, Paper, Scissors" and "Guess which Hand" are real sports.

3. 70% of this thread met last September

4. 10% had new babies

J. pirate: Is secret code for WHAT? (fill in the blank)____________.

k. Baby Nurse has 8 known nick names. One will get you smacked, which one?

:confused3 These are trick questions.....I pleed the 5th. I will take te 30 day trial membership. Thanks!!!!

A great book to read to your kids, by David Shannon, he wrote the "No, David!" book.

Pay attention when I have classes.

So, I bought the fake nyquil on my way home from school, took a dose and went straight to bed. I did have to put the baby in her crib.:rolleyes1

Was up most of the night cause baby couldn't sleep. Woke up the usual time 530 put on the news, our kids have school. There's barely any snow yet. Figures.

Take my shower, wake up 1st son, he eats, as he is putting the water on for his shower, they cancel school.

I am mean and funky cause I really could have used the extra sleep.

AF is here on top of everything and it's a weigh in day and I'm up.

So if you hear a deep growl in my chest, you've been warned.

Good Morning Gang. Lots of pages to catch up on. So much to say, but I'll try to keep a lot of it to myself.

DTD: Ok. We're even. See? I'm easy to get along with. Don't believe the rest of this crowd.

Betsy: Long time no see. Have fun at Disney.:goodvibes

Twinkadoodle: I'll take incessant blather for $400

Cy: It looks like you might have passed the trick question part of the initiation process. Goog luck on the personal interview and talent competition. Can you twirl a baton?

Monica: Love the pics of your kids! Too cute!!!

:wave2: to everybody else. It's a busy day here. Caleb is 13!!!!!!! TWO teenagers in the house now. How did I get old enough to have teenagers? I'm only 26.:confused3

I can't complain though, cuz he's a great kid. I never have to tell him to do his homework, gets good grades, will babysit his little brothers in a pinch, does his chores without TOO much reminding, and he is funny in a smartypants kinda way. He's the quietest of all my kiddos, but he's such a deep thinker. When he was little, he would sit quietly while we would all be jabbering around and then come up with the most profound questions. He has always amazed me with his thought process.

AND, to top it all off, everybody says he's the spitting image of me. (poor kid)

AND when I was pregnant with him, I used to tell his lil in-utero self NOT to be born in January b/c we had too many January bday's in the family, plus purple is my favorite color and when I'm old and get a mother's ring, I want a purple stone in there. So he waited until February 1st at 8:05 a.m. Wasn't that so sweet of him?

AND when he was born, there were complications and they called in a neonatologist to attend the delivery. He came out purple and not breathing, meconium stained, cord wrapped around his neck, no heartbeat, floppy, lifeless. I remember watching that doctor and nurse working on him furiously for several minutes and the room was silent. Lemme tell you, there wasn't a dry eye in the room when he finally decided to take his first breath and SHRIEKED his arrival into the world. Of course, I was worried about any long term ramifications from all those complications, but he is A-OK in every way.

Did I ramble enough? I always get reflective on my kids bday's. Sorry. Ok, enough bragging on my first born male. Of course he's not perfect, but gosh he's close.:cloud9:

BBN: Ok I'm crying like a baby over here. Like my nose wasn't already running enough on it's own.

Happy Birthday Caleb.

Is 13 a big deal for boys like it is girls?

GOOG MORNING!

No time to catch up....there'll be time for that tonight.

Finally had the dog put down yesterday. Don't be sad...it was past time. DH took her and said they had to stick her three times before they got a vein. She was crying and yelping. Poor DH was crying too. The vet didn't charge him.

Had to take Emily to the Dr yesterday after I got a call from school....sinus infection. Z pack and some Sudafed should do the trick.

Another eventful weekend here....speech tournament, basketball game, birthday party, feeding 200 for lunch at church this Sunday and all topped off with two Super Bowl parties.

Monica....Bummer on not calling school earlier! They have to call it here by 5 am so the buses don't run. I always check the district web site for closings. They post it on there right away. Try to get some rest. OH...and I love Stripes. If fact I love all the David Shannon books. DS actually streaked down the street like No David when he was little. I also love Alice the Fairy!

BNCG....Glad you have conceded victory! What a sweet story about your lil man. How can he be 13 if you're only 12?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CALEB!

HAVE A GREAT FRIDAY, EVERYBODY!
