A friend of mine who works at Monsters Inc Laugh Floor (as a character) was telling me that until recently the computers have only been working at about 40% of capacity for video detail. They are in rehearsals for the upgrade and within the next two weeks, without any fanfare, they will be upgrading all the audio and video and will be using 80% of the computer capacity. He said if you thing he effects are good now, see what happens after the upgrade.

Good. They needed it.
The show is cute. But I was surprised and disappointed that each show is basically just repeated. I had thought each one would be much more unique.

It did need to be upgraded. You could tell that the comedians or monsters, or whatever, were a little grainy.

I was at the Monsters Inc show last week and I was expecting it be well not too good based on reviews that I 've read. But I though it was great. We sat in the front frow and the Monsters on the screen seemed to interact flawlessly with the people in the audience. I'd go again.

ihaven't been for awhile but have loved the laugh floor each time I went. it's not the monsters that make the show but the audience's response. I was told awhile ago by a cm that they were phasing in upgrades and script changes as the "actors" got used to the software and what it could do. will have to check it out again next time I am at MK.

The animation could be better, but that's not the problem.

The show seems very interactive the first time you see it. But then you see it again and you realize it's done in such a way that there is very little real improvisation. In other words, it's pretty much the same show over and over. A different state is used for punchline, a different guest is made fun of, but it's basically the same thing.

If they upgrades are going to address THAT, then they are onto something. But it doesn't sound like that's what's being changed.
