Moonlight magic if non DVC resort

We decided to make a quick trip down to join family in September but staying value(out of points).We just noticed there’s a moonlight magic while we are there. Do we get to book early for the event because we are on property? Or wait until it opens to all members?

I believe you have to book on points to get early booking for moonlight magic.

I booked the MK moonlight magic event on the first day of registration even though I was staying on a cash non-DVC reservation, keep in mind there was an issue with the online registration so I had to call in and have MS book for me but I did successfully book the event.

What information do you need to book online? I'll be there in September and might be the one available to book when registration opens up, so I want to have everything I need ready to go that morning.

I saw that. It even went on to say if you book cash you are still eligible to book early. But I wasn’t sure because we are at a non- DVC resort too. I know we will have to drive.

Yes, you can book early. There's been some glitches with the most recent registrations and you'll probably end up having to call in to do the registration as the system isn't getting set up to cross reference membership if the reservation isn't booked with points on a qualified membership.

Oh yes...this is a biggie. Not all members are “qualified.” I hope you are.

The membership I'm staying on is qualified, the person with the blue card will be staying in the room and is planning to attend Moonlight Magic if we can get tickets. I'm just the one who is more likely to be available when booking starts.

The reservation must include his name, and you will have to give his membership number, and I believe the resort reservation number. Only six tickets, unless the one reservation is for more people. Two valid members cannot book two different tickets for the same resort reservation

Yup. Just went to the moonlight magic this month at AK. But we were at the poly on our points. So was unsure how it worked if staying on cash.

If the online booking works then you will be fine with the information that you have, if the online system is messed up again (I am just going to assume it will be since it has happened to me twice) then the member will need to call into MS to have them book for your party.
