Monthly Assignment - post ideas. What to do next?

Mabey we could post the link for the abc photos. Each person could start an album on flicker, or photobucket and post each letter there. I would LOVE this for an assigment because it forces me to take 24 photos AND to look harder at life.
Another thought,
divide the alphabet into 4 parts and start a new thread for each part on the week for that part.
EX: week 1- a-f week 2- f-k

I think if we are going to do a photo scavenger hunt we only do like the first 9 or 10 letters of the alphabet, list the letters with at least 2 items to shoot, but not restricted it to a certain day or week, just see what you can find off the list and post what letter you are posting under.
I think this way people aren't held to finding certain shots for that week or day and will have more time and participation from other board members to go out and shoot.

Really I like any idea that can be a simple challange to a beginer. I love the fact that many of the challanges are simple enough were I can find some way to do them (aka- shutter speed AND water in april).

Thank you for posting that. I struggle with making the assignments fun and challenging enough for more experienced folks, while keeping it simple enough so that everyone can participate.

I apologize this month's assignment is so late, the last week has been super busy.

I went through the thread again to gather ideas. I *really* like the idea of a scavenger hunt type assignment. It would be a lot of fun and now that the weather's good, it should be easier for everyone to get out shooting (ie no excuses, lol).

But since I'm late here and we're almost a week into the month, I think I'll plan it for next month and try to post it a little early (ie late this month) so people can get started. Please post more ideas about exactly how to do it - should we try just a set # of letters to start, or would that be limiting? I do agree if we make it one pic per day by letter, that might be a little constricting. (However if anyone wishes to start a thread doing just that, please go ahead! Keeping a long running thread might be easier than just a one month thread. )

Keep your ideas coming for above and also other ideas you'd like to see.

I like the idea of a scavenger type assignment. Who wants to help me with the specifics of it? If it helps, we could make it a "summer" assignment, ie for the months of June, July and August.
